Yeah on sharpness, I just recently got a benchmade outlast and it nicked my finger, cut pretty deep into it. One of my friends also cut his hand with it by barley sliding it along his hand without realizing it.
Is it more or less expected for these to have some pretty bad blade rub? Got one today and the blade rubs pretty bad and tightening the pivots anymore make it so it can't be flipped

I believe there's verision of the 51 with a trainer blade. This is essentially for guys to play around with and not use it for it's intended purpose. An Asian fighting knife ...usually carried and used by thugs...in SEA (vietnam, Indonesia, Vietnam...). I'd get the versio with the trainer blade first or at the same time. Spend enough time witht he traier bladed version first...
