  • Somebody washed the hood of this brand new Nissan Versa with an abrasive pad, steel wool, or Scotch Brite scrubber, and it ruined the gloss and shine in the spot. The damage is highly visible, but luckily it was only superficial and easily removed through polishing with the TORQX dual action polisher!

The TORQX is a professional grade machine that can run for days on end without breaking or stopping.
    TORQ just redefined the industry standard with one easy-to-use, powerful, lightweight, and versatile machine: The TORQX.

    Using a brillo pad is way too aggressive for bird droppings...I usually use a hammer

    The moment he added the material to the pad it looked like an artist and with a palette of paint. If you consider the tone of his voice, the cadence of his dialogue, and editing style; it felt like a video for Bob Ross Joy of Detailing.

    Nice intro to using a machine. I did some spot polishing with a cloth years ago, but I've got mineral deposits from a farmer's sprinkler to deal with now. Too much to deal with using a cloth, but was concerned about using a machine on my paint. Off to try it on a test area. Thanks for posting this!

      Hi Chan, thank you for watching. We're a company that's really passionate about cars, so our mission is to keep them as clean as possible using tools that don't cause harm to your sensitive paintwork. What really drives us is passion, an we know that people really want to do a great job detailing their own vehicles as well. We look at allot of products on the market, and we try to come up with better solutions because we notice many inefficiencies. Mainly we're all about making people's lives easier, I didn't know anything about detailing, but I've watched enough of our videos to take on most jobs, and I was fortunate enough to participate in the SDU training program which opened my eyes to the possibility of detailing vehicles as a viable business. We provide the tools so people can develop the confidence to do the things they thought were not possible.

Which one should I go with if I am a novice just starting out with detailing my cars? I haven't seen any feedback on the TorQX other than what Chemical Guys say because they sell it. The PC 7424XP has really good reviews and seems to have been around longer. Just looking for feedback on if one is preferred over the other. Thanks.

    I have a new torqx haven't used it yet. Tons of scratches need to be removed. after that can I use the machine to add glazes and waxes over the factory racing stripes(2013 dodge challenger). I'm sure obviously i wouldn't use a cutting pad over the stripes. But i want to make sure the paint in between the different lines of the stripes and the stripes themselves look good and are protected.

    I just bought several of your products and a polisher from Amazon I use some of the VSS by hand and it’s working good I just don’t know if I need something stronger my car that I bought was neglected it’s a Cadillac CTS and it needs some paint correction and a high gloss finish thinking about putting some type of clearcoat or ceramic coating or something on it

      Hey! Check out C4 Clear Cut Compound for more cutting power. Absolutely, apply a ceramic such as HydroSlick to lock in your hard work.

    Ummmm....after about the tenth guy asking his question....and seeing no responses to those questions....why do people still keep asking questions?....do you think he is going to pick yours to answer? Also, i have taught myself how to do woodworking, motor repair, paint correction etc. Am i great at any? No....am i way better because when I had a question I didnt ask it in the comments...i went and found another video related to my question. That video normally answered my question and I learned additional information about the subject and perhaps it raised another question and then I watched another video and so on and so forth. If you think you're just going to watch one video and then ask a question like "hey how can I make my car look like a professionally polished Ferrari ....oh yeah and I need to be done in 40 min. As I have ADD"....well, nobody is going to be able to answer that question in three sentences. Actually, i could. Answer: you have no patience so take it to s pro, pay up, go shopping, and soon it will be all done. Otherwise, watch, learn and oractice.

    Thanks for the video. If your car is new and doesn't have swirls or paint damage, can you still use the TORQ polisher with a different pad to just polish and protect the surface?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Yes, the TORQ Polishers are very versatile, they can be used to correct paint or apply coats of glaze, sealant, and wax.

    Good video. Stupid question : do I need to protect the windshield, windows, headlights... when polishing with a machine?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When polishing, you want to cover small areas in a 2ft by 2ft radius. It's best to use painter's tape to cover areas that you don't want to accidentally polish. From what I've seen, it's best to cover door handles, plastic trim, and headlights. Stick to dual action polisher, it's safer.

      Hi there Frenchman,
      I completely misinterpreted your question. Yes, you're going to want to tape off the windshield, windows, and headlights when polishing just to be extra safe.

      Hi Neil, good question. If the bird droppings have etched in, then you can polish them out using the techniques used in the video above. Thanks for watching, Neil, and thanks for being a part of the Chemical Guys family!
