- Here we are! The War that started them all! The fourth Heat of the first ever War. Jeremy Clarkson presents, Johnathon Pearce commentates and Philippa Forrester interviews the teams. The six combatants are Cunning Plan, Demolisher. Sat'Arn, Bugs, Krazee Tokyo and Vector of Armagedon
LET THE WARS BEGIN!

C'mon guys, I'm pretty sure Demolisher would have done well in the grand final, you know an RC Car with a metal shell vs:
Recyclopse - Flipper
Roadblock - Saw
Robot The Bruce - Strength
TRACIE - Spikes
Bodyhammer - Axe
Yeah, they surely would've had an amazing chance.
To summarise this heat, I'd say the Stock Car race was the real highlight for me. The Arena battles didn't quite live up to expectations, particularly with featherweight robots. Bugs wasn't much of a contender and simply committed suicide. Sat'arn was really unlucky to have broken down despite a strong start, but on the bright side Demolisher did prove Matilda wrong with her chainsaw. In the final it was inevitable Cunning Plan was going to flip Demolisher instantly and making the final anti-climactic, at least Oliver Steeples apologized. I would love to have seen Cunning Plan and Vector of Armageddon take on each other.
4:14 - Proof why chainsaw weapons hardly caught on in later wars.
+Joseph Ilsley what looks like wood? hot knife through butter. any sort of metal ever? no chance
If you put a metal shell on an RC car, you're gonna get owned sooner or later.
Poor demolisher, never really stood a chance when it was that easily flipped.
Though it is kind of amazing that it's body was tough enough that it stopped Matilda's chainsaw in it's tracks XD
give me a battle like HypnoDisc vs Demolisher
the cunning plan guy builds the robots for star wars now.
What a legend!
Silly Bugs committing suicide! Shame Sat'Arn broke down cause it could've pushed The Demolisher over, was that the shortest heat final in the show's 7 series run? 11 seconds! I can see why Oliver wanted another opponent in the final, 10 year old Sam should've been very proud of himself even if he was sad at losing, god he is aged 28 or 29 now! Philippa's facial expression at the end, she was absolutely gutted for him!
yeah Sam was the crowd favourite hence why Oliver apologised at the end but it The Demolisher's speed and the fact that it was so easily flippable that was its downfall
0:10 guess who's never talked to a woman in his life
+ha!ek2099 Ask stupid questions, get stupid answers
+ha!ek2099 I'm sure he has since working of The Force Awakens creating R2 :)
Because let's face it, the featherweights had so much of a chance against 70 KG + robots in the grand final...
Is it just me, or was there absolutely NOTHING Demolisher could have done against Cunning Plan?? lol
Adam Harper always looks so freshly divorced...
Great effort by the ten year old in the final there.
It’s weird seeing bots that can’t flip- themselves over!
lol sgt bash
Bash: *pokes Demolisher* Is it dead?
Well, that was a contender for the fastest battle in Robot Wars. Doesn't quite beat Gravity vs. Dantomkia, Dontomkia vs. IG-88, or Griffon vs. Cerberus, but it can maybe place after that.
How can they even be upset when such an obviously crap robot didn't win the finals V_V
@metallyrics411 the grill was low in the ground meaning that the robots would get stuck on the edge. and if the weels were small they go though the grill and not move :P
Wasn't the guy who built cunning plan's next robot a clone of us heavyweight biohazard?
Demolisher should've had a self right mechanism
No one had those back then :P
Does anyone notice that Sat'arn's front end features throughout its three rounds look a little different compared to its introduction clips in the arena and the pits? For instance Sat'arn's large ramming horns fitted on the sides are later replaced with smaller ones on the front. Also the modelled smoking snout, laser-eye and eye-patch for the bull's face seemed to have been changed for a plain painted one. Why was that?
Seeing the First Wars for the first time, I can see why Craig Charles replaced Jeremy Clarkson. Clarkson had some moments, but he seemed overall bored of this entire idea from the getgo.
Oliver Steeples is the Greg Popovich of Robot Wars
Terrence Yon and the reverse Mark Thorpe
@panickattack100 this was series 1... they didn't know what they were doing yet.
Poor red kettle
Does anyone else think Oliver Steeples looks a bit like Dean Tavalouris from The League of Gentlemen?
This is why you need a scrimech!
Rex Garrod hadn't invented them yet.
*Facetiously* I'm sorry everyone!
House robots are killing these fights... 4:05 wtf
Jeremy keeps scratching his nose... Obviously takin too many Oxys
Featherweights are good for trials, but crap in battle. Why did they think this was a good idea?
+ArcaneAzmadi Because featherweights are still one of the most successful and active classes of combat robots in the UK today, that's why. So it was a good idea. The bad idea was trying to mix them with Heavyweights, but I'm guessing they didn't really have a choice.
They didn't have enough heavyweights so they had to use feathers. Don't worry though, in the modern day featherweights are great.
Phillipa used to be so thin, then in Series 4 she was pregnant and barely appeared, then she had baby-weight that she still has today. Jayne Middlemiss was a rubbish presenter IMO.
Texodus i still wouldnt say no
