I don't always buy balisongs. But when I do, I prefer very expensive ones that I make snobby videos about. Stay salty my friends. (Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video)
Unbelievable collection, Ive never seen anything like this. Thank you for sharing. I wish Benchmade would just bring back the 4x series, even if it were only for limited drops.
Your collection is VERY impressive! It's a shame you don't flip but I am glad that someone is keeping track of all of them and collecting pieces of history.
Genuinely fantastic collection. I couldn't bring myself to flip them but just admiring a collection like this should be enough for anyone with two brain cells. GREAT vid.
I love balisongs i only knew a few Benchmade models. This is very interesting seeing how they changed when time passes. I like to learn about new stuff when i get the chance! Great video!!
This is what butterfly knives are supposed to look like in my book. That classic silver skeletonized handle look is so menacing. Half of these boutique knives now days look like a fucking 20 dollar multi-tool. I'd be happy to get one of these one day to stand above my cheap ones
When i see Balisong knifes and lots and lots and another, lots of types on today's market,hi tech materials and then only think, what we have before 10+ years when i start with flipping and learning some hard combos with many Chinese and other bad, crappy, falling a part knifes and get lucky if we find only one so so "good" Bali and we are so happy..You guys don't have a clue how lucky you R
Nothing like showing a collection on youtube then sitting back and waiting for.....BOOOOOOM!!!!! Great collection and I hate balisongs. (shhh....dont tell anybody!).
The majority of these were widely available on eBay back in the early 2000s i remember collecting the low end balisongs like jaguars and bear and co for under $30. Benchmades were sold for about 150-200 new and used ones would go from $75-$200. I was just outta high school a kid working a part time job so I never wanted to spend more then $50 on a balisong. Most of my small paycheck went to the movies on the weekend and dining the high school sweetheart. Wish I picked up a few of these. Always wanted the 49 after seeing the movie face off. Also fact fact u could buy almost any model back in 2000-2003 on Asian knives.com and knifezilla I remember seeing them very cheap not even sure if those knife sites still exist
I was finally able to pick myself up a Benchmade balisong and honestly everything about it is so cool to me I'm glad I did. Not only use it made back in 1985 which means it's pre a Benchmade, Benchmade balisong, not only is it one of Benchmade very few Japanese made balisong, and not only did it Inspire the name butterfly knife, but the blade was hand-ground by the same man who made the swords for the Conan movies
Great collection! Appreciate you sharing I'm and betting your collection has grown since the making of this video . It would be nice to see any new blades you aquire .
Very impressive collection and i personally, never so collection like this one...beautiful...you are a lucky guy for sure!!You need a money and a time and a lots of luck to find and collect so many nice knifes and i envy you, specially cos i love very much Balis but have only some Chinese s#@t in my country...but what to do!!Love your collection and good luck for trucking more nice Balis and everything best ! ! !
Very impressive collection, thanks for sharing it. Minor correction: the 41 (and other 4x series) handles were both cast AND machined. You have to machine it after casting to get the flat smooth faces and accurate holes. If you didn't, the handle would have the rough texture that you see on the inside of the tang pin cups (not to mention that the tolerances would be abysmal). Also that bit about the mother of pearl cracking because of expansion isn't true. Mother of pearl is very commonly used as an inlay in wood (like in guitar fret boards) and wood expands and contracts far more than any metal due to absorbing and releasing humidity
Surprised I did not see a anodized 42A T latch in your collection I think they were a limited of 500 I had one stolen many years ago wish I still had it only recently did I get a great 42 I live close to th BM factory and have wandered in many times over the years seeing a few of these peices great collection by the way Amazing
Thanks. It does take a certain amount of luck, especially in the beginning. You need to have funds ready for knife drops, and those are hard to anticipate coming from private sellers. In the later stages you get to know people and finding rare pieces gets easier, though no less expensive.
Im gonna rob this guy's personal favorite balisong, go out the house, flip it while recording and put it back into the collection with a note saying "thanks dood"
Insane video great collection, your Bali’s are very nice and it would be great to see some individual videos going a bit more into depth about the anatomy an history of each blade, maybe start of with the three DM Bali’s.
Awesome collection man ! I have a benchmade balisong,I fucking love it,the design, sharpness and weight all are lit !! Just started a day ago,had to cover the blade with tape 😂😂 !!
I subscribed at 01:05 bro. You are a repository of Benchmade balisong data and do due diligence in preparation. How this video isn't at 50,000 views is a mystery. I'm going to benge watch your channel 😁!
Unlike some of the people in the comment section, I envy your collection of balisongs. I'm not going to complain or say that you sound like a snob and are showing off these knives to brag. I imagine you have a job which is how you are able to buy all these knives and that it took a while to get all of them. By the way great collection.
I'm sitting here, with my most expensive knife being my Bradley Kimura 7, I'm just like "He's touching those knives with his fingers????????? Fuck i'd be wearing 9 pairs of gloves so I get NO finger oil or anything on em..." #paranoid.. #knifescrub
Reality Reptiles what's the point of having something you're worried about touching. People wear out $200 knives and buy new ones all of the time. I guess collecting is different though.
To everyone saying get a job I say, try buying one of these without having a job or fixed income, then I will be impressed. No stealing now! Nice collection, regardless of all the crackpipes you peddled.
as a Benchmade collector all I can say is HOLY CRAP
YOUR SO RIGHT
he has real 42s i was like holy shit
Ike I NEVER WVEN KNEW THISNMANY EXISTED WHAT THW CRIXK HOWWW

You haven’t posted for a year, where are you man??
That moment when you realize he has about $62,000 in balisongs and you can't even afford one. I'm jealous.
One day i hope to make enough money to have the spending cash to afford even one of these lmao
The moment you realized your only a worker bee
jon lipton why hope? Get of your ass and work for it
I buy mine from wish for like 20 dollars xD
Same
Please do an update or just more of this PLEASE!

hi
Where are you dude?
no balisongs were flipped in the making of this video
Fr I was wondering this, if you have that many you have to be able to flip it a little bit
@Zak wouldn't doubt he has one for flipping at least
Lots of salt in these comments.
Very informative video, and great job with this collection.
I don't always buy balisongs. But when I do, I prefer very expensive ones that I make snobby videos about.

Every time you slid your finger across the blade I cringed a little.
this remains one of my all time favorite go to videos. seriously i watch this like once a month lol
When you’re trying to go to sleep?
@@chilldudeace that's what I use it for. His voice is calming
Great video, not only a chance to see some beautiful knives but also very informative. Thank you!
Genuinely fantastic collection. I couldn't bring myself to flip them but just admiring a collection like this should be enough for anyone with two brain cells. GREAT vid.
Holy crap man, thats a great collection! Do you have other Balisongs as well besides BM's? Would love to see them. You got my sub
+FlipZone Nope, nothing but BMs now. I might get back a Tach 3, as I was impressed with it. Or branch into customs
+Christopher Dugas Not really. I can do a few basic moves. Nothing fancy.
+1986mpv Whats the point of paying so much for them and not even learning to flip them?
They're pieces of Benchmade history, which is why I don't flip them. I have a CCC I practice my limited moveset with.
I love balisongs i only knew a few Benchmade models. This is very interesting seeing how they changed when time passes. I like to learn about new stuff when i get the chance! Great video!!
Damn! That's a very impressive Collection!
Stunning Collection and Knowledge! Loved the Video

Sir you have the best collection of balisongs I have ever seen and you should consider starting to flip them
What a fantastic collection! You have museum pieces. Those gold class blades are something else.

Thanks for sharing! Very impressive collection. Some really beautiful knives. Thumbs up!
I don’t care you don’t flip, you have a very cool collection and you have gave me a lot of information about pretty much every 4x knife.
Amazing collection, and great source of information!

Very impressive collection, and your BM knowledge is equally impressive. I must say the matched set of DM09s is something I have never seen before.
I would love a 4x with zen pins.
Great video and collection. I sold most of my Benchmades, but I do have a 42 military finish. Don't see too many of those.
That 43-401 is awesome
you have so much knowledge on benchmade...great video
Thank you for sharing! You have an amazing collection!
This was 8 years ago…..Bro could probably trade the collection in for a Lambo by now
awesome collection. my fav's are the 47's and that rare 48.

Future video: Man trades balisong collection for Porsche 911.
I love the fact that at the end he says "And that's it." Like it's a minuscule collection of common Balisongs.

i mean kimuras usually get discontinued so you actually have a special knife too :)

I was going to say that you can't take them with you, but then I realized you could have them put in the coffin. So.... yeah. Nice collection.

Nice collection!
Oh my Gosh u don't flip ur balisongs?????!!?!?!!!!!??? I mean with a collection like that
+Erin The Pira ^
He probably just flips the new non collectible benchmades or other balisongs
Jake Richards I know, its a figurative expression
Andrew Lee it's a good investment. These knives go up in value I think. He is smart.
Andrew Lee I probably would not flip them either I would get a production model and flip that and use it while looking at these beauties

Dang man, all these people are so jellous... nice collection btw :)

I love how he has all these special editons but doesn’t have a single regular 42 lol
Cause it’s not as rare as most of the other ones
Every hate comment is stupid, this guys collection is amazing
for a second I thought dr miller was telling me about an scp, not a video about balisongs.
awesome video
The benchmade model 49 always reminds me of face/off movie with Nicolas cage and John Travolta
Benchmade might contact u one day to do a historical video on their balisong history……wow
His voice makes me want to hurt him but this collection truly is a thing of beauty.
ME : "I wondered where all of those old Benchmade knives went..."
THIS DUDE: ...
Godliest benchmade 4x collection ever
