Hürrem blames Suleiman embittering the fight between Selim and Bayezid. As Bayezid chases up the ones who has set a trap for him, Selim gets worried that he'll get disclosed. Suleiman confiscates Mahidevran's wealth because she has supported the revolt. Hürrem brings Selim to account after she learns that he has set the trap for Bayezid. Meanwhile, Fatma plays Nurbanu and Huricihan off against each other and turns the harem upside down. Suleiman orders that Kara Ahmed will be executed since he has taken up the revolt. Someone witnesses Gazanfer's love for Nurbanu that causes to be shed blood. Hürrem takes a vow to not to choose between his sons and chooses her nominee for throne.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Sulleiman warned him many times to stop crossing the line- watch episode 100, but Musfafa still continued being rebbbell. So he got his end! Get over it!
"No one is innocent", finally someone called it out loud. I know, the character of Hurrem here, is not at all angelic nor she acts as one self-righteous person. But the rest of them did the same things too. Tortured innocent people, killed them or made them kill someone else.But they act as they are Holier-than-thou, pure as snow. They just can not take Hurrem because she played their politics better than them.

Fatma herself is very cruel. She was more interested in killing her nephews than killing Hurrem. She tried to kill her nephews just to see Hurrem in pain. And also in the end, she is shamelessly wishing for the death of her nephews.
Fake love. All the sisters (except Beyhan) they only love Mustafa while the other prince are just subtitutes. Even she did not want to held responsible for Hurricihan as she was the one who conspire with her niece's murderer. I hope Beyhan will punish her for the negligence.

The show never really touched on it, but, yeah, this is a big part of why I always found the insistence of Suleiman's sisters for Mustafa to ascend so chilling. Barely any of them, outside of Fatma, acknowledged that, in order for that to happen, their other nephews would have to die.

I don't understand how all of Suleiman's sisters made Hurrem out to be this completely evil person when they were genuinely no better than her. They were willing to do literally anything to take her down. Hurrem isn't perfect, nor did she claim to be, but she didn't deserve the constant attacks from Hatice, Şah, and Fatma.
She’s only trying to save the lives of her sons. They are trying to get their own flesh and blood killed. They are depraved.

I love that Suleiman knows that Hurrem is not an angel nor innocent in many ways and that he is telling his sister Fatma that he doesn’t expect anyone to be perfect but he does expect loyalty. He isn’t perfect either but I love how he acknowledges that while Hurrem’s absolute loyalty to him is mostly self-serving, Hurrem is loyal. Hurrem is smart, she knows absolute loyalty to Suleiman is what will keep her and her children safe as long as they aren’t stupid.
In my opinion in this love that Hürrem for him and their children remember his mother Valide Hafsa Sultan. She was as Hürrem: she did everything for her children

Hurrem loved power, not suleyman. From the very begginig in the harem, she swore to her dead mother she would became the most powerful woman in the world. She wanted to have only sons, when she had mihrima she hated her at first. She carries around a vial of poison because she cares about living with him, not about praying for his downfall for one her son's to succeed him like Mahidevran did. Fatma's smile was fake in the end . She was just smiling artificially in front of Gulfem to show herself Satisfied.
This was the best and only good scene of Fatma the fact that she admitted everything she did knowing full well that Suleiman would have probably executed her deserves respect, Hafsa, Hatice and Sha were cowards that always hided their evil deeds, the only problem was that once again she blames Hurrem 🙄🙄 like did she forget that Mustafa send her here to sabotage Hurrem or that she manipulated Bayezid and Selim against each other knowing full well they would have probably killed each other ( her own blood)

I never liked Rustem, although I wonder did things really play out like this in their true lives? I wouldn’t think Hurrem had this much drama in her actual lifetime. With Mustafa was he really going against Suleiman or was it just rumors and that’s why Suleiman regretted killing his son? Although from what I read Suleiman actually watched and egged on the executioners.

She went crazy when Hurrem was pregnant with Mehmet and didn't want a prince other than Mustafa to be born so she poisoned her and it was sheer luck that Sulieman was with her AND hadn't eaten the poison himself so he was able to call the doctor.
Of course, Hurrem almost did the same thing, but she stopped when she saw gow much Sulieman wanted the child. To her his happiness was worth the rick of having another prince that wasn't hers

Ibrahim was arrogant enough to declare to people behind Sulieman's back that he was the real ruler of the Empire. Sulieman put up with it for a long time before he decided enough was enough.
Hatice committed suicide because she couldn't deal with not being the darling apple in her brothers eyes anymore. She also knew that once she was found to be the one responsible for Hurrem being kidnapped, she'd be killed anyway. She wasn't going to give Sulieman the chance to be the one to do that.
Mustafa may not have committed real treason, but he was still a loose cannon. He knew people were plotting to overthrow his father but did nothing to stop them. That makes him an accomplice of treason at the bare minimum. Not to mention he kept doing things behind his father's back, and when caught couldn't understand why his father was mad at him.
As for Cihangir, he only died because he had a rather weird love complex for his brother. And when he died, Cihangir essentially let himself rot away because of guilt. Mustafa's death was not his fault, but he decided to take up the guilt anyway. If anything, Fatma should be blamed for Cihangir's death since she got him involved in the first place.

I LOVE how all the enemies of Hurrem who were truly evil, called Hurrem devil and witch, only because they couldn’t reach the level of her intelligence and she defeated them all. HISTORY COMMENT (for those interested): All the murderous plots against Hurrem by Suleyman's sisters in seasons 3 and 4 are fiction. The real Hurrem Sultan had cordial relationships with Suleyman's mother and all his sisters in real life. The changes in these sisterly relationships from friendly and helpful (especially Hatice-Hurrem) from the first 2 seasons to hateful and murderous in the last seasons are from the tragic loss of Meral Okay, who died of cancer in April 2012. She was the award-winning creator/developer of this series and wrote episodes 1-56. Then, a male writer, Yilmaz Sahin, took over in seasons 3 and 4 and used these hateful plots between the women that bordered on misogymy. Personally, I found I missed the friendship between Hurrem and Hatice a lot. In real life, they were friends and Hatice's daughter is buried in Hurrem's mausoleum, a sign of collegial family relations. Remember that Ibrahim was *not married* to Suleyman’s sister, Hatice, in real life. They had no romantic relationship at all. Ibrahim was not Suleyman’s brother-in-law and all the children born to Hatice in this TV fictionalized relationship are fiction as well. Therefore, Hatice (or any of Suleyman’s sisters) had no reason whatsoever to hate Hurrem because of Ibrahim’s execution ordered by Suleyman in March 1536.
I have heard that all of the sisters of Suleiman hated Hürrem ín real too. Because they were borned sultanas. Hürrem was only a slave. But She reached higher positions with help of the real love Than them. The borned sultanas were wifes of pashas. Not a king. They were ín real only princess and Hürrem was a queen. Fatma's relationship with Hürrem was intense, she was involved in intrigues, was loved by janissaries and according to some versions she had hands in removing Rüstem from the position of grand Vizier and installing her husband instead, which enraged Hürrem and Mihrimah and had Ahmed pasha killed, Fatma started intriguing against Hürrem and she was banished from capital.
Beyhan had a very neutral attitude, her husband was executed earlier in Süleiman's reign and she spent the rest of her life in voluntary exile.
Sah had the closest relationship with Hürrem, they shared political and social views and did a lot of charity together.
Only her relationship with Fatma was done more or less(mostly less) correctly in the series.

If she wanted the throne, she would have tried to do it when Sah set that trap for her back in Episode 85 or 86. When Sah secretly had word sent that the Sultan was injured and that Mustafa was coming to claim the throne, she expected Hurrem to put Bayezid on the throne in response. But Hurrem's instinct was to protect her sons instead of trying to elevate one of them to the throne. Hurrem had a lot of faults, but her love for the Sultan was absolute..even more than her love for her children.
Mustafa always did things without Suleiman's permission .This made him distrustful and suspicious for Suleiman. and They did not understand that this war was not about power but about intelligence.
This is a big part of why, even in the show, I don't subscribe to the image of Mustafa the "martyr".

There is no consciousness at all in them. They forget who changed Alexandra La Rossa from a cheerful girl to heartless and cruelness
Overall Hürrem owns her own misdeeds in a way that her enemies more often than not outright refuse to do. Each always insists on innocence, that they would never have to act if not for the "witch", whereas Hürrem faces exactly what she did each time.

Fatma said like the throne is not big deal at all. Throne is symbol of power and stability. If monarch just gave up their throne easily, the throne lost its prestige and people who has some power will do anything whatever they want. In Ottoman histiory, it's happened after the reign of Mustafa I. After Mustafa I dethroned, the throne lost its authority. Jannissaries deposed and even killed sultan whatever they want. State lost its stability and ordinary people suffered.

Here is the thing pretty much everyone hated Hurrem because they thought she was a grasper and social climber they could not see what her husband saw that she really liked him and he knew it , so in between a woman who loved him and an army of backstabbing relatives he chose her side , he didn’t choose her side because she was evil , she chose her because despite being evil ( or at the very least ruthless and cunning) she was always loyal to her husband.
I agree, I think Sultan Suleiman always knew Hurrem did what she had to do to protect herself and her children. She wasn't evil nor did she start problems. She was spunky, marched to the beat of her own drum and was free to be who she wanted to be. She didn't let Valide, hatice, Mahidevran, Ibrahim, Mustafa, Sah and Fatma change who she was. Nor did she shy away from a fight. Sulieman knew she had a big heart and that she was truly a good person.

Fatma can be one of the most annoying characters in MC but man, that was something. Talking this way to a Padishah needs an extraordinary courage. None from his family dared to challenge his anger to that extent, she was the first. He could kill her in a blink but she still spoke her mind without compromise.
I think the only reason she spoke so freely was because she was past the point of caring about her own life. Her husband was just executed, she's still reeling from Mustafa's execution, Cihangir and I think Hurichan also just died around this point. She's lost so many people she loved in such a short time, and the people she thinks are responsible are roaming freely. At this point, she's had enough of the bulls*it that's going on she decided to say 'screw it' and call things out for what they were.
I think the one thing I could never understand about Fatma though was that she knew what would happen to Hurrems kids if Mustafa took the throne but she didn’t care. Had it been Selim instead of Mustafa that was killed Fatma probably would have celebrated.

Honestly I find them stupid. Why would Suleiman keep alive those who threatened his throne and life? Do they really think that by resigning from the throne Suleiman would have a peaceful life?
