    ...mmm, all edgings must be on a stud you say, well that didn't happen in this demo, also overlapping metal clips cant be good for the tiler. Seems like the cameraman was on the clock and the pro didn't turn in that morning.

    On Wickes site is says waterproof but the datasheet say water resistant. Surprised Wickes still has that with the amount of claims people could make to Wickes over that issue.

    I installed this product on my kitchen floor on top of my tiles, one of the tiles got damaged and had to be replaced however the backer-board is wet and won't dry out since removing the tile nearly two months ago?

    Should you leave a 3mm gap in between boards and around edges?

    • @stslimited9160
      @stslimited9160  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello Anthony. There is no need to leave a gap between the boards. They go tight together with a bead of MegaStrength adhesive in the joint to bond them together. Trust that helps, please email technical@sts-uk.com or call 0113 2022010 opt. 2 for more advice and help.

    Hi, Do you need to tape the joints before tiling?

    • @stslimited9160
      @stslimited9160  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello Jake,
      Thanks for your comment. No you don’t actually need to tape the joint, providing you use the MegaStrength adhesive on the joints to seal them together. This is normally a fast process than tape and ensure the boards are adhered together so form a better surface on which to tile.

    So can you use these boards as a temporary flooring before tiling or do they need tiling straight away?

    • @stslimited9160
      @stslimited9160  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your question. Whilst you can use this as a temporary floor service it is foam filled so you may dent it if left down for too long before tiling. If you are overboarding a timber floor we would recommend using our 6mm PrePrimed NoMorePly®. You can see more about this on: nomoreply.co.uk/6mm-preprimed-tile-backing-boards/.

      @@stslimited9160 ok so in a shower area if this is used on the walls with the mega adhesive and all gaps filled technically you could shower in there before it's tiled?
