Yes, it's that time in every watch reviewers life, when they go through their awkward Invicta stage. Luckily, I have got the 1953 in for review, one of the few Invicta's liked by almost everyone, even the god of reviewers himself, Jody from Just One More Watch!
But, do I rate this Invicta? Bad what exactly, if any, are it's flaws? Well, it ain't perfect, let me tell you that!

The very first watch I purchased that got me into watch collecting and high horology was the Invicta 9937 with the Sellita SW200 movement. Watch snobs will never admit it but Invicta does make"SOME' good watches.. OK! I'll admit that it is a Rolex "Homage" but unlike other watch makers they don't lie about it. Check out the 9937 and you'll be surpised.
Invicta money for a Sellita! That would be a good deal at the right price
@@TheWatchtowerWatchReviews Yes , this was 3 years ago and at the time it was $150 USD, Solid endlinks,milled clasp and a Flame fusion crystal whatever that is ? but it's a solid watch. Its the watch that see's the most wrist time as opposed to my ridiculously high end overpriced watches. Lol Cheers ! Love your channel big guy.
9937 is my watch. Awesome piece. No regret at all.

A diver will never use his watch to determine air reserve. So yes, this watch can absolutely be used to dive with.

It could well do, I don't mind the Magneto cage, but the leather probably looks a little nicer as a display. Although, in bright yellow, it's not exactly subtle 😅
As a brand I'm not a fan, they do have a loyal following....apart from the odd nugget like the 53 I find most of there catalogue to be a bit OTT for me and I can wear a big watch no bother....a very fair and enjoyable review my friend, it's simple and a good choice as a daily....as far as the movement is concerned I am definitely a fan, never had a bad one yet and when I've checked against an app I've been pleasantly surprised....I have a cadisen that I will never wear that was running +1 a day, considering the price of the watch it blew my mind....🏴⌚🏴⌚

I was all already to buy one until I saw your video. Now I'm not sure. I wonder if you could swap out that crystal for a domed one.
It could be tough, due to the shape. You may find them on Ali, but not sure.
You say it would be better with a sapphire crystal but the original Rolex submariner used an acrylic crystal which is a step down from this invicta!
Yes, but the model T is worth more than a new Focus, and I know which one I'd rather have from purely usability!
I have two Invictas with SAPHIRE Crystals and three with Sellita Movements!

a Vostok no date is a good alternative for those who can't stomach Invicta. Think if they ever did another homage with sapphire we will have another hype beast on our hands.
