I feel like thats the point, in the games they just appear to be a government organization that just want to try to keep humanity safe but you start to find these disturbing things by going in depth and looking beyond what we know from the games.

So, by INCREDIBLY popular demand, today we're looking at 5 of the most disturbing things done by ONI!
I must've had hundreds of comments asking for a video about ONI and their unethical doings on the last top 5 video, so here is the first of possibly many videos answering these requests and looking at their dark, sickening doings...
To add to this list: everyone seems to think the mess that was the Argent Moon was due to the flood, nope it was caused by something called Asteroidea, there is however a small catch, the ARCHON CLASS AI ONI had there, had basically assumed control of the station and was planning to selectively exterminate parts of the human race that she deemed to be unworthy of the mantle of responsibility. So there is that problem with putting it on an ONI list but she was still using ONI and Dark Moon Securities assets to: kill a UNSC admiral, kidnap her husband and children, harvest their organs, blame it on an ex-covenant faction, use a REAP-X TURACO to move the bodies to the covie faction's base, direct a team of spartan 3's and blue team to destroy the base by accident after having given it to the faction in the first place, accidentally destroy the organs via the spartan 2's and 3's and then edited CINCONI Serin Osman's orders to stop Argent Moon from stopping the experiments, to instead give it an unlimited budget

I still wish H5 turned out like Hunt the Truth made us think, I honestly don't think I've ever been that excited for a Halo game before
I watched/listened to Hunt the Truth every week it came out, and it still gives me chills. The voice acting and writing was excellent too. It was such a missed opportunity on 343's part ;(

Adriana-111 oh yeah you would be fighting the loosing fight for sure. Maybe have a scene where you think your getting close to ONI then Locke out of no where knocks out your character. Give him the ONI feel he was supposed to have.

+GoAwayGoogle I suppose it is all a matter of perspective and point of view. The whole idea of "aliens wiping out humanity" has become almost repetitive. Books and movies portray aliens as this distructive force to humanity. But, can we really be any different? Just for the past one hundred years, just look how much horror and bloodshed we've unleashed on one another in terms of wars and other conflicts, while turning a blind eye.
I personally find the "my race did some messed up stuff to my race" to be far more malicious. Human nature in general is a subject difficult to grasp and understand - why do people commit such vile deeds in the first place? Perhaps for scientific advancement? Curiosity? Revenge?
Misanthropy? Or just to sate one's own sadistic desire? I may be going off topic, not necessarily speaking of ONI, just humanity in general - yet, I still stand firm on my opinion that nothing tops humanity in the terms of "which is more darker".
the difference being, while we will do acts of horror on each other, we will not wipe the entity of our own race from the planet let alone the galaxy.

I would like to see Agent Locke doing similar shady sh*t for ONI in future games. It would really make the character more interesting if we saw him being conflicted with the questionable "deeds" he has to do for them and/or cover-up.
G Truesdale Locke and Dare division dealt with the aliens issues, but Locke himself have shown compassion to aliens unlike other agents. Locke only used ONI for their vast resources and dealt only with extremely dangerous like how Arbiter was extremely unpredictable as a shipmaster. He never agree on the genocide of the elites species unlike the rest of ONI. Locke still have connections to ONI like Dare so he know what their doing. But he would go to the low shit ONI have done in the past.
Elijah Watson Plus, I think Locke joined the Spartan branch specifically so he wouldn't have to answer to ONI. Heck, I think part of the reason Spartans got their own branch to begin with was so they weren't ONI stooges.

Now here me out on this I always wondered if it would be better to make a halo anime adaptation on one of the halo story arcs (i.e. halo fall of reach, halo the flood, halo GHOSTS OF ONYX or other books) only because it would get the most lore material into the show while making it entertaining while a movie has like a 2 hour time slot about to push out all of that material. I understand that 343 already experimented with this with halo legends but I believe it's due for a round 2 since the anime community is RAPIDLY growing and there are already plenty of halo fans out there so I think it's worth a shot. What are your thoughts?

I would absolutely love if they made a game about ONI. Just imagine, you’re an ODST carrying out missions by ONI, after time goes on, you begin to get skeptical about what you’re doing. You want to find out what is ONI doing with what you’ve done for them, but things go wrong as they try to warn you only to begin the chase. You find out so much just like (forgot his name already) only to caught. You have two decisions, live and suffer in the box, or die
Monalisa is where I started to hate ONI completely. No matter what intention they have, their works are just shitty as hell. The fact there're still a lot of fan of it did nothing but disgust me. ONI should be brought down eventually.

I think that just means the writers did a great job portraying the downsides of big government agencies.
Because lets be real, if the UN managed to unify all of Earths governments, we would litterally just have some CCP level government monitoring everything.
Once Halo Infinites story is done, 343 should do something where the UNSC is dissolved as theirs no point in a unified species wide army, and then have it delve into how countries like America, China, and random european countries would look like in the future, and what planets were controlled by which governments.
