- The second war smashed onto our screens bigger and better than before! The introduction of the new house robot Sir Killalot brought shock and awe to the wars. New presenter Craig Charles presents, Johnathon Pearce commentates and Philippa Forrester interviews the teams. The six combatants are Mortis, Oblivion, Dreadnaut, Rameses II, Challenger an Griffon.
LET THE SECOND WARS BEGIN!

Dreadnought was a really, really good looking robot. Shit at fighting but absolutely gorgeous bodywork. Love it.
Matilda, cease when you're told to! She is a naughty House Robot.
@MrFo3hawk Dude, the lifting arm flipped Sgt. Bash over, it's pretty powerful. And he was triggering it at nothing 'cause it's hard to control a robot with things like signal delay, pressure and perhaps frustration.
And that 'it's classified' was just character.
They forgot to mention that the Griffin team was the Cunning Plan team which made it to the Grand Final in series one.
@themightydwarf The televised runs were edited versions of the full runs to look interesting, same as the arena matches were.
the problem with the old format with the gauntlet is that a great robot like griffon doesn't get a chance to show it's quality, it was not ideal for an obstical course but it would have done very well in the fighting
Come on, did the Griffon's driver really have to choose the route with house robots and drive into walls? Such a disappointment.
"Described as a slow moving cheese sandwich". I don't understand why these flashbacks never show or mention Jeremy Clarkson. Like in the grudge match with Cassius and Mortis, the flashback shows JP saying "I can't believe this- they've gone for Recyclopse!" instead of Jezza announcing the decision. I know he looked pretty bored half the time he was on the show, but did he forbide the producers from even mentioning him again? He wasn't even on that "making-off" feature about the first wars.
@kingdaozz I once had a video of the US robot wars. Biohazard was heavyweight champion in either 95 or 96, not sure which. 96 I think. Robot wars uk series 2 was 1998.
WOW, Griffin's like a little Biohazard from "Battlebots".
That's the problem with the gauntlet idea
@MultiBattleaxe That wasn't a criticism - it was a good robot to copy, in theory. I'm sure it would have done well in battles.
There were other examples - Gravedigger was almost exactly like Cassius, and Evil Weevil was basically a primative version of Panic Attack (because of the team connections).
Dreadnought was in healthy top form in series 2 after a broken performance in series 1, LOL at Rameses II getting flipped high by the jumping spike, Griffon was such a letdown after Oliver's breakthrough with Cunning Plan yesteryear. Challenger wasn't a really good competitor so it was bound to fail in the trial. Mortis was on Matilda's tusks the whole time xD
When Dreadnought says they're hoping for "better performance" from the new motors this time, do they mean "not constantly burning out on their own"? Because that's what happened last time. Mind you, it was HILARIOUS watching them charge the brick wall, only for the prongs to impact perfectly on a single brick and knock it clean out of the wall without affecting the rest of it- like they were playing Jenga.
Is it just me, or does Griffon look like an early version of Storm 2?
Kinda does yeah
Lmao the Griffon guy was so cocky but he absolutely failed
Oblivion's flipping over and inability to drive properly is very lampshade-hanging for Supernova's performance in S7, I think...
They measured Mortis' distance wrong, he got way more than he should have
Griffon is basically a copy of Biohazard.
@kingdaozz Biohazard was definitely fighting before series 2 of UK robot wars.
@MasterofMayhem1394 yeah, it just seemed kinda outa place when everyone else is spilling their secrets.
and it wasn't that it was weak
it's just that it was too slow to be an effective weapon in this competition.
robot ears standby
4:00 - The guy on the left barely moves, it's quite unsettling.
Rameses 5m and Dreadnaut just 5.4m being in the middle of arena? WTF
@themightydwarf I would've thought that's just editing
Griffon looks kinda like storm2
I was hoping for Griffon to go. That flipping device was terrible not to mention the body didn't look that great and it was slow.
If anyone has seen League of gentlemen, doesn't Oliver Steeples look like Ollie from Legz Akimbo?
Thumbs up if you agree!
anyone else find it ironic the robot they joust for the 'fair mechanical maiden' is the one 'female' house robot?
Did they seriously call scarab a slow moving cheese sandwich???
yep
There is something not ok with u if u choose route with 3x houserobot XD
LOL I used to think that was literley what he said:\
Then I guess you haven't seen Storm II from series 7.
Oliver, the driver of Griffon seemed like a nice guy in the first series, then he comes back as a douchebag in series and gets owned. Karma.
Chaos could of pushed Matilda of
Ahahaha, the Driver of Griffon was being such a douche when he was all "it's classified"
Serves him right to get fcked, that lifting arm sucked xD
AND HE KEPT TRIGGERING IT AT NOTHING.
lol
I don't understand why the show has to have obsticle courses when we can just see battles through the entire episode i mean i wanted to see how Griffon would've done in a fight not counting house robots
Anyone else notice that in the gauntlet, they gave robots like Mortis and Dreadnaut much longer runs (at least in timing concerns) than others like Griffon? Clearly playing favorites, f***ing Mentorn.
too bad shes a robot then...
JP: who wants a picture of Matilda's backside
LMAO XD idk about me about me XD but i wouldent mind XD anyone else?
griffon, aka biohazard copy
