Nice purchase brother, I loved my bm51,I sold it to get another balisong(BRS replicant) and I miss it. Every once in a while I stop by the Benchmade Store in Oregon City just to flip one again haha. Right now its the best entry level balisong money can buy. Also it's got that sebenza quality aesthetics. It's just an amazing knife. It's only downfall for flipping is at 3.4 ozs its just too lightweight at times. The pivots have to be well lubricated to prevent stalls and your technique has to be good or it will just bounce out of your hand. The lightweight of the knife did save my hands while learning. I could have lopped a finger off with my bm62. Enjoy Also, I love that elmax knockout, might be my next edc purchase. Looks like we have the same taste in knives.

SeibRazib1972 yes they do Benchmade customer service rules everything just said is true I would like to add caveat to the Benchmade 51 pocket clip is very difficult to replace it is mounted on the through pins through the frame with the 51 and the 32 it may be easier just to send them back to Benchmade they will do it for you

It will depending on what you cut stuff like food simple paper it will hold up for a long time let stuff like cardboard Hardwood harder materials will wear it down
It won't wear them quickly still takes a while but it will where the satin finish will hide use and where much better as well it's easier to correct any damage that may come however it is D2 in certain climates or conditions rust may be an issue the coating will protect against much of that

I think this is discontinued now. Been out of stock on Blade HQ, then the 32 Morpho showed up today on their Benchmade discontinued line sale. Got the 32 in time, hopefully Knife Center still has enough by the weekend for me to snatch one.

i bought this exact same balisong last summer, and use it almost every day to break down boxes. and it's a fantastic knife. my only problem was losing a screw. and i dont know where to get a new screw. any tips?

I finally made the decision to order my very first BM Balisong (BK51) since I've never owned a BM Balisong before (I do however own several other cheaper brands). I heard that BM does not apply Loctite on their Balisong to accommodate various preference that their customers might seek. So I was just curious on the duration of this model to see if I should just apply some right away when it arrives. I plan on playing with it for awhile until I get a feel on it before I start unscrewing it.
