Old, roughed up wheel covers? Hubcaps looking like crap? Scratches and curb rash?
I have an easy, cheap solution to help you freshen up those old wheel covers that anyone can do at home. All you will need is some sand paper and a can of spray paint. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Nice job - thank you
Thanks!
Great Job 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
I'm still stuck on the "hasn't been washed in 5 or 6 years" part! 😅
Hehe. What can I say? She was tired looking, but she was a great car.
You could've masked off the Honda logo, and have it in red after the paint job, and might look a tad better.
The H is actually supposed to be black. I had painted those red way back when I was sprucing it up for my daughter. Your right, though. Some color would have made it pop a tad more.
What grit sandpaper did you use?
I believe it was 220. I think I mentioned the grit in the video.
How'd the paint job hold up? Did it withstand the test of time?
Looked decent for about three months. Would have to wax it every two months or so to keep it looking like the end product in the video.
@@ktecgarage I have a 2006 Honda Civic and the paint is pealing off all my rims. No road rash just pealing off by itself. New ones are $45 each for OEM. Was thinking about what you did. Thanks for the reply!
Actually, I thought u were commenting on a different video. The wheel covers still look great. I did the same to another car and they were still fresh 2 years later. A coat of two part clear would really preserve this.
Sorry about the confusion!
Should have use one more coat or at least use some clear coat. Also I recommend Rustanoulum. Still looks a million times better. Go get fancy buy some red paint and a small brush and get that red back in there. Make it pop!
