  • A ride review of the Silence S01 7kw 62mph Electric Motorcycle & Speed Test
    A link to the actual bike is here. www.green-mopeds.com/silence/...
    Green-Mopeds.com is a London based electric-only moped and motorcycle dealer and importer. We started in 2017 by signing a dealership with Torrot (torrot.com/) after initially seeing an electric moped for rent on holiday in Portugal.
    Since then we looked for more brands and became the UK Importer for ECCity Motorcycles from France (www.eccity-motocycles.com/) and then Super Soco (supersoco.co.uk/) from China.
    In early 2018 we were then approached by Askoll (www.askollelectric.com/) to be their first London dealer and soon followed by Lifan who were lauching their first moped the E3 (www.lifanmotos.net/product/ddc....
    Later in 2019 we also signed up with SurRon with their hugely popular and lightweight LBX Lightbee (www.sur-ron.com)
    Mid 2019, we signed up to be the first dealer for Niu (www.niu.com) and sold the first 9 of their new NGT model when it was launched at the end of 2019.
    In early 2020 the UK Importer for Torrot moved on to other things and we became their importer to support existing customers of the Muvi range.
    Later in 2020 after a request from a customer, we signed up with Artisan (artisanscooters.com/) to sell not only their brand but also Horwin (www.horwinglobal.com/) and Kollter (www.kollter.com/).
    Recently we have added ThElMoCo (thelmoco.com) who supply LVENG bikes (www.lvnengebike.com) and now SunRa (www.sunraev.com) and hence offering the broadest range of any electric motorcycle dealer in the UK.
    We have been approached by many manufacturers to become their importers which we will consider when the time is right.

    For the future I would consider buying a battery with even more capacity, when they produce one, which is likely and they should eventually upgrade the suspension, add ABS and traction control. As this is the first version of the bike, they have done a rally great job and I can recommend it. The price is fair and Silence is known for very good customer service.

    I’m in Tenerife Spain. Seeing this for the first time after seeing this in a Honda showroom. Would definitely look into this when I return to the UK. In the London Essex boarders. Ideal commute 8 to from work.

    I've been hoping for a U.S. importer - so far, no go, apparently. But we can still get all the dodgy Alibaba Chinese scooters we can click on.

    Wow, as you know I have the NiU and my Vespa HPE 300. Both great scooters Must say If I'd known about this scooter before I bought the Vespa I would have gone for it. I may think about trading in while the Vespa is mint.

    Its a really great bike, I have used mine for 6 months, but no way you get 80 miles range. With mixed riding I get 55 max. If ridden carefully, perhaps 65. Also the odometer is off by about 10%, so real max speed is 55mph. Otherwise it is probably the most advanced electric scooter there is at the moment. If you want anything better, there is only the Zero for £10k plus…

      @johntray1462 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      did you find if there is a de-restriction process, for example hold break and throttle turn on key turn off key release throttle then break to get more speed and 0=50mph

    Bit late to the show but you state £4995 but the S01 connected that does 62mph is £5695, so am a bit confused, as the standard s01 is £4995 but does 52mph, or am I getting this all wrong?

    • @GreenMopeds
      @GreenMopeds  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When the video was made, the price was £4995. The Government reduced the grant on December 17th so the price went up to £5695 at that time

    • @GreenMopeds

    We know the price of a NIU battery, approx £1000. I wonder do you have a price for this battery? Bearing in mind both have 3 year warranties and these are the ‘engines’

    • @GreenMopeds
      @GreenMopeds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need 2 a NIU Batteries in the NQiGTS so its over £2000 for both. A single S01 Battery is about the same as 2 X NIUs
