“He’d wear her out on the rooftop”😂 The D so good it’s viable tender for criminal insider information. You’re hilarious as always. Hope you’re doing as well as you can be, all things considered. I always felt like the Batman comics have shied away from the fact that Bruce’s mom comes from a side of the family that has a long history with madness-that Bruce is as much an Arkham as he is a Wayne. That being said I haven’t read anything since about the end of Gotham War (a lame note to go on a break on, I didn’t like the ending), so I haven’t read anything since then so please no major spoilers in the comments if I’m majorly wrong or missing something that’s being addressed currently. But historically, considering that they’ve played around with the fact that Bruce spends a lot of his own time intentionally chasing down and teetering at the edge of madness. Like Batman in and of itself is a deeply insane cause, and that’s why we love him. But the fact that he’s failed so spectacularly, really since Joker War, and Alfred’s death, especially with the first half of the Zur-En-Ahrr robot arc and the fact that Bruce lost THE MANSION and everything, it’s like….what kind of end are we gonna get for main universe Bruce? Because it’s not going to be living to old age. And we’re really seeing him in a spectacular free fall of losses. How much loss can any one man, even Batman, take, before he goes mad?
The story The Character design in the story are all amazing. I love that Clayface was the main Villain at the end and how weird and obscure he is they need to make more of these
I hope Rob does the rest of Earth One. In some ways it is DC’s attempt of making an ultimate universe of there own. It has some interesting interpretations of DC’s heroes. One of my favorites is Earth One’s Green Lantern.
DC definitely needs to get this going on a more regular basis. Its amazing and needs more if a spotlight out on it and all the funding and love it deserves
Literally, I love you, I've been relentlessly searching TH-cam for like an hour and a half, and I needed this video. Plus, I am now hooked on earth one, I might actually go try and buy the whole series.
I'm loving this series and that Batmobile is perfect for this type of story, an adapted supercar, using what is available, more grounded. It also runs as a metaphor for this Batman.
i actually love and gotta give it props to the story telling and world building of this series. its honestly very creative and not our typical god knowledge level batman, its a very human like batman. which i know has to be a bit risky to write, but i respect it.
Jess being 2 face is dope, Joker I gotta see how he loooooks damn son I hope the next one comes out soon. Catwoman’s fit is different but Smoove, and the clay face reveal is dope as well
"When was the last time you saw Batman digging up graves?" The movie Batman: Under the Red Hood. He dug up Jason Todd's grave to see if he was really dead. Spoiler: He wasn't.
About the car, I think it's a good more grounded look. Basically a sports car but with reinforced resistant glass and features that a real life security vehicle has
For an early Batman I really like that he’s basically just using a modified sports car. It’s fast as hell and for the technology and types of enemies he’s dealing with it works great, he has the speed and doesn’t yet need crazy armor or anything
My guess: Arkham and Dent were revived in the lazarus pits, and Dent went crazy because of this. Going against his sisters goals for the city because she "let" him die
"you have become the embodiment of the curse, the batman" holy fuckinh shit that goes hard. Also side note, what if the curse wasnt on the arkham family, it was on Gotham, that the arkham family would be driven to create the monster the city needs, so that men like those who killed those spirits wouldnt go unpunished. Idk.
11:49 I love the fact that Catwoman looks like she could be a superhero. Cuz technically, she does do good and gives her stolen money to the poor a la Robin Hood. I think the idea that Selina sees herself as a hero Is a good take.
to put my thoughts on the car, cuz i think it's dope enough to get a comment, it reminds me of the pagani sports cars, I'd recommend going and looking them up for reference. i do feel as he's in his early stages, this sort of car would be perfect as he probably had this car rusting away in a garage somewhere and decided to use it to better fit his new persona, and the armored windows are a nice touch.
This is crazy. Like, absolutely insane. In other continuities, Preston Payne, Matt Hagen, and Basil Karlo were established as completely different incarnations of Clayface. To see that here they are just different disguises of the same person, well it has some seriously game-changing implications.

this would have been more interesting if Harvey was actually alive, but his face was completely destroyed him having only one side of a coin and his sister having the good side. them going back and forth would have been more interesting instead of Jessica arguing with a corpse. Harvey being one side of the evil trying to take his sister the only good part in his life.
I kind of like the Cheshire Cat from Disney's Alice in Wonderland approach to Catwoman's design. The random leg belt and socks are kind of odd, but the whole outfit works, cat smile and fluff cuffs and all. Darn shame there aren't any more Earth One comics as this is a realistic hero approach that doesn't go as gritty or depraved as other realistic approaches while still being grounded in reality.

Great video series so far; I'm really growing to like your channel: great job here, no notes- one note... "batman gives him the thousand yard stare" you keep saying that phrase but i do not think it means what you think it does... A Thousand Yard Stare is a blank almost expressionless look a war veteran makes when they become lost in thought about the past it's usually tinged with sadness or regret, it's not a thing you give to someone, it's more a thing that takes a persons own personality in that moment.
I really like the idea of the batmobile being just a heavily modified, heavily customized version of a street car because the trained eye could make some educated guesses as to what the vehicle is supposed to be based off of, but it's modified enough to make it a completely different vehicle from the vehicle it's supposedly based off of. Case in point, Robert Pattinson's batman batmobile.
