Nah they should keep this manual only for people who actually give a shit about driving. The ilx dct wouldn't be able to handle the torque of this either. Also the main reasons this didn't get the 10at in other acura products are presumably it wouldn't fit, and they don't have a good trick diff for an automatic the way they do for the manuals
This car is just a reskinned Type R. It offers virtually no additional features over the Type R. Reviewers have to mimic and stretch the few things they have changed like revolutionary 5 EXTRA horse power (oh my god!) and the “pops and bangs” exhaust that’s still worse sounding than the 34k Elantra N. Don’t forget the NVH worse than the 24k Mazda 3. It’s so luxury that the only luxury features is the ELS audio and heated seats (oh my god!) while your passenger uses manual seat control haha

It’s “street” but needs to weight reduce exactly like the Type R and has more power AND boy racer pops and bangs? It’s more “luxury” when it’s actually more barren than every car half its price? It’s simply a Type R reskinned with a massive markup for Honda fanboys to buy. The Elantra N, because none have exploded so far, is 10x a better deal and has so called “luxury features” like heated seats too.
@@ShaiyanHossainI was in the market for a Type S. Ended up going with the Elantra N because it’s not worth an extra $18k for a slightly better ELS audio, softer materials and a heads up display.
@@chhoyla i mean it has ps4s it was never going to be quiet tf lol. Also you left out how they retuned the dampers to make the car ride softer- which was one of the biggest complaints of the type R. I guarantee you nobody in the market for one of these is looking at the boy racer N or a auto tragic Mazda 3 either
@@ShaiyanHossain LMAO! Why did they put “pops and bangs” when that’s the literal pinnacle of “boy racer”? This car is an identity crisis made from Acura’s cheapest attempts to add anything to this car. Firstly the dampers are the same ones they downgraded from the last gen Type R.
Outside of the soft materials and a hatch, I much prefer the Elantra N. The seats, the cluster/display, exhaust note, and driving experience made it a much better value to me.
I wonder if there are driving school which teaches Manual in Texas
Very interesting to see a drive in normal (ie, hectic) road conditions. Tedward and TheTopher always seem to be able to drive on roads which are miraculously void of traffic. So unrealistic.
Sunroof ventillalted seats power passenger seats rear vents and usbc in back suede headliner rear arm rest hand brake modds?
Since you mentioned you needed to use the hand sanitizer can I assume that you also took all the covid-19 clot shots??
That's why I don't park next to those extended cab pickup trucks.
Hold on, I swear I saw this exact same Type S on the east coast (DC area). I recognize the license plate!
I think making videos like this is really interesting, how do you even get started and being able to do reviews on cars like this?
I, too, am very interested in learning how one becomes a TH-cam car journalist. Dream job for real
You can rent cars or approach dealerships with a request to borrow a car - offer them a plug in the video and they will likely accept a free marketing video. But have a few videos done already so you can show them some of your work. (no fancy equipment needed to start, u can use your phone)
The dealer in my city wanted a Market adjustment of $20,000 plus Desert protection for another $2000. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
A wonderful machine that you can control yourself and feel it, what is missing in my opinion is more power and seventh gear :)
Yeah the northern middle states of the US, you’ll see some interesting drivers out and about. When you’re out in the middle of the day of the day during the week, it’s the worst. All the “normal” people are at work haha
Non-ironically I've seen an Integra Type S on the road already. On this road that i live near there are people who have nice Porsches, McLarens, Lambos, and gaudy stuff like G Wagons and RSQ8s. So you know this Integra owner was also a rich person...even though I'm the target audience, I'm not the target demographic, they are.
Why would it be ironic to see the car?
I personally would take TLX Type-S over this. Especially they both cost pretty much the same.
Gross. Overweight automatic trash
Damn I didnt think they'd be that similar
Do I take the slightly cheaper route but only limit myself to 360 hp max or cough up the 6k so that I can get 400+ without losing traction and spinning out
That blue needs them gold rims yo, trust me 😊😊😊
Absolutely no way this should be above $40K
Fantastic car for $40k. I love it. But $55k out the door at most dealers? Nope. Im a huge honda fan but this is just out of control, stop the madness. There are tons of great options at that price range. Sadly this car will be discontinued in about 2-3 years because no one will buy them.
Using a heat gun briefly can remove those cupholder marks
crazy, how does it not have memory seats
Definitely hit that Dodge Nitro! Probably minimal with a scratch, but definitely hate it. Really hate parking in public also, just have to drive the beater to go out.
Product placement. 15:18
What is that white light in the middle of the gauge cluster that sometimes flashes on it and the ctr?
Any compliments about appearance? Or do people think it may resemble with Blue Scion with that color?
Enjoyed the video. Do you know if the rear seats have AC vents?
I wish the base powertrain wasn't so anemic - a cheaper mid-grade powertrain option or a better base motor would move a lot more Integras
I’m going to get this car!
You and tedward lol. You sit in backwards and kick your feet before you get in. I have no idea how you do this lol. Maybe back seat but I’ve seen tedward do it on front seats and I have no idea how. I guess it just depends on the seats/car. I could never do that in my fl5 it just doesn’t work lol.
What’s your thoughts on the the factory car audio?
Our driving tests our way to easy… it’s kinda like the gym… once you know what you’re doing, you can tell when people don’t… which is 88% of all people so yeah lol
I just have a hard time figuring who this car is for. Competitors do what the integra does better and at a cheaper price too. Acura as of late has been pretty suspect and it feels like Honda doesn’t care as long as they keep selling CRVs.
Stick shift without a manual e-brake is stupid in my book. But then again, I know how to use one.
It is nice looking but at just under 60k out the door for a rebodied civic is just crazy.
These new car prices are out of control
Nice car. These things are a little pricey. I still believe I'd pay it if one was available? I lived in that area for years! Always park in the back!
Way better than the Type R
I wish it was released as a two door coupe..
Audi RS 5 would be my first choice..Acura is no 2 & its a good one..luv the fast back hatches
Alright I see fanatec boxes so please explain to me why Chris hasn't made a video about the sim yet????
Getting paid while running errands. Nice!
Funny thing, saw this at a Qwik Park in Romulus… 😂
I remember when you can actually add a big wing on integras
