    For starters. Intake, tune, exaust, long tubes, mid pipe, cam, heads. This is the order I went in exactly. I'm currently running a VMP 93 octane race tune and I put 377 and 380 torque to the wheels. 12.4 best quarter mile time with 285/35/18 nitto 555's

      haterget1nb3ast it's a waste of money. Trust me I know I went that route before Boost.

      nola504boy1 I was planning on going with longtubes and cams early next year. I know these cars don't gain much from boltons, but I was hoping it would keep me happy until I can afford a built bottom end and a supercharger. Are the gains really that weak?

    • @nola504boy1
      @nola504boy1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      GA08GT only way I would go that route is if you're planning on spraying the car with those mods. Then I'll say yeah, I loved the way the car performs with bolt ons, cams, & nitrous. Your car would be a beast.

    • @GA08GT478
      @GA08GT478 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      nola504boy1 Yeah man, I've thought about nitrous in the past, but I want the power to be there all the time. I'm really not sure if I'll ever have the money to boost my car though!

    • @nola504boy1
      @nola504boy1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      GA08GT trust me man nitrous is the best way to go if you can't afford boost. Only reason I switched is because I race a lot & I got tired of filling bottles so much. It started to get expensive.

      @@NateRider I know this is an old vid so I'd like to know what you went with as far as the X or H pipe. Also, I passed the NYS Smog test with long tubes and high flow bullet cats on my recently sold 97 camaro z28 383 stroker. I used pretty expensive ceramic cats so that may have helped but believe it or not I was blasting so much pressure through those cats that I exploded one of the cat's honeycombs. On my Stang (when I get it) I was leaning towards H pipe and high flow cats because the restriction with good high flow cats is negligible and the H pipe is geared toward keeping that deeper v8 American muscle rumble...
      Please let me know what you went with. Gonna try and find your next vid to find out anyway but would love your impressions too.

    Great video. I am an NA guy so for me my road to more power is kooks green catted H pipe, kooks long tube header, ford performance high performance intake manifold, twin 62mm throttle body by ford racing, msd coil on packs, performance spark plugs and detroit rocker cams. Not quite the monster hp boost but I am after some extra HP and a whole ton of awesome sound for my ride.

    just remember everyone, bolt ons don't add up individually to an over all HP gain. If a CAI says 30HP gain, that's with a tune, and supporting mods (TB, Upper/Lower intake, MAF Etc). You might get some small gains from just a CAI. Great video as always man!

      Been reading comments. Have an 07 GT. Tough to decide what to do with the 4.6, when the 5.0 prices are coming down. I am fan of getting the s197 it to drive right, swat bars, RLCAs, one piece drive shaft, sub fram connectors, shocks and springs, 3.73 rear. Best thing to do is create a good car you enjoy. Accept it cant compete with the coyote and move on. Just build a car you enjoy, however you want.

    I like the video - I have done most of the same mods for the wife's 2007 GT - Mod list: Nitrious Outlet 05-09 Mustang kit with billet bottle bracket and warmer - controlled by NOS Drive by wire Controller, AirRaid Intake, SCT LiveWire TS+ ( basically the same as your x4), Akrapovic(very rare you will have to search to find this kit) full exhaust from the factory exhaust Manifold to the carbon fiber tip , Aluminum Drive Shaft, FMS 4.10 gears.
    The car sits on a a set of 2011 Ford Motor Sport Brembo Track Pack wheels, I about to install the GT500 Brake kit. A bunch of little crap but that the main performance mods. It also has Tein springs, these are about to com off, its just too low I have a brand new set of FMS K springs that are going in once I see what the condition of the shocks/struts are like.

    Good stuff EXCEPT when modding a car, start from the REAR then make your way to the front. Factory exhaust systems are restrictive. If you throw on a CAI first, all that extra air it's taking in has nowhere to go. Catback, mid/X or H pipe, headers, intake, pulleys, THEN a tune last.

    • @dawsonmaynard5308
      @dawsonmaynard5308 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tune before anything before the cat back (location wise) bc if you don't then you can ruin the car and add extra load to the engine due to it not being tuned

Mine is bone stock, red, but I want black so I think I'm going to do the small dings and dents myself and have it wrapped in high gloss black or dark charcoal. The first thing I'm doing to mine is a motor, I'm leaning towards the 2015 aluminator supercharged, (I want to keep it at or below $20k lol.) Then do the exterior, lights spoilers etc.. I don't believe in copying someone else's but I'm going to come close haha! Kudos to how well you keep her and the mods you've done so far are badass. * Specially the headlights and taillights. Nate Rider so I really love the 2013 mustang but I also like the older styling on the 05-09. Plus with the extra money I can add some modifications to the 05-09. My question is, does your setup give you enough horsepower and bring a smile to your face every time you drive your car. I feel like 300 horsepower is plenty for a daily car but people always want more power. How often am I really going to use 400 horsepower with the coyote engine...
      Main thing I guess I’m asking though is are you happy with your car or do you wish you had some more pony’s under the hood?

    Dude . . . again . . . good job. I view soooo many youtube videos and I swear I like yours best!! I like how you broke it down to 5 groups. As you know I have been doing suspension mods so far. It's time for engine related stuff. I think I mentioned to you b4 I was going to start with tune + CAI. Did you hear anything about that doing anything to engine life? I read some stuff about quicker engine wear while others say no, and if there is might be due to simply driving the car harder. Thoughts on that? Smart on waiting until after smog check. I am an OC Cali guy and CA regs suck. P.S. - congrats on 2300+ subscribers!! Wow you are getting up there!!

THank you again! On to 3K!!!

    Headers don't make a huge difference on these cars N/A sorry to say. The factory manifold is pretty well designed and aren't much of a restriction. The Catalytic converters may be a bigger restriction than the headers.

    BBK Lts with an H pipe will be sweet. just figure if you want the most TQ, get the H. Gears make you MECHANICALLY fast, so like I said, I STILL have my 4.10's sitting in the garage haha and yes I love my SR UDPs...they free UP horsepower that the A/C takes from the motor. so its not added to the 300BHP, its within that number (for those that dont know that)

I dont know much about mustangs so I'm not really sure what else he has on it, but I know the car puts out 292 bhp. What mods do you think I should consider, any help would be much appreciated!

  • @StormMartialArt
    @StormMartialArt 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi, great video. I think you might forgot to mention throttle bodies, which should add a fair amount of HPs for cheap.

    • @NateRider
      @NateRider  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah i am very hesitant with throttle bodies. I am not too sure if a couple of mm of room will add too much hp

    • @StormMartialArt
      @StormMartialArt 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its always hard to say without a Dyno, but I had a throttle body on my previous 04 GT, which was more restrictive than my current stock 06 GT. The Throttle body made a good pull. Granted it might just make the throttle more responsive, but if you can access the torque/HP way earlier at less throttle, then I would say its a heck of a bolt on. I would be surprised if it wouldn't be more potent in a 5th Gen.

    • @NateRider
      @NateRider  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah throttle bodies alone wouldn't do too much power, but with other mods YES it will be an excellent add on and increase the power

    Own a 2007 GT. Too much money. Sell your car and buy a 2012 5.0. Prices are coming down. Good used buys. But, if you do want you GT to be faster, you should do everything to get power to the ground before you waste $$$ on a motor that will never be a 5.0. Sub frame connectors, sway bars, shocks and lower springs, rear lower control arms, watts link, one piece draft shaft, possibly a torque arm, and 3.73 gears. This plus a race tune, will add up to more over all perforce than a turbo on a track.

    I don’t think I would say the stock 3v can’t accelerate if it’s life depended on it when it does 0-60 in 5.1 seconds. Compared to a 2018 5.0, sure it’s slower, but historically 5.1 is pretty quick.

    To get more than 600HP in a 2005-2009 GT you best have a built engine with good internals or else your bottom end will grenade on ya. The bottom ends in these cars are not meant to hold more than 600HP (actually less than 600HP).

    I have an 05' with shorty headers, cams full exhaust steeda underdrive pulleys JLT cai bbk throttle body and 3:73 gears predator custom dump tune it put down 325rwhp and 331rwtq. To pass emissions I had to put the cats back in and lost 20rwhp just from that alone...so cats are huge restriction..my than 5hp with multiple mods. Bbk t/b had issues with rpm hanging up, so no longer have it on the car. Steeda under drive pulleys caused misfire code all the time so removed those as well...havent dynoed since pulleys and throttle body removed but would say under drive pulleys make a difference

    @ernieromero7245 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ok ideas but not so much. a turbo is out of most people's reach especially if your a first time owner and a supercharger same thing I would say best thing to do is full free flowing exhaust first long tubes, x pipe, and some good mufflers I had bbk on my and we're the best intake is good too brand really doesn't matter they all do the same job it's just build quality and being carb legal or not a plenum spacer is a good idea not to many gains but it's good to have one and cams are a big one that are totally worth the money and to match that a bigger throttle body and all this should be complemented with a tune oh and gears that was a good suggestion from him as well but boosting a car not so much if you looking to get so cheap hp and torque

I used to have a Grand Prix GTP Supercharged and this one is much faster. No nitrus in Canada anymore.
