Finally a real video! Very close to what I thought it would look like. The news about the stalks is huge. Now, bring on the PERFORMANCE model!
I was hoping for an architecture upgrade. It would be pretty helpful to have a power share option.
The stalks are the biggest news. Thanks for the preview!
Wish they would just have the option for them or not. I love my stockless Tesla
I own the new M3 and stockless is the way to go.
@@LoL-jk9os you and the five other people who love it can just keep the Highland then. Everyone else can move on
@@london_biker6177 So far everyone who has the new M3 is saying it's good, barely seen negative comments from actual users who tried it on daily basis.
So Ryan, you said the headlights are integrated in the lightbar. What are the lights beneath that then? Are they inclement weather lights? I would've like to see an electronic dimable glass roof panel. Would've been a nice touch for the price of this car.
Well, I feel investors should be focusing on under-the-radar stocks, and considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises plummeting stocks that were once revered and I don't know where to go here out of devastation.
The safest approach I feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown.
@@SimretBielke I totally agree. A financial advisor can provide valuable insights and help ensure that our investment portfolios are aligned with our long-term financial goals. They have the expertise to navigate through market fluctuations and make informed decisions.
@@AdryanaAlef I will be happy to receive assistance and glad to have someone help me, but how can one spot a reputable one?
@@VeziSalsa There are many independent advisors to choose from. But I work with MARGARET MOLLI ALVEY and we've been working together for almost four years and she's fantastic. You could pursue her if she meets your requirements. I agree with her.
@@AdryanaAlef Thank you for this Pointer. It was easy to find your handler, She seems very proficient and flexible.
is there better manual physical latch for the passengers to get out emergency?
The light bar in front I don’t think is the headlights (like CT), that’s why in all the pictures you see a beam coming from “fog light” below it
will it have AI 5 or AI 4?
Removing the indicator stalk on Model 3 was such a dumb idea 🤦
Seems like Tesla acknowledged that. Hopefully they return it to the M3 and other models.
Meh, I got used to it in a week. Now I think that stalks are actually dumb. Would be nice if they did both so people can use whatever they like.
@@JaimeVisser100% agree
@@JaimeVisser Depends on where you live. They work great in the US where there are mostly intersections. Everywhere else it's much more difficult to use the buttons, because they tend to use tight roundabouts instead.
@@FireWalkMusic I live in the Netherlands. We love roundabouts, they are everywhere in varying sizes. Even with those you get used quite easily to the buttons.
How do you use blinkers without a stock when going around a roundabout for example? Impossible to use buttons on the wheel while in a turn
I just picked up a 2025 Model 3 a couple weeks ago and love it! My two gripes are the lack of a turn signal stalk and the lack of a nose camera (I have a very snug garage). It's funny those are the two new main features they added beyond mirroring the Model 3 changes.
You can add a stalk! 🎉
But you may also get used to it like I did.
I also have a tight garage - just use reference markers.
Maybe they listen to their paying customers
Great, now bring back the gear selector.
@@zoltrix7779 I can live without the gear selector. I signal a lot more than I shift - well, except in a manual I guess, lol.
Ready to place my order and make it my third Model Y… one of each update!!!
Hi Ryan, I just checked the Australian Tesla website and it is available to order here. Estimated delivery May. LR (551 km WLTP) @ AUD79,452 drive away (in Victoria), RWD (466 km WLTP) @ AUD69,032 drive away.
Unfortunately the price has increased quite a bit, while the other very popular Chinese EV have had another price reduction.
@@gregb1599the price increase is probably Tesla expecting an order rush. This would limit it somewhat and increase profit. Prices will likely go down during the next 12 months.
@@gregb1599 Yes, I think the price will have to come down (and I expect it will once the initial pent up demand is satisfied).
Does the new updated model y have the new adaptive lights that were shown on a few you tube videos? The lights that self adapt according to night time conditions. Thanks.
My first impressions are that I really like this car because it is different. I can order from Australian website, but it is the more expensive model, will wait until they release the standard model Y as is already a stretch price wise.
Well you do get any paint colour for no additional cost. As well as standard 20" wheels. But yeah a lot more expensive still!
Now we need a video talking about how much it is for maintenance. By maintenance I mean how much it cost to replace the interior lights when they go out. The light bar in the back, headlights and the running lights, & the ambient lighting strips . Front camera replacement because I’m sure somebody’s gonna have a rock that hits their camera and breaks it lol give us all the deets.
Australia Tesla page shows indicator stalk for blinkers.
Hope the frunk gets a closing button 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Thank you, Ryan, for bringing the new ModelY to us. It looks awesome.
Curious - when turning the wheel if one needed to engage the blinker how awkward is it with the buttons.
I like the new glacier color.
I wonder if the stalk is coming back to the 3?
Chinese market only it seems. USA and Europe won't have it.
@electrolyse FSD is much further along. Hoping in a year we get robo taxi
@@electrolysethat's would be stupid for Europe. USA can get away without it but Europe is like China. Most people I know here see the lack of stalk as a complete show stopper. I fully expect this stalk on the Berlin version too. It would be a stupid move not to include it. We have tons of roundabouts in Europe.
Totally… In area where I live… a lot of roundabouts! And very near eachothers… sometimes connected. So stalk… anyday!
@@FraiseVache ok, let's see then
I hope the acceleration boost option also comes to the refreshed Model 3.
i dont think this update will be enough to get sales especially with all the new competition. Also how come no powertrain upgrade?
I will buy a Tesla for the charging network and I really like the cars and truck.
Weird thing to say since Tesla's worst selling model still sells more than all of most other brands combined.
Tesla Y has been the top selling car in the U.K. for 2 years now. Model 3 is number 2, I think this refresh will just increase its lead!
Still no competition. Closest thing is an Ioniq 5 and this is better in performance.
What competition. Lmao
Are the lower front lights matrix headlights?
The upper part is only the light bar and integrated blinkers. Head lights are below the light bar
Can the light bar be turned off?
No grab bars to exit vehicle. Is that under consideration on the new Tesla Odell Y?
Looks pretty futuristic
*because it is.*
Does the frunk lid have an automatic lift/close feature?
Why do they keep neglecting to add a heads up display? They have all the features of a premium car except for that.
Tesla only has outdated tech, that's why
Yeah I know a few folks that passed on Tesla because of this. They don’t seem to care that they lose some sales because of this.
The have that tablet… Nobody needs more than that!
😂😂😂
Yeah… I need more than that…
😢
Because it’s redundant, costly and unnecessary. With FSD driving the car, who needs it?
Agreed, a hud with just basic speedo etc, how hard is that? Even as an option. That aside, I like it!
Has there been any information on an improvement to the LFP batteries?
I'd love to see that steering wheel and stalk be compatible with existing model 3 highlands. I've gotten used to my buttons, but would still definitely prefer a stalk
They’ll probably bring it back or sell you one with a retrofit, otherwise that company that makes the S3XY buttons has a stalk kit for like $300
I think it looks awesome and would love to get one but the deals for the 2024 Model Ys in the last couple of months were just too good so I got one of them and I love it. The new ones are cool but I am happy with my September 2024 Model Y.
Love the new look and Turn Signal stalk!!! I’m a Model 3 guy that might consider the Y for the new design details!?!? Might wait to see if those come to the 3 though too?
Tesla probably added the indicator stalk back because of euro cap ratings as they will receive lower ratings if they don’t have ease of use for example mirror adjustment and indicator stalks.
I wonder how visibility will be affected by the narrow lights? I heard that was an issue with the cybertruck.
Headlights are coming from the fog light area not the light bar
Cyber truck issue was because it’s right above the front bumper step so snow sits in front. Not an issue on this car
I want to see a center pod with speedo and blinkers, basic info. I dont want to look to the dise for the speedo.
Looking good. Any word on the sound proofing improvements?
Ooo. I’m glad they didn’t remove the stalk. Can’t wait to upgrade when it’s available in the States.
Love it. The new blue color is nice. Looking forward to seeing the performance version with better wheels and spoiler.
does anyone think that the bumper camera could be retrofitted to the tesla model 3 highland? I would really love one lol. They must deem it to be necessary if they added it
Cool. Only thing I’d like is power share capability. Maybe they’re keeping this quiet but for me it’s a must on next gen vehicles.
Is there any confirmation on power Frunk? I thought I read that it was included on the new Model Y.
The issue is some European markets were upset about the stalks because of rounderbouts
We have lots of roundabouts and stalks is a MUST HAVE
The model 3 looks so elegant. This looks like its designed by middle schooler
Does it have blind spot warning lights on both sides?
Hoping it would have had more range. Oh well.. Will wait until they give a free FSD transfer before I update to this new version. Usually the incentives come at the end of the year if sales are slow.
Wonder why no 48V if it is so much better? What about drive by wire? Out of all the new things I am only jealous of 2. The vented seats and the bumper cam.
Wonder what upgrade the performance trim will bring
If it matches the Model 3 Performance it will have adjustable suspension that you can set to be softer when not hustling the car. That along with better seats and slightly faster by .2 seconds.
Still need to know about battery replacement. Will need to be replaced in future and if so, when and how much??
Finally, now I can buy the old model Y for much cheaper now😀
Indeed, that's how I got my used Model3 also 👌
Thank God they brought the stalk back. That was a terrible decision getting rid of it just to save a few bucks.
I have been waiting for this refresh, but with only 3% increase in range, I'll pass for now.
I want to order this as soon as it becomes available
I'm not impressed enough to dump my 2023 Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD which I'm enjoy tremendously and the ongoing FSD updates adding to so much more of the vehicle's function and safety. Additionally, the loss of the $7,500 Point of Sale discount scheduled to end on 1/20/25 only justfies my decision NOT to buy the Juniper along with the depreciation hit I would be taking. So I'll wait for the next major revision on the Model Y in 4+ years.
I truly enjoy my 2023.
Sounds fomo
My guess is Trump and musk will continue that point of sale discount
Has anyone guessed what size tires/wheels the LR AWD will be fitted with?
I'll wait for the R2...fingers crossed
Keep 'em crossed, and pinching those pennies. The R2 ain't going to be cheap.
Yes.
That front camera is going to get covered by snow lol
I need my signal stalk on my Model 3!!!
The indicator stalk will probably come back on the Model 3...
