  • This is a ride review of the Kollter ES1-S Pro. AKA Artisan and Tinbot including a speed test.
    green-mopeds.c...
    Green-Mopeds.com is a London based electric-only moped and motorcycle dealer and importer. We started in 2017 by signing a dealership with Torrot (torrot.com/) after initially seeing an electric moped for rent on holiday in Portugal.
    Since then we looked for more brands and became the UK Importer for ECCity Motorcycles from France (www.eccity-mot...) and then Super Soco (supersoco.co.uk/) from China.
    In early 2018 we were then approached by Askoll (www.askollelec...) to be their first London dealer and soon followed by Lifan who were lauching their first moped the E3 (www.lifanmotos.....
    Later in 2019 we also signed up with SurRon with their hugely popular and lightweight LBX Lightbee (www.sur-ron.com)
    Mid 2019, we signed up to be the first dealer for Niu (www.niu.com) and sold the first 9 of their new NGT model when it was launched at the end of 2019.
    In early 2020 the UK Importer for Torrot moved on to other things and we became their importer to support existing customers of the Muvi range.
    Later in 2020 after a request from a customer, we signed up with Artisan (artisanscooter...) to sell not only their brand but also Horwin (www.horwinglob...) and Kollter (www.kollter.com/).
    We have been approached by many manufacturers to become their importers which we will consider when the time is right.
    Always happy to help so please feel free to contact us through any of the channels below.

    I own one of these United States version and you can get a different sprocket for the front. Mine wasn't getting up to speed from what the speedometer was reading. The solution was a different front sprocket to get the speed it's rated at. The dealer shipped me a 15tooth sprocket.

      Interesting..you know there's a dash board setting to calibrate wheel size?

    Good day, I am trying to get an idea of the range at around 30 mile per hour (50KM per hour) in each of the three modes (eco, drive, and sport) Thanks Peter

    My question..
    If you just charge one battery, then install it. Will they even themselves out? Will I eventually have to charge the second, harder to get to, battery?

    • @GreenMopeds
      @GreenMopeds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes, many of them do that but restrict the speed till the batteries are more even

    Would you say the Silence SO1 is faster than this? I know that one is 9kw peak on a 7kw motor, but to me the SO1 seems much faster.

    • @GreenMopeds
      @GreenMopeds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To me it feels more responsive than the Kollter

    • @johnrobertmelescan2245
      @johnrobertmelescan2245 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well this "guy" reaches 45 in 12 seconds, while the silence reaches 30 in 3.9 seconds according them. Now overall, which one would you personally choose, based on comfort, acceleration, range, ease of charge, road behaviour and based on all the other components (tyres, motor brand, accessory list)?

    • @GreenMopeds

      @@johnrobertmelescan2245 They are different propositions. Kollter has off-road capability of course. Silence is better for commuting etc

    Interesting liitle bike ansdmaybe just what i need for my short commute. One question though is how would it handle some fairly steep hills as i have a few of these on my route to work.

    • @GreenMopeds
      @GreenMopeds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It has up to 11kw which is more than enough for most hills

    How does the acceleration at various speeds compare to the tc max and horwin cr6?
    It seems like the top speed is basically the same (a bit lower in your video but I get battery run in takes a little while) so are they using the extra power of low end torque rather than top speed or is the increased power rating just for marketing?

    • @colinpalmer9070
      @colinpalmer9070 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Looks very similar to my TC MAX. Will only do 60 on flat with a light rider and a tail wind

    • @cinergiflims
      @cinergiflims 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@colinpalmer9070 thats what it looks like but the quoted power is loads more than the tc max. 5kw - 11kw so what the heck are they doing with the extra power? I was hoping it was being used for low end torque but if not it may just be an inefficient motor or just marketing. I'd really love some info if anyone has used them both because it's hard to pick between them (horwin cr6, tc max and es1 Pro).

      @GreenMopeds  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We put some timings up and will do the same with a TC Max shortly

      Something is definately wrong, no way it's pulling 11kw. 11kw/72v=150A. My Super Soco TS with homemade 20S20P and QS 4KW motor does 0 to 40mph (60kmph) in about 5 seconds instead of the 12 shown here. Yes it's a bit lighter but not that much that it takes 7 seconds more here...

      @DeltaCmndrElite 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On kollter website it says max amps 110a so that's like less than 8kw max and its a heavy bike. My electric diy bike is running 15kw and I can still pick it up one handed and can top out around 70mph 0 to 60mph is around 5 to 6 seconds. I am in the process of trying to get it registered

  • @pikachus5m166

    I've noticed there's a modding scene regarding the SurRon, with owners tuning their bikes to double, triple the power, is that applicable to the Artisan ?

    • @GreenMopeds
      @GreenMopeds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can de-restrict a road legal surron to make it go the same speed as the off-ron if that's what you mean. The only way to get 2x or 3x power is to change controllers, batteries etc. There is not an equivalent on the Kollter
