After watching this I realized that the saddest story in my opinion is that of the didact. He was a great man until he was betrayed literally by his comrade in arms. After this he had to endure torture and abuse from the gravemind for who knows how long. After this the gravemind quite literally tore his mind apart making him unstable and rash. This led him to do a lot of very cruel and disturbing things which led to the prometheans. This guy murdered millions of humans in a desperate attempt to save his universe. He did not realize what a terrible action this would be viewed as and ended up being shot by his loved one . I mean that must really suck
He dealt with the corruption of the Master Builder to be imprisoned in a Cryptom for 10,000 years to try to desperately save the Ecumene to be driven in even worse madness that left him stranded in another Cryptum for 100,000 years alone and isolated from everything because of the firing of the Halo Array.

The forerunners didn't know of the flood so this really did look like the ancient humans were waging war. It was only very late into the war that the forerunners realised that the humans were running from something (the flood), as opposed to invading their territory

Even then, there's no reason to think the soul even gets released when the promethian is destroyed, the soul might just be sent back to whatever those artifacts are that hold the promethian souls until a new body is built for them.

The halo history is absolutely amazing. However my biggest issue is how a race as intelligent as the forerunners could fall victim to such petty emotional strife. Because they didn’t get what they want they genocide their creators? Such intelligence, I can imagine, would lead to control and clarity over emotions not rampant unchecked bullshit like that. And like the diadact and faber. The forerunner populations must have been in the hundreds of billions. So this begs the question what kind of government or ruling system existed for a population so large that just a few main forerunners could lead a whole race into ruin.

No. Truth could in theory seed new life in the galaxy himself if he could make use of the technology on the Ark to do it since it has an archive with all the samples of each indexed species there I think.
Truth may have SUSPECTED the true purpose of the Rings, but perhaps was not sure. The old Halo Encyclopedia suggested he hoped he was wrong once he lost High Charity, and that he might ascend after all.

I just realized something The thing the Didact did, transferring humans to the Domain... That concept is similar to an episode from Star Trek: The Next Generation (S7:E17) called "Masks" I don't think I'm the first to see this, but despite that I just wanted to remark on it
the domain is like the forerunner intergalactic internet (as far as I understand it) obviously it is more advance and has other functions. The domain was shut down to prevent the logic plague from spreading (I could be wrong because it has been years since I read the books). fun fact: slip-space jumps disrupt the domain to a degree, and the halo array firing really wrecked the domain. Think it was noted that the damage was not permanent but did take a while for it too heal.
Thinking back on it, the domain may have been shut down to stop the logic plague from spreading but may have turned out that mendicant bias turned it off to keep the forerunners confused.
Seems like it shut ITSELF off, being self aware. The Halo blast wiped the data, but in Halo Fractures, we learn how surviving Forerunners tried to fix it somewhat, so it could begin healing. Cortana's arrival inside of it may have further sped it along.

So i personally loved halo 4 and the lore it brought with it, especially when you think that they had to make almost all new characters after halo 3. I know this is a controversal point but honestly i loved halo 4. The multiplayer was fresh but still felt similar to halo reach "one of my favorite halos and games in general" and the story in my opinion was fantastic. Compelling, in-depth and all around fun. I do think they should dial it back on the prometheans and concentrate more on covanant to bring back their lore and make them more like bungies version instead of a minor faction or even go with the banished instead like in halo wars 2.

And like the diadact and faber. The forerunner populations must have been in the hundreds of billions. So this begs the question what kind of government or ruling system existed for a population so large that just a few main forerunners could lead a whole race into ruin.

No. Truth could in theory seed new life in the galaxy himself if he could make use of the technology on the Ark to do it since it has an archive with all the samples of each indexed species there I think.

Could you please do a vid about the domain? I don't fully understand It, it was destroyed during the forerunner-flood war but it's in Halo 4&5?
the domain is like the forerunner intergalactic internet (as far as I understand it) obviously it is more advance and has other functions. The domain was shut down to prevent the logic plague from spreading (I could be wrong because it has been years since I read the books). fun fact: slip-space jumps disrupt the domain to a degree, and the halo array firing really wrecked the domain. Think it was noted that the damage was not permanent but did take a while for it too heal.
Thinking back on it, the domain may have been shut down to stop the logic plague from spreading but may have turned out that mendicant bias turned it off to keep the forerunners confused.
Seems like it shut ITSELF off, being self aware. The Halo blast wiped the data, but in Halo Fractures, we learn how surviving Forerunners tried to fix it somewhat, so it could begin healing. Cortana's arrival inside of it may have further sped it along.

So i personally loved halo 4 and the lore it brought with it, especially when you think that they had to make almost all new characters after halo 3. I know this is a controversal point but honestly i loved halo 4. The multiplayer was fresh but still felt similar to halo reach "one of my favorite halos and games in general" and the story in my opinion was fantastic. Compelling, in-depth and all around fun. I do think they should dial it back on the prometheans and concentrate more on covanant to bring back their lore and make them more like bungies version instead of a minor faction or even go with the banished instead like in halo wars 2.
