you forgot to tell them to put the skep on a post in the woods so it doesn't get busted if the forget it for to long. the fence post makes the skep to high for raccoons to break/steal from. other then that perfect video.
oh yeah. sometimes the flowers may also be to far away so raising the flowers up to the hive will get the will hive population up as well. i think they gotta be within 2-3 blocks or they don't count towards the hive.
@@dracsfantastic You really think so huh? It's just that I am normally a behind the scenes type of guy. I'm not the guy in front of the camera and I hate my voice
I've picked up this game a few days ago and I have been loving it. But I can't seem to find bees. From this video I can tell their sound is very faint, so I migh have to look in the forest close to my base again. Anyway, my question is, is there a limit to how close you can put the skeps to eachother? Does it have to be at least 2 blocks between the skeps? I already made an 11x11 fence, filled it with flowers, put a dummy in the middle and place for 8 skeps around it with 1 block space in between, and 2 blocks gap to the fence. Is your video still up to date or did things change recently? Edit: Nevermind about my first question, I saw another video and they said they can be right next to each other but no further than 3 blocks if you want them to populate another skep.
Yes they can be close. My advice when looking for bees is to stop looking and then your will find them 🤣 But honestly, turn the sound up and wander near forests. You will find them 🐝
@@dracsfantastic Thank you for the reply! After searching for a couple of in game months I gave up and placed one on a tree in creative mode. I then did everything else legit. Another couple of months went by, it's now winter, and now I've found a bee nest that naturally spawned, while I wasn't looking for it, like you said. It works!
My advice is always the same. Stop looking, start looking for tin, and then you will stumble upon some bees. Real question, have been you searching in the forests?
@@dracsfantastic Indeed, I selected a forest about a good thousand blocks to the south where I searched around and around for hours, I kept finding plenty of resin spots to mark on my map, but no bees. And all I keep finding are pine forests too, I think they are more common in birch and/or oak forests. Finding tin is gonna take a bit, but is probably more reasonable a goal than bees. However, I am in dire need to a better way to preserve the insane amount of fruit I'm gathering, hence my need for bees. All around, i think you made an excellent video by the way!
I love the bees in this game. I hope this helps you love them too
Beautiful and high quality content here! Thank you for tutorial. The game needs more recognition!
Thanks for the kind words. I agree on the recognition. Great game
Very helpful, I like the comment about leaving another skep by the hive.

Good to know about needing a bag slot empty to carry the skep. Still have yet to find wild bees but hopefully soon ^_^

Well done sir. I feel like I could finally actually get some bees! 🐝
I can't wait until I find bees! Maybe I can get my own TH-cam channel and share my bee adventure someday
