    We took a few day trip up to the White Mountains, NH. But before we could go I had to fix a coolant leak. I needed a new O-ring for an oil cooling water pipe. I'll also break down how work on an engine with a tilt cab truck that doesn't tilt, haha.

    I did not know the panel under the drivers seat comes out, I have a leaking pipe on that side. Looks like a badly done join in diesel inlet or return line. Now I know how to get to it. Not done much work on my Isuzu NHS; changed the brake fluid, did the fuel filter, and cleaned out water heater and ordered a new cathode. Its been a bit hot 42.0c - 109 Fahrenheit on Christmas day. Still not tackled the cambelt or water pump. Thanks for the inspirational videos Bobby.

      Thanks for watching! Yeah I wish I knew too remove the panel before I did the belts it would have made a huge difference in that job. Yeah anything on that side I think would be a breeze to get to if you needed anything done over there

    Absolutely envious of your Elf. I’ve been thinking of getting JDM camper for awhile now. For some reason I’ve always been drawn to the Isuzu’s. I would love to see a tour and a walkthrough of what you’ve done to it. Love the vids and the awesome mobile!!

      Thanks! There should be a tour coming later this spring after I finish a few more things. Thanks for watching! And I highly recommend that you get an isuzu camper.

    VERY helpful video!
    Thank you for filming this! I don't yet have a leak at that point but I already bought an entire 4JG2 engine seal set off ebay. It was the only place I could find one. I also need to replace my diesel heater. It is inop at this time but I am most likely going to replace with a Chinese new model.

      doing the seals sounds like a really good idea. Did yours come with the diesel heater? Mine came with a massively heavy broken propane heater ahah I couldn't wait to get rid of that thing. But the Webasto is amazing, super expensive but other then that I am super happy with it. I watch a lot of Foresty forest videos and he runs his Chinese diesel heater all the time and its going strong so doesn't seem like a bad place to save a little money.

      @@bobbyswampfox mine came with a diesel heater that is already plugged into the tank. It is a japanese version. I love forresty forrest videos. I watch all of them too!

    Thanks for the videos, love seeing the Elf in the snow.
    I have an Elf in Oz, 4x4 auto and not had to engage full off road drive yet
    Fitted a garret turbo to the 4JG2 but no intercooler, helped with the torque at 2000 rpm
    What size rims and tires are you running on the rear, mine are the smaller duals.
    Keep the videos coming
    Great job

      Nice, thank you! I'll keep making them thanks for the motivation.
      That sounds cool, how involved was installing that turbo?
      My rear wheels are the same as the front just single wheel not duelly. 16" rim with the Firestone Transforce AT2 terrain commercial light truck tire LT225/75R16 115 R E tires

    You answered my question in this video. Trying to find parts for the Nissan Atlas is not easy. I have had to order parts out of Japan, but I see you are getting parts here in the U.S. Maybe the Isuzu is the better way to go with the Japanese campers.

    • @bobbyswampfox
      @bobbyswampfox  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have trouble finding most here too I still import parts. I think you can find parts for the Nissan too but not all. I'll reach out to a friend that is selling his atlas he did a ton of work to his

      @bobbyswampfox  ปีที่แล้ว

      So no good insight on the atlas info. But I use jp-carparts.com to order most parts or fitinpart.sg but other than that it's a lot of research

      AMAYAMA is a great site for importing car parts, just look at the right chassis codes and youre good to go.

    Same process as working on my HiAce, not difficult but time consuming to get access. Hey, could do with some cold weather over here in hot Australia😀

  • @wc3101
    @wc3101 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Does the van come with some form of water heating to stop pipes from freezing, that or your go to winterizing ideas? Do you use your taps and shower in the winter etc?

    • @bobbyswampfox
      @bobbyswampfox  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No nothing like that no shower or hot water in the winter I have a 5 gallon tank with a submersible pump for running water but nothing for pex pipes.
