I made this for Christmas (2021) and my husband LOVED it - my whole family loved it!!! He said it reminded him of Bread Pudding he used to get when he worked at Baptist Hospital in Memphis and ate in the cafeteria. FOR YEARS I've heard about this lady's bread pudding and I tried to replicate it, but YOUR CORN PUDDING was the one recipe that was closest to what he had tasted - years ago - at the hosptial cafeteria. There was a long time family restaurant (a NJ diner) that used to serve corn pudding & it was my favorite!! The last generation retired & the location sold to a different type of restaurant. This looks exactly like theirs used to! Can’t wait to try it!

I have never added milk or sugar. Hubbys diabetic so i never add sugar. But mines basically the same and it is so so good. Just started making this. And it will be an every year dish
This is the recipe that I use and it is delicious! I change it up a little bit every time I make it. Last time I used a couple tablespoons of honey instead of the sugar and I also added cheddar cheese and chopped jalapenos, just because I love the flavor it gives. I'm grateful for this amazing recipe!

Some have experienced loss of love ones, others are separate due to social distancing, some are together (ignoring the social distancing rules) but there’s that looming worry are they really safe. Not sure if this is an appropriate meal for breakfast or not but your energy has made me want to buy the stuff I need and make this right away. Looks so tasty. It also looks like something I can use to make for the Thanksgiving meal dinner I volunteer at the homeless shelter at too easily . Which is a huge deal to me to be easy and kinda as least costly as possible bc I'm on a fixed income due to being handicapped now but I'm still capable of more than a lot people in my condition. So I feel like I have to give back since I've been blessed , to bless others in ways I am still capable of doing it also makes mr feel needed now which is a important to my mental health . Attitude of gratitude is important part of living a healthy lifestyle I've learned . Thanks for the energy and recipes . This is a thanksgiving staple for my family during the holidays! So simple, yet so delicious! I use the same recipe minus the sugar😊. Thanks for sharing ❤
I boil my white potatoes and sweet potatoes together, add chicken bone broth instead of milk, clarified butter, salt, just a touch of cayenne, and whip them like mashed potatoes. It is a beautiful color. I make it while the turkey bakes, put it in a casserole dish and sprinkle a little paprika on top, and put it in the oven to warm up while carving the turkey. It's as delicious as it is gorgeous. Make a lot! The next morning, dice up some fresh shallot or sweet onion, add a bit of real maple syrup, and add it to the mashed sweet potatoes. Then, use that combo in a recipe for potato pancakes. Best potato pancakes, ever!! It's a special Thanksgiving leftover treat, especially when you have family staying with you for the holiday weekend.

You can add creamed corn in any soup... We use this in the Caribbean in our soup along with chopped up corn on the cob.
