- The second war smashed onto our screens bigger and better than before! The introduction of the new house robot Sir Killalot brought shock and awe to the wars. New presenter Craig Charles presents, Johnathon Pearce commentates and Philippa Forrester interviews the teams. The six combatants are Mace, Chaos, Leighviathan, Wheelosaurus, Tantrum and Death Trak..
LET THE SECOND WARS BEGIN!
BBC 1998 All Rights Reserved.
And here we have the appearance of Chaos, the less-successful older brother of two-time champion Chaos 2!
And the forgotton nephew of series 1 grand finalist Robot the Bruce!
One of the highlights of one of the robots was 'Cost over £500 to make.' Then in the current season there's been a couple worth over £25,000. Hilarious
Rex Garrod’s Repsyclopse was like 100 £ in series 1 IIRC.
Apparaently when Wheelosaurus knocked Sgt Bash's gas container off, the whole building had to be evacuated.
Mace had an ace debut, Wheelosaurus is so lush! "Who would've thought... Victorian pram wheels could disable Sgt Bash!" That's the magic of RW Jonathan, thank god Leighviathan got prepared just in time for their gauntlet run only to be picked up and tossed over by Sir Killalot :P
Sir Killalot isn't evil, he's just misunderstood.
Its true, but you wont find Razor giving him any mercy ;)
Razor is a beast (if you've seen him)
"So, should i watch this heat? Let's look at the list of participants." *sees Chaos* "Alrighty, watching."
TheStrongestBaka Not Chaos2 yet, sadly
+MarkOfTzeentch razer are better than robot the Bruce, chaos and even chaos2
Razer might have been better but, 1. George Francis was the best driver on the show and 2. Team Chaos didn’t have the money to keep really improving Chaos 2 as the show went on.
Mace and Chaos! This is gonna be GREAT!
I see they already replaced the brick wall from the first week with stacked barrels less likely to get caught under robots. Clearly they're learning as they go. That said, the Gauntlet is still a crappy event- you will almost ALWAYS find yourself struggling to get past 2 house robots at once in barely enough space to swing a cat.
Death Trak's driving was terrible.
If Killalot is supposed to patrol the left side route (or right side from the drivers' perspective) why does he always IMMEDIATELY come out and charge around to fuck up any robot going up the middle route from behind? As if having to deal with both Bash and Dead Metal at the same time once you cross the bridge isn't hard enough!
+ArcaneAzmadi Yeah, as cool as the house bots are, they really wreak the balance.
That's why Refbot was introduced shortly after it became a full on Arena Battle competition.
Craig Charles and Toasters.... There's a joke in there somewhere
NO TOAST!
Illusive Prime What about a crumpet?
+Helix Mantis no buns baggets or bagles :P
so you're a waffle kind of guy?
liftlash98 How about a muffin?
Wheelosaurus- an early form of stinger
An interesting lineup of robots!
Some pretty good/interesting lookng robots this episode. Personally, i loved the look of Mace & Chaos.
I miss this show!
Oh, we do love you Peter Gibson!
ouch that was such a blow for the laviathan team
Chaos, the precursor to the chaotic, destructive Chaos II, my favorite after Razer
Leighbot is Back into Leightviathan
this tantrum is different than battlebots one
wheelosaurus looks fuckin awesome
Wheelosaurus had RKO'd Sgt. Bash.
@DannyV1991 looks like it to me lol only whelllosaurs was the only one to disable Sgt Bash n rip off his flamethrower
I wonder how Death Trak would have done if it made it past the gauntlet.
Wheelosaurus bashed Bash!!! XD
Mace...the predecessor of Gemini...
Yeah, at 4:46 those Victorian Prom Wheels are really good when you're trying to move over small objects
but he's not as cool as "Psychosprout"...
@Headbanger142 i think red dwarf taught us that XD well spotted :P
@DannyV1991 Both are different machines.
@taaffew yeah I noticed the lag
I did say could meaning if he did.
Good see they ousted those BS bricks from heat A
Ah, the days of Robot Wars when 6 mph was considered fast...
@robotwarsfan03
Me thinks they were trying to get a better angle to move forwards from, but their awkward 3 wheel design (with the third wheel raised and in the back... really?) made control extremely difficult so they weren't able to actually get moving forwards again.
Yea but this was aired in the late 1990's so its not the surprising in the days of the VHS and phones the size of a brick.
@Headbanger142 Or maybe a toasted teacake.
There's a little bit of lag on this video.
I have one question I've been dying to ask for ages......why did Death Trak go backwards? That would've been the last thing on my mind in the gauntlet, and as aresult, they lost by 30cm!
It's unfair that wheelasaurus didn't get credit for finishing. The only reason it didn't finish is because it did so much BETTER than the other bots that it actually managed to damage a house robot, and the referees halted the run because of the danger that caused. It didn't finish because they didn't ALLOW it to.
@Headbanger142 would you like a cheese and ham breville?
wonder who owns Death Trak now?
OR HOT CROS BUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He thinks this is an official BBC-ran channel, I think.
Or a smegging Flapjack? XD
@BBCRobotwarsUK Bring it back please, by the way, two questions. One: What has happened to the house rodots? Two: Could you post a video that showed SHOVE the only house robot to NOT be shown or get a mention, please?
Mace - 115 Kgs lift? Pfft!
Shouldn't have stolen it... Ooooo, I went there, poor taste liverpool joke.
aww bad lip sync isuses should ask dave for there coppy (:
