    Great stuff. I like the use of the small bracing as you go along instead of struggling to get it under a long temporary brace flapping in the wind. I guess you just cut all those to 645 mm ish if it’s 600 centres and have them flush with the outside of each truss as you go along?👌👌

    • @ashleydavenport3794
      @ashleydavenport3794  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes mates that’s the one, trusses are mostly 35 mm so cut the pads at 635 to keep them nice and parallel! Cheers for your comment 👌💪

    Hi Mate. Just came across your channel recently and some great content. What camera and settings do you use for the time lapse? Looks mint 👌
    Do you ever put the truss clips on the wall plate before installing the trusses?

    • @ashleydavenport3794
      @ashleydavenport3794  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks pal! Glad you like the videos 👌 I’m just using a GoPro at the min. Think it’s the hero9. No mate we don’t fit the clips first but it’s not a bad idea 👌 can slot the trusses straight into the right place then 💪👌

    Don't you use a string liner to keep the trusses straight? Or do you just stand them and temporary brace them and run a straight edge across them?

    • @ashleydavenport3794
      @ashleydavenport3794  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i check the brick work before i start is pretty bang on, then measure each tail end off that, then check over it with a level after. i dont think you can trust the tails have been cut perfectly in the factory so i just use that as a guide to check roof isnt running out. cheers for your comment

    Hi mate. Just after your opinion on something.... When lifting a pair of semis or a 3 block that have spandrel panels for the party wall how do you go about lifting them and bracing them? Do you lift all of the trusses and support them at one end and then spread them from the other end lifting the spandrels as you need them or lift and brace spandrel first and work from that? Cheers

    • @ashleydavenport3794
      @ashleydavenport3794  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @dennykavanagh2785

      @@dennykavanagh2785 yeah man I lie them down then just lift as we go. Used to put the hole pack against the table lift but health and saftey now say we arnt allowed to rest them against the scaffold! 👎🤣.

      @hn9598 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Looks a lot safer than when we used to do it before we even had safety nets.
      We used to remove the handrails and hand ball them up.
      That was a nightmare job in itself.
      Glad to see things are better in that respect.
      We also used to put whole packs lent against the scaffold after standing on the handrails to extend the tubes😂

    • @ashleydavenport3794
      @ashleydavenport3794  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hn9598 yeah it’s defo getting easier and safer which is good all round!! Garage roofs are the only exception, we still take the handrail down on them and lift the trusses by hand but there’s only 6 so isn’t too bad! Haha

      @@tubbycarpenter9847 if you get that first truss nice and plumb and secured of the scaff, then copy what marks you have on your wall plate on to the temp bracing (holding the trusses together as we stand them) then in theory everything should be level as you come accross 👌 hope that makes sense and helps 👍
