If it wasn't for these helpful videos, I would probably still be struggling to enter the iron age. Thanks for the great and informative Vintage Story content!
Smokey's days are numbered friend! Try pillaring up on some dirt 4 or 5 blocks with a few stacks of rocks and throw them at him. Each rock does 1 damage and he has only 100 health. The Ooga Booga method has taken care of many bears in my world
Could you do an overview of all the remaining ores and how they spawn? I don't know how zinc and bismuth's spawning works, and also some info about iron and meteoric iron would be nice! (Also all the other ores that have like 1 or 2 uses)
So, ore can generate all the way when you detect it? I thought it was just one spot and was sad when i found just a little vein when i got Ultra High, guess i'll search more!
5:32 you show "0.02" parts/mil is good, but you say "0.2". I have been looking for a week and the best i have found is 0.04 parts/mil (poor). Is that good or bad? i think your slide might be wrong.
The amount of 0.03‰ is a good amount, but the "Very Poor" describes the chance that the ore is present. So a "Very Poor 0.03‰" is a bad spot to dig in! Try moving North West South East in a straight line from that spot and take readings to try and chase down a better chanced area like "Decent" or "High" The most important thing is the adjectives
It can be brutal that way, best advice is to move 20 blocks or so away and dig to the Y level of the Olivine and then tunnel back to your original spot. So you can find the edge. But I feel you. Big drain on your tool
@@VintageCopperman thank you for the advice. i did this and i found a pretty good amount of cassiterite. Just now i got lucky and found "high cassiterite" right near a cave and i ended up with nearly 200 cassiterite nuggets. I should be able to make heaps of bronze now :)
I have been doing a lot of exploring and researching and I'm afraid I simply cannot come up with any tips or tricks for finding salt other than to look in Biomes with Sedimentary rock on top, Prospect for the highest readings of Halite, and to strip mine in the layer between sedimentary and metamorphic rock. It's a real crapshoot I'd recommend the mod expanded foods which allows you to turn seawater into salt
@@ramboturkey1926 Oceans are generated as part of the land coverage slider in world generation. Still water seems to be just a part of "Land" and anything that isnt land is "Ocean" So it seems that if I world has 100% land coverage in the settings it will never have oceans or salt water

I can't believe how clearly this is explained. The visualization of the ore distribution underground was golden. Thanks for another superb guide.
Thanks for your comment. Im glad you found it helpful! I am just grateful VS Allows creative tools powerful enough to make those visual aids
Nice video! Just made my first tin bronze anvil today. Unfortunately, I didn't get to celebrate long before a bear wandered into my front yard.

Hey, my game in 1.19 annonce very poor with 0.03% is it normal ? You said that 0.02% is big amount
