Acacia is in a warm biome, so you might have to travel far. Oak is not as common as the other trees in the temperate zone. Tree hunting can sometimes be a challenge. Sending out positive vibes
I couldn't find limestone or borax anywhere near where I started (for atleast 5k blocks in all directions). But I've found the commodities trader sells lime every now and then, so that's another way to get it
Step 1 : Lime or Borax.... and so my journey comes to a close, we had a good run, filled the map out in tremendous amounts, but it seems my leather making quest is one not to be completed. Seriously I can't for the life of me find any limestone or borax, I've resorted to scrounging shells from the beach and haggling with merchants for those precious piles of powder

Thanks for the video! I could'nt figure out how to make the tannin and lime water.. turns out I need to put the water BEFORE the components and not the opposite to seal it.. wish they specified that somewhere lol
Another great video man, thanks. Quick question though. After I've made lime or tannin solution, put hide in and taken them out, I'm left with about a liter of solution in the barrel. How to I restart the process? I'm trying to refill my Limewater and Tannin barrel (both with 2l left in each) and the bucket isn't working. Yes there is water in it. Instead of the swish swish you get when it pours and then takes it out (if you click too much) all it does is bring up the menu to seal it.
Thanks for comment. I think you are trying to save the left over? If that is the case, I always have a couple of spare barrels that I store the excess until it reaches 50 and then use it :) Let me know if that helps
It does and I was assuming maybe that's why you had the multi-tiered set up at the end of the video (which I kind of stole but changed by putting 3 low and high barrels on each side of a bucket and half chest in between the sets. Basically I couldn't figure out why I couldn't add water to the 2l left and accidentally removed it when my bucket got empty (flooded my roof, don't ask lol) @@dracsfantastic

Tedious was the exact word I used the first time I read how to do it. Honestly, one you get the process started, it does generate a lot of leather.

I found borax day 2 into my play through and took until fall to realise I could've used it to soak leather 🤦
