Man I’m so glad I decided to randomly click this. Never heard of this guy until I saw this, but I’ve been listening to this over and over for the last 2 days. Probably about 25 times now. I love the soul in the song, the unsettling major/minor mix on guitar, the beaten-up voice, the dark, bluesy-folk vibe….it’s such a haunting song, and it gets better every time I listen to it. Thank you to whoever requested this!
my girlfriend had me come to his concert and i didn’t really know his music at all beside what she played in the car. he was fantastic and he had great crowd interaction which was crazy. he would let the crowd clap and choose the tempo of how he played his songs. it was crazy
He’s actually amazing live. Plays with a band and does some songs like this. But he can stop a song and joke around before he gets back into it. Does a lot of bluegrass and country but his albums are all over the place
This was great . I’m glad someone suggested it. Lincoln Durham does a one man band thing as well and is also amazing, especially live . First time I saw him, he was an opening act and I had no idea what to expect. Fan for life.
Having seen him a few times live, his crowd interaction is GREAT… he has an intuitive grasp of what an audience needs, and gives it to him… one of the greatest live performers out there… this video was my introduction to his ever-evolving style, a style all his own
Huge fan of Shakey Graves, cool to see a reaction. Maybe not your guys' preferred style but but what if it was a heavier blues rock style? Is that something you could get into?
I hope you two boys have had a chance to actually see Shakey Graves live (or watch a live video). Your comments about how you think he would be completely unable to connect with an audience live (because he has to stay so focused on his complex playing) is so completely off base. This guy has incredible soul. He loves his audience and they love him.

You should watch the entire audio tree session. It's epic. The man is in a class all his own.

It's called a reaction video, lads! So react! All power to you.

All due respect, but what the heck are you talking about crowd interaction? Do you want bands to interview the crowd?
