Stuck a comment up on the discord, but Aaron pretty much nailed this. I'm pretty sure it's the guitarist that writes all the song and they record all their songs "live" rather than section by section, which is why it sounds quite raw. The only post production is the guitarist layering a second guitar track over the song, as far as I'm aware. They play quite a bit of reggae as well as the more aggressive "party-punk" stuff - their albums really are a vibe. Glad you both enjoyed this. I'd have given Joel the cell for the rating, but Aaron wins it because of how well he summarised the music. Excellent stuff!

I'm surprised cuz "freaked by the speaker" is usually the first Keller tune people hear but he's always fun. Hopefully you guys see more though cuz he was one of the first to really master and popularize live looping.

As someone who didn’t see whatever tiktok or commercial this was on, I LOVE this song. Also I work a cashier job at night, and I’ll usually get some music going, and this has gotta be the song that people ask about or comment on how much they like it more than any other song in my collection of playlists that probably span 600+ songs. It’s a super repetitive song, too, but it doesn’t bother me at all because it’s so lovely and catchy.

Banger. If you've not checked out their album "you'll be fine", I really recommend it, I still think it's their best material. Although this is probably my favourite track they've released in a while

Toots version is my favorite version of the song. John denver ia great an made a banger but your not enjoying it at a party an having that "vibe" as you put it even just going about your day. John made a ole classic as I said. But toots gave it a beautiful upbeat vibe that gives you an appreciation for the song an for the moment your listening. An that's a very hard thing to do when it comes to covers.

This is old school post punk. They had a great rhythm section. All bass and all snare. No kick drum no cymbals.

So what they’re saying is metal and steel weapons couldn’t touch him, fire couldn’t touch him, ice can’t touch him. The line right after Fire and Ice says were thrown at him but were repelled. My guess is that it would be fire and ice magic thrown at him by Loki.

As a Hip fan since the years when they sold out Canadian concert venues and we would cross the border into Ohio and see them in bars, this performance wrecks me. Just wrecks me, and only fans will get that. We can hear the music that was, and hear the screaming good bye and the rage against the dying of the light.
