As humans we crave purpose, in everything. Having a reason is enough, but if you don’t remind yourself the reason you do anything, you won’t do anything.

that actually makes so much sense, sometimes I slack off because I plan to work hard at the gym, but if I'm there without planning, I enjoy it and do twice as good

There’s 3 versions of yourself, past version, present version, and future version. You only control your present version, meaning you mold what you’ll become and you’re fully in control of that outcome, help your future self out so you can look at your past self with a smile.
Remove distractions, that can help you enjoy a workout, knowing that when you’re done, you can go and do what you wanted to do instead of what you needed to do.
Motivation isn’t necessary, but discipline is, however, motivation always helps.

I don’t belong to any gym. But I have an awesome treadmill and lots of free weights. I wake up every morning wondering what kind of workout I’m in the mood for. That helps me versus trying to plan ahead a few days. I just can’t do that.

That's so true but if you don't have a plan you will just do random workouts so at the end the plan is necessary

Im gonna try this. I was once kind of in shape, being able to do 10 good form pushups and then I feel down to 1. Ever since then, I basically quit and fell into a downwards spiral. Gonna try this, hopefully I can get past 10 in like a year or smth lol

Whenever you are doing something at home and have spare minute or two just get on the floor and do some push ups
    Also you can stretch meanwhile

Bro it's just crazy that i see this video today. In the morning today, I was thinking... Oh god things on my planner are so boring to do now, why wouldn't I do now things that I would love to do at this moment how long I want to do them. Only important thing is, don't do things with 0 value for achieving your goals. This idea made me do much more in a day cause time blocking actually limit us, If we got everything planned we will do whole day things while we are tired, bored, unproductive. But when we do every activity inspired and in the flow state, that's changing everything. We will not feel motivated to workout most of the time, but we will feel motivated to do some other activity, so do that and when you feel like you could workout do that, you will actually achieve more in a week or mounth, maybe not in a day. We shouldn't look at days, we should have a wider image, on a long run there is a huge progress.

See he is just explaining that if u want a six pack if u are slightly overweight then u have to understand that u fr gonna atleast need 8 to 12 months to get sexy six pack . But that actually makes u feel demotivated coz uk the progress is slow and u want more and more pregrss in less time which isn't possible and thus we need to break that process in to small part and enjoy working out . For example today it's my bicep . Just go today with the aim:- yeah boi am gonna lift some weights and feel them muscles though I can't see them but yeah i am gonna feel that workout with a proud smile . This is enjoying your workout. And the ans of ur question is that if u don't have a goal like loosing weight or making any prefered physique u can just go and workout whichever workout u want and enjoy randomness . But if u someday don't feel like working out or get bored due to ur routine it's ok to sometimes jsut enter gym and be a child and choose any workout in random just like u use to choose any slide any ride in a park . So in short enjoy very small bits of process make it your lifestyle to smile and workout.

Ah to be you your 20's and show up at the gym without a plan and look....like you're in your 20's. For those of us with busy life, jobs, family you absolutely MUST utilize your time with a solid routine or else you will back slide and lose motivation and consistency.
