There were some dark spots, but if the Florida highways around here were as well lit as most of that highway, I'd be in heaven. 180 in the pitch black gets a bit nerve wracking after a while.

I have a question, when you are slowing down while on the highway, do you grab front, rear, or botg brakes? Since you aren't slowing down to zero wouldn't it be rear brake? Im a soon to be rider and I am curious.
Most of the time I just use engine braking but if I’m intentionally trying to stop quickly I’ll use both brakes

S1000RRs have ABS. Both brakes are applied at the same time with the front brake lever. 😉 Rear brake lever is pointless if you don't turn off ABS.

Rocket I have a a problem and I don’t no what to do so I want a 2024 or newer s1k as a starter but I am 16 and 5,8 140 pounds. I know the risk of starting with a 1000 but I also know that I want that I want a s1k now not later I also know I want do something stupid on it. so should I get the s1k or something else. Thank you for the advice if anyone answers
I bought a yamaha R6 for my first bike. After about 2000 miles of riding, a friend let my ride his S1K. The next day I went and bought a new S1K and used my R6 for the trade in. My only regret was not buying the S1K the first time. With all the rider aids on the new 1000cc bikes, they are just as easy to ride as any smaller bike. Use your money wisely and get the BMW.

@@s1krocket If you can come up with a rational explanation as to why, then perhaps he will listen to your biased advice. Literally minimum differences between a 600cc - 160 mph, 1000cc - 185 mph. Both bikes accelerate just as fast. Crashing either bike results in the same injuries or death. Thats like telling a guy he should get a v6 Mustang for his first mustang, instead of the V8 mustang or he should buy a bb gun instead of .40 pistol for his fist gun.

@@s1krocket Like i stated before, liter bikes are as safe as ever. Ever heard of traction control, wheelie control, or ABS? If you are messing up so bad as to crash a liter bike, you will crash a 600cc just as easy.
