You underestimate Leon's most powerful weapon. He ability to absolutely syle on and roast his opponents. The marker would be defeated on an existential level
Realistically Leon would be having a really hard time due to the markers effects he would see past people he encountered in resident evil 2 . And have effects like Isaac in dead space 2
Yeah that’s what I’m imagining as well, he would probably be manipulated by the marker into doing something to further the spread of Necro’s since for a human he’s so strong. If not though the marker would probably use hallucinations to draw him into a trap, out into space or drive him insane and make him game end himself
@@elfather2045 Pretty sure his flight ability only works in zero-g or low-g environments, also I notice no one talks about the boulder sections in RE4, given how clunky Isaac is he's not likely outrunning that boulder without popping a stasis on it and even then that depends on whether or not he even has any stasis left up to those points to use unless we're just assuming he has infinite stasis, then there's the minecart jump which would require one hell of an agility feat from him to make given how that suit of his would be weighing him down, and the suit would likely cause him to sink like a rock if he fell into the lake during that particular fight.
@@bobbobbob3871not true actually, the thrusters work in normal gravity too, it just doesn't levitate you like ironman. In Dead space 2 he was able to keep up with a speeding tram with his thrusters, where gravity was still a factor.
Yeah, it's less a critique of either character, but more of a comparison between modern tech and future tech, and zombies vs. A FRIGGIN' COSMIC HORROR.
Bruh why would Leon not have suit in the dead space verse and why tf would Issac have his Suit in Leon world this video dumb asf you world swapped but left everyone gear and etc with them in the other world which is dumb Leon should have a suit and weapons if that verse and Issac has no suit, Issac cooked
I'm gonna give Leon the benefit and say hes intelligent enough to find a space suit. Along with targeting whatever weak points he can exploit. It would be rough but he would barely make it.
Leon arrives on Ishimura: “where’d everyone go? bingo?” Intelligence is a factor in how long it takes to go insane from the marker signal, but Isaac specifically is an engineer, and his mind interprets the marker signal as blueprints and codes as opposed to just mind numbing noise. Importantly though Isaac 100% goes insane , he just has enough of a grip to not kill himself and continue with his mission.
Sadly, we have no idea how the marker affected Ellie, other than basic hallucinations. She seemed to keep her wits, despite not being hyper intelligent. She worked for C-Sec, just a glorified security guard.
@@akanji8285 it didn't effect Ellie at all because she has a genetic immunity. Intelligence isn't the only factor to resist the markers signal, but it's based on genetics as well. In the extraction spin off game, lexine not only had a canonical immunity to the marker, but an aura of immunity as well. Meaning ppl around here were also immune to the signal, but only as long as they were in her presence.
@@dathip don't see how he was supposed to fight Mendez right there. His mission just started, he only had a pistol (shotgun technically but I'm sure that would've just made Mendez angry) the pistol shots did fuck all, and he was cornered. That was bad luck, not ignorance
i think it would be like Leon's 3.5 counter part. hallucinations and such like the hook man versions. I think he'd survive not due to his ability to fight, but to adapt. i think he'd figure out to cut the limbs like Isaac did. He's extremely lucky and i assume he would find weapons on the ship. When it comes to Leon, when things get tough, he always finds a way to survive even the most unimaginable odds.
It also helps in the first DS game the limb cutting tactics weren’t actually Issac’s idea. I t was a message written on the wall that tipped him off to it.
He definitely doesn’t resist the effects of the Marker very long sorry to say it isn’t the basic level hallucinations people think it is, it effects your mind on a fundamental cellular/molecular level down to the neurons and your very consciousness, it will learn all about you and your trauma and your desires and goals to manipulate you completely very subtly, it can be just blatant with its effects with the noise and symbols and jump scared yet if you can resist that at first then it’s subtle so you don’t even know it’s happening until it’s too late and even at the end it can just overwhelm your mind to drive you mad and just beg for death, the humans in dead space only have a chance to resist due to their own evolution as they existed before the marker yet the marker manipulated and guided their evolution so it was part natural and part manipulated so due to some existing near it or just adapting overtime the human body has a built in defense against the marker to warn you and to try to resist it but it can still overwhelm most humans even Isaac was manipulated and driven almost insane by it, he went through hell to stop it and almost died many times, it is not as easy as people think it is, just do better research.
@@swift-pawedteif386 It’s not plot armor for him to resist the marker it’s in the lore how humans do and he still got controlled, him being able to fix most things makes sense and he gets help too, he learns about the events with help as well which aids in his survival, and even his win against the HiveMind is likely due to the Marker knowing it won’t survive a continent impacting it so it let’s him go with the blueprint of the marker in his mind to spread it. Like what plot armor would we give Leon and how does it even help him? Cuz really he does not get much if we are being honest and it’s just a dumb excuse to make it easy for him.
@@johndodo2062 Shotgun is to slow and he has to remove all of the limbs, and while he is dealing with just one necromorph, they are like a dozen more atacking him and remember that necromorphs are not zombies or ganados their are freaking fast and agressive .
Shotguns r not exclusively close range, they have an effective range of 35m (38 yards) with buck shots. And shotguns r very good at crowd control, knockback and high damage should keep them at bay. Shotguns r effective against necromorph (because of dead space 3) so does regular rifle bullets if you r accurate enough with your rapid fire.
I don't think Isaac without his suit and gear would survive and imma tell you why If we're to actually take into of the scenarios of both games then that would mean that Isaac would have to do nearly everything Leon does which would include Del Lago, fighting Krauser, the hole Leon fell in, the lazer room, and also other BOW's that can still function even when decapitated. Isaac may have fought Necromorphs but that doesn't mean much when a lot of BOW's in Resident Evil can transform even after taking a lot of damage making Isaac a sitting duck. So Isaac without all of his equipment would definitely have a far harder time than Leon With his equipment and other stuff it'd be the equivalent of dropping the Doomslayer in the Dark Souls universe
I don’t think Del Lago would be much more difficult for him than it was for Leon, after all it’s pretty much just standing in one place throwing harpoons Krauser would absolutely be the biggest roadblock especially since he likes to fight hand to hand. He’s definitely the biggest road block and I think that fight determines whether or not he ends up surviving. I believe Leon used a grapple gun to save himself from the fall which if we’re giving Issac his equipment he could do. The laser room is also highly debatable and I can see Issac dying there BOW’s being able to transform I don’t think is much of a big deal. Issac could defeat the Hivemind and Brethren Moon and he’s used to fighting enemies that literally never die, so I don’t think it would change much or catch him off guard really,
@@Sci-FiKai nah. He's definitely not surviving Krauser. And the remake had Leon catch a chain instead of having a grappling hook. Tho if we're going by the OG Resident Evil 4 then Isaac is definitely not surviving the laser room and hole without his stuff BOW's still operate differently than Necromorphs. So we can't just say that Isaac would steamroll through all of them just because seeing as their are BOW's that would absolutely murk Isaac without proper knowledge of them.
@@ratchetexperience8379 he would just try and try until he succeeds. Either that or Leon and Isaac just magically get knowledge from eachother to even the odds. I still think he'd just burn everything to a crisp and cut off the remains, but that's just me

Issac isn't an Acrobat, so he wouldn't be able to survive the lasers in the hallway, qnd Leon wouldn't be able to stay sane, so both would die, however this video was entertaining, so well done.
Also leon would be able to stay sane, if we are talking leon from re4, he already acts like he's in a B action movie, purposely does campy quips and just roasts the bad guy and always keeps his cool. He would be able to resist the marker more than he could with Ada 😂
@@thiefamongu3857 No not at all, he would be easily manipulated if anything it would use Ada against him with him hallucinating Dr.Cross as Ada and she thinks he is her bf Jacob Temple, using them till the HiveMind wins tbh lol people underestimate the power of the Markers.
I would like to provide my own take on the 4 scenarios, this may be lengthy but I don’t want that to make it seem like I’m complaining, I actually really liked this video and how you broke down this question into 4 scenarios and the points you made especially with the fact that Isaac is actually pretty proficient at fighting human combatants by the third game. But here’s my take Leon w/ his own weapons: Leon would probably get almost killed by the first necromorph he ran into but would figure out quickly that his weapons are not very effective. He would likely find audio logs same as Isaac as well as messages telling him to cut off the limbs and would probably try to use his special ops training and knife and could maybe kill them one at a time. Any more than that though and he might be screwed unless he breaks out a rocket launcher or uses a shotgun or magnum to blast off their limbs individually, which they could definitely do. All in all his odds of survival like this are very slim but it’s still possible albeit with a great deal of effort. Leon w/ Isaac’s equipment: I doubt he would be able to make use of the armor on the ishimura since it’s obviously very bulky and heavy which goes against his mobility based skill set, and even if he did use it he likely wouldn’t know how to use the two best pieces of equipment on the suit, that being the stasis and telekinesis. Even still, having a suit with an oxygen supply can still be useful especially since it’s very durable. It’s possible that Leon would be able to figure out how to use the weapons and tools in the dead space universe but he would need to play around with them a bit and even then still probably would struggle with them. Odds of Leon surviving with Isaac’s equipment isn’t much better since he isn’t trained or knowledgeable of how to use them, and they don’t synergize well with his skill set. Even still, if he can figure out how to use them he stands a better chance of survival, but I wouldn’t put his odds as better than Isaac’s. Isaac w/ his own equipment: Isaac would be near unstoppable in Leon’s world using his own equipment. All of it is far more advanced than the technology that exists in the world of resident evil which gives him a huge advantage, however, a lot of the stunts that Leon pulls off are based around his mobility and ability to keep moving. Isaac in contrast, typically benefits from hunkering down in one spot and ripping apart everything that moves until they stop moving. When it comes to most enemies they won’t be able to really hurt him because of his armor, but that armor still does have weak points, and that makes me think that enemies like Krauser or Salazar’s two body guards would attack those points and gradually rip him apart while using hit and run tactics. Also, any feat of acrobatics or agility Isaac simply isn’t capable of unless he can magnetically stick himself to a surface to accomplish it. Still, Isaac stands pretty good chance of survival with his own equipment. Isaac w/ Leon’s equipment: Isaac will have the same odds of survival as the two police officers escorting Leon at the beginning of the game. Certain death almost guaranteed upon reaching the village.
Yeah definitely something I was getting annoyed with after a bit when he was down playing Leon's strength, he's not Chris boulder punching redfield but he's a very built special agent. My thoughts. Leon without proper weapons = instant death. Issac without his future tech = Instant death. Leon having training and gear would be dependent on how the marker would effect him and what his mission would be. If it's just to escape he can leave before it gets in his head. If Issac just needs to leave he can just drive away.
Leon has more options than you give him credit. The ability to pop a necromorph in the knee with his pistol and then do a sweep kick to topple several of them at once makes for a huge crowd control advantage. Larger necromorphs like Brutes have the same sorts of glowing weak points that Resident Evil and other Capcom games love to include, so he'd be more than capable of following that trend. The marker signal would definitely take its toll, but at worst it would be at Dead Space 2 levels for him. At the end of the day, he is still a seasoned veteran and government agent, and his bravado attitude might actually be a method he uses to cope with the insanity.
@@SympatheticStrawmanVA it can't make him hallucinate ada because both the games and books makes the implication that the marker can only make you hallucinate ppl who have died. In Dead Space Martyr, which is a book that tells the story of Altman, Altman himself only hallucinated his girlfriend(ironically named Ada) after she was killed. Which is how he found out she had died.
@@definitelynotmymain1808honestly Issac main source of fighting is his armor and tech, And it shouldn’t be a debate Issac is stronger then Leon. Is common sense if you play both games.
Kai that's a great video. I'd definitely like to see more of what if this RE character was in this series or this game part of this established series. One video I'd love to see is what if Leon S Kennedy was in Doom Eternal. Would he survive a trip to Hell like Doomguy did and back? How would he beat The Cyberdemon, Spider Mastermind and The Icon of Sin? Will you do a video on that? I'd love to see it.
Thanks! I do plan on doing a Doom video eventually and more RE vids of course. With that idea in particular unfortunately it would be a very one sided stomp for the demons with how powerful they are. In lore the demons and enemies of Doom eternal are insane, like god of war tier enemies. It gets crazy
You underestimate the power the pulse rifle packs because not only it has three barrels and the kinetic energy that disperse in the victim is extreme to the point of liquifing tissues and fracturing bones with one bullet and it’s ultra low caliber bullets are designed to to squash on impact
I don’t think I’m underestimating the Pulse Rifle more so than just the fact that Necro’s are so strong. The PR is really strong and like I said if Issac used it in the RE-verse it would obliterate most enemies it’s only weak in comparison to Isaac’s other more powerful weapons
@@Sci-FiKainecromorphs are literally build for this cuz the moons made sure humanity came to that point with tech so it would be ezy for them to be taken over so ya against anything else dead space weapons are op but against necromorphs they ain't cuz the moons know everything about humanity and know what kind of necromorphs to build to take over just look at the Tau valentians in dead space 3 they went through the same thing they even build kinesis amplifier platforms and they even have stuff that u need to move with stasis and kinesis it seems like both separate races came to the same kinds of conclusion and that's no doubt because of the marker The brother moons want them that way witch is crazy to think about. Markers plan: build a race from the ground up make them reliant on energy to the point they get desperate put out a signal that gives them unlimited energy but also creates necromorphs and makes them go insane then let the feast begin
@@Sci-FiKai I really like the Pulse Rifle for that, being only as if not less effective on necromorphs as literal mining tools are, because the pulse rifle is designed to fight humans and not necromorphs which have resilience that is borderline superhuman

Wasn't Leon actually heavily scared by the events of RE2. The characters in the RE games have always been superhuman but the games have also always portrayed them as normal human beings aswell. Both Leon and Chris are incrediblin traumatised by the events of their past games and the Marker would be able to exploit that heavily.
@matijasostojic4288 he was scarred but we also see him continuing on and saving people using the pain he experienced as new found strength to keep fighting bioterrorism I feel like it would try to fool Leon but Leon would keep going with the goal in mind of stopping it before it could hurt anyone else kinda like Issac did at the end of Dead Space 2 when he went to destroy the marker
@@alexray1711 that wouldn't be a factor at all when it comes to marker resistance. Nathan McNeil was a veteran of the resource wars. Where he would risk his life to gain resources for his side. Being seen as a war hero. He was still driven insane by the marker, even going as far as hallucinating as he was being turned into a necromorph.
I do believe Leon would have a better chance at adapting to the necromorphs than you are giving him credit for, especially if we take into account the knife parry from the remake. He has fought enemies where head shots don’t really work that well like the Verdugo and especially the Regenerators/Iron Maidens. In the speed department he has been able to dodge OHK attacks from the Verdugo and Krauser, both being enemies that are as fast as the Necros. Verdugo maybe on par with the Twitchers.
Not if he runs into a wall guardian. That thing uses a hidden bladed tendril to decapitate when someones near by, and Isaac can't even react to it despite reacting to twitchers that could dodge the contact beam(light speed feat).
@@Sci-FiKai Yeah, the thumbnail got me thinking about how RE4 was the start of over the shoulder action shooters and these two guys have pretty similar damage over the years(mental and emotional) Then I thought this needed a Capcom quote that fits this.
If Leon was in Dead Space he would be even smarter to know that if the Head doesn't kill them go for the Limbs. Yet if neither works it's best to slow them down and run. Issac on the other hand is used to knowing the difference of killing a Human and Necromorph except Uber Necromorphs.
I think a more interesting way to swap them is by having them be a native from each other's universes. Leon is a special agent trained with sci-fi weapons sent to investigate the Ishimura. Isaac is just a car mechanic who happens to stumble upon the cult.
Even if Leon had access to all of Isaac’s gear, he doesn’t have the engineering knowledge to upgrade any of it at a bench. The Ishimura is also in a severely damaged state to where simply navigating the ship requires engineering skills to repair critical systems.
Leon should just find the suit he doesn’t have the engineering skills to get some of the “weapons” Isaac gets or mod them without hurting himself plus he’s in space he knows he needs some type of suit, Isaac on the other hand has a limited amount of stasis (what he came with) and a handful of his weapons, the only thing they find in each others worlds is ammo
Isaac has more tools in his kit to work with. Contact Beam and Force gun with all upgrades are op. He has his suit and the physical strength to smack arms and legs off. He's also a genius engineer and his intellect keeps him mostly sane within the DS series. Isaac does not have the same whit, charm, and the looks that Leon has and as such he has to rely on his academic background to impress ladies. Leon has the PRL 412 which auto targets everything and is in most cases is a one shot kill weapon. The rest of his weapons are modern, therefore are held back by limitations of modern tech. His only real protection is a tactical vest, so only his torso has coverage from attacks and isn't as durable as an armored space suit from the future. Leon is more fast and agile and would do better in knife fights while his strength is average for a military character. He has the mindset and the training as well as intellect to withstand the Marker signal but will likely lose his sanity faster than Isaac. Leon has unspoken rizz and can charm most girls with his witty one-liners and cool hair that is never affected by the environment. If Leon wasn't cucking himself for Ada, he would have a lot more sexual experience than Isaac. This wasn't important but it matters for cool endings though.
Crazy to think that i actually came up with this scenario as a kid, like seriously i actually imagined both switching sides for one another's scenario. And the crazy thing was that Leon i actually thought he would just happen to magically be good at dismembering the Necromorphs as if he encountered them b4. This was b4 logic applied to me as a kid. Issac on the other hand i actually, i kid you not, would be able to pull off Leons acrobatics as if he always knew how to back flip. It was a fun as a kid to imagine that and it even makes it even more meaningful that both RE4 and Dead Space got their own remakes, like it feels like everything i loved from both franchises has come full circle
The reason issac would be fine in the village is because Issac as a whole is just a more powerful guy in my opinion not in terms of like martial prowess but in terms of strength
Tbh in my opinion if Leon goes into dead space with his stuff he is cooked, if leon has dead space gear he still loses because he wouldn't know how to properly fix stuff. Isaac wins in RE4 with his gear but without his gear I think he would get to possibly kruaser and be taken out by him.
Yeah I had to be really charitable with Leon that he not only goes insane from the Marker but even when giving him Issac’s equipment I had to be generous and just say he’d figure out how to use it But yeah Issac is probably losing to Krauser or the Laser room without his equipment
Leon is THE top government agent, he can hack advanced facility panels in a matter of seconds, he has repaired a bus engine in second, he knows the in's and outs of all of his weapons, he can perfectly use and maintain weapons he should have never seen, he knows how to fly a commercial plane perfectly, can perfectly fly a helicopter, knows how to make medicine, etc. he will know how to repair what needs repaired.
But the difference is the technological advancement, there could be repairs that he just cant do since he wouldn't have ever seen anything like it at all and half of them require kenesis and stasis to fix them, not to mention the marker will try to sabbotough leon @Midnight_Wesker
I'm just saying, he wouldn't know where to repair things since he wouldn't know where they are at and it will all look alien to him since they barely use wires anymore in deadspace so he wouldn't know what to repair
@@Biohazard145 That's a fair point, but Leon is highly adaptive, even if it looks alien, I think he could manage. I mean the man went to a foreign country and perfectly used weapons he should have never seen, and used high tech lab equipment with no instructions.
Isaac would have an easier time for sure, assuming that they can both find ammo and the resources they need, his gear is so op that he would have little problem against most of the enemies of RE2 and 4. The plasma cutter alone could carry him through but then you account for the contact beam, force gun, line gun and ripper and he’s making a mess of anything that gets in his way. Not to mention his stasis and kenisis modules attached to his armoured suit that appears to enhance his old man strength, I doubt the basic zombies would pose much of a threat to him His biggest problem would be convincing Claire or Ashley that he’s actually trying to help them, Isaac has negative rizz and he is more openly pissed off than Leon which most women find scary
I think you massively underate Leon here. First off, he would have a resistance to the marker. -He is highly intelligent, he has solved dozens of pretty complex puzzles, he can hack advanced security panels in seconds, he can repair a bus engine in seconds, knows the in's and outs of all of his weapons, he can perfectly use weapons he should have never seen before, can perfectly fly a helicopter and commerical plane without any experience, can use scientific tech and machinery with no experience etc. i see absolutely no reason he'd be effected to the point of suicide. We also know he has an extremely strong will, so the visions and hallucinations shouldn't affect him too bad. Second, his skill is really going to help him and was massively underated in the vid. He is an expert martial artist and professional knife fighter who can go toe-to-toe in h2h combat with someone who can point blank dodge bullets. If we include RE6 Leon, he can counter a plethora of attacks. I see no reason he couldn't effortlessly counter nearly every enemy he comes across, including the much stronger ones. In RE6 he can physically stop the charge of a monster that can manhandle and toss a 220+ pound armored human being so hard he cracks the ground. It's unlikely that someone as skilled in combat as Leon would even take a hit, but i guess that's brings us to speed. Third, Leon is extremely and i mean extremely fast. -As said earlier, Leon has fought and beat an enemy who can dodge bullets, i mean that already puts his speed over nearly every enemy in the game, and shows that he could absolutely counter the majority of the enemies. On top of that, in one of his movie showings, he's running at speed of a round 40 mph, even if you don't believe that, he is a peak Superhuman and should at least be reaching speeds in the 20's. If he didn't want to fight, he could absolutely out run the necromorphs including the one sped up by statsis. Fourth, Leon's strength is just completely busted. -Leon can overpower superhumans and destroy superhuman limbs with his physical attacks, Leon can fire a magnum consistently for an indefinite amount of time, Leon can push a 9 ton boulder with help, can push huge dumpsters filled with concrete with help, can push a car with help, Leon can carry huge metal spikes, Leon can pull body parts off Kaiju's, he can perfectly counter and physically stop superhumans, can destroy huge metal locks with a couple of light kicks, and much much more. Even without guns, we see he should be able to handle the majority of the threats with his bare hands. Fifth, his insane durability. -He can tank being hit by a full speed semi in his car, has survived flipping his car full speed, can survive crashing his motorcycle full speed, has survived falling off a cliff in a bus, has survive crashing a helicopter into a building, has survived crashing a commercial plane into a city, has survived knife hits from superhumans, has survived axes to the neck, can survive being stabbed in the gut with a pitch fork, can tank attacks from Kaiju's, can tank rockets, .50 rounds, smg rounds, sniper rounds, grenades, grenade launchers etc. Hell even if he got hit he's probably just walk it off. Sixth, his gear. -He has multiple different fighting knives, has multiple different custom handgun, has multiple different shotguns, has multiple different sub machine guns, has multiple different rifles, has multiple different magnums, has multiple diffrent grenades, and his trusty rocket launcher. His gear is more than qualified for the job seeing as how all of his weapons can take of limbs. Overall Leon S. Kennedy is surviving the events of Dead Space.
I wanna reply to this in detail but due to YT Studio’s annoying reply system that doesn’t allow me to view the full message while responding I’ll just say a lot of his durability/super-human feats I went over in the previous video and in most cases they won’t do anything for him here on top of the fact that is gear is absolutely terrible for dealing with Necromorphs. He consistently got bodied by Mendez who while super-human isn’t that impressive and going for melee combat against a swarm of super human Necro’s is a death sentence. A majority of his weapons won’t take off limbs (which he wouldn’t know to aim for in the first place) and the ones that possibly could are either slow ROF like the Sniper or the shotgun that could only do so at close range which with Necro’s is a death sentence Even if we say he beats every enemy on the Ishimura he has no way of dealing with the Hunter that infinitely regens and while he can run up to 40mph due to the feat in Damnation that’s only full sprint speed, not combat speed and he has to build up to that, and due to stasis giving Necro’s super-human speed they likely have relative or even faster speed. Leon being intelligent also doesn’t mean much since other very intelligent people are influenced by the Marker. At best Leon survives extremely high diff if we’re generous and say he doesn’t get killed by Necro’s or the infinitely regenerating Hunter, blown out into space, or driven mad by the marker and more than likely doesn’t survive at all
@@Sci-FiKai In my experience, what you've said isn't accurate to Leon. His gear is bad for taking on really any threat he faces due to their sheer power. I mean what use is a bullet proof vest if you're launched into a huge pillar so hard it cracks, or what use would it be against hits from building destroying Kaiju's. Most of his resistance is his body's durability, and he would absolutely survive nearly any necro attack. As discussed in Leon's skill, it's entirely possible he doesn't even take a hit. His guns absolutely will take off limbs, it happens often in gameplay, also he has weapons like the riot gun, or Magnum which would mangle a necro. Leon also adapts extremely quickly, it would probably only take one encounter for him to know what to do. Also your overating the regenerator here, not only has Leon fought multiple including the nearly unlikable ones in 6, he has also overcome Tyrants who are completely invulnerable to standard means. He's not struggling with the regenerator, same shit different day. Also Leon has fought and beat bullet dodgers, the Twitchers aren't nearly fast enough to overwhelm Leon. I like you but I have to disagree with this take. Leon is extremely powerful, and is extremely underrated in that regard.
@@Papa_Burton as I said in a different thread, twichers have light speed reaction time due to being able to dodge the contact beam, as beams are by definition light speed. And being launched into a pillar to where it cracks is no where near as impressive as being launched into a building via a rocket chair while hitting your head on pipes and surviving by landing on the ground cracking it apart while nonchalantly shaking it off.
@@Papa_Burton no, Leons durability can't survive every necromorph attack. From basic necromorphs maybe, but not the larger and more advanced necromorphs like the brutes, hivemind, or the brethen moons. Hivemind is large enough to breach the atmosphere and the brethen moons is exactly that, a moon sized necromorph.
leon definitely has the strength , speed , and skill to fight the necros, it’s just a matter of him figuring out that they can’t die by headshots , and of course if he doesn’t have the suit to be in space well then …. But yeah , i think he does fairly well in this situation, and with his training , I definitely think he has the mental capacity to resist going crazy/insane on the ship , and I think his intellect is great enough to figure out things ,especially including computers/tech .
i hate to say it i really do but if were being realistic, leon would die during dead space. See, issac is a survivalist himself like leon so he could deal with re4 just fine, but leon is just a gov. agent; he wouldnt be able to repair the ishumura before it crashed into aegis vii but other than the repair stuff, leon would def survive dead space
I think they'll both survive by the skin of their teeth because they both have mental fortitude and the ability to adapt on the fly on their side. Luckily for Leon, a lot of the gear in Dead Space has instructions written in our current English so I think he could pull it off. Especially if someone lives long enough to shove him into a Space Suit and explain stasis. As for the opposite, guns are so simple that all Issac needs to know is how to disable the safety. And as an engineer I think he'd take one look at the interior of the laser grid room and know something isn't right BEFORE he took a step inside and he'd reroute the power so he wouldn't need to do any fancy flips to escape them.
I would have gone with both protagonist picking up the gear in universe, with Leon picking up weapons and an armor in the Ishimura, and Isaac curb stomping almost everything with his enhanced exo armor, and picking up on modern weapons really easily since he's an engineer

He would find a plasmer cutter and would likely be a security force on the ship tasked to protect the whole crew including the engeneer to retrieve or maybe even bring ishimura back to operational status. He may be no engeneer but he is inteligent in combat tactics and warfare, considering the movies. And if clarke would be in lions world, well, he´s basically a technical jesus since he can repaire spaceships. He would quickly understand all the puzzles and objectives on how what and when what to do and he´d rather overcome obstacles with tech and sciense rather lookin for keyes somewhere around the castle or any other laboratories he might end up with. All in all, I don´t think any of them would be at any big disadvantage other than all of a sudden being sent back in time like clark or being on a spaceship locked in with basically another form of a BOW and also their guns would be slightly confusing. But I do think that Lion might have a hard start since he´s in the future and and the technology might confuse him. Clark on the other hand might have the time of his nerd life.
No mention of Isaac probably being able to make things Maybe he can make his own ammo if he finds a good lab, or just future tech in general with enough time. Him failing at making things would just be a limitation of his tools, but he'd still be able to use basic principles to make things.
Isaac could survive in leons world but leon would fail to progress because of the lack of a gravitation item like what isaac has given hes an engineer in the 26th century and gravity manipulation is a standard issue for engineers
The reason some people resist the marker is due to intellegence, but it's also genetic. In Dead Space lore, the marker is responsible for the evolution of humanity. And with that evolution, some ppl adapted not only a resistance, but outright immunity and even aura of immunity to the marker signal. Which is how in the extraction spin off you and your crew start going insane when lexine leaves the group. Leon was never once affected by the marker even in evolution, so he shouldn't have this resistance realistically.
Saddler tries to get Issac to join Los Illuminados but realizes he's already been brainwashed by another cult (Unitology) and has a villainous hissy fit
They both would probably be screwed if they swapped places. Issac can only resist the Marker for as long as he does because of his insanely high intelligence. The more intelligent someone is, the longer it takes for the Marker signal to affect them. But even Issac wasn’t immune. Though he was the first known human able to completely purge the Marker signal from his mind right before it killed/claimed him too like it has so many before. Leon is no dummy, but he’s not exactly one of the most overqualified and smartest spaceship engineers there has ever been either. Leon would be overwhelmed by the signal relatively quickly like the rest of the 99.9% of any life form would. (Not even just humanity). As for Issac being in RE4, he wouldn’t have access any of the technology he’s so skilled with. No plasma cutter, no armored suits, no stasis. It’s unlikely that he’d be able to understand century old firearms well enough to be able to survive the constant overwhelming odds that Leon overcame in RE4. It’d be like you or me trying to learn how a musket works in the middle of a hoard of Ganados all trying to collectively “dice you up into mincemeat” as they keep saying. But even if he did, he still would’ve been overwhelmed in one of the later parts in the castle and especially the island. Though, I can’t help but wonder how it would play out if Issac was infected with Las Plagas after already being doomed by the Marker signal. Would the parasite be affected by the signal? Would he still turn into a Ganado?
2:20 topic Lets just say that Issac and others on the ishimera have the potential to be more intelligent than the others around them or they have more resistance to mind control like how Batman does with martian-man Hunter in DC
I think a closer match would actually be Issac Clark vs Jacob Lee from Callisto Protocol, considering both have very powerful tools, Issac has his stasis that slows his enemies and Jacob has the GRP that is basically the force and is pretty broken when fully upgraded. So I think it'd be interesting!
While Leon’s military training may cause him to habitually aim for the torso and head, I think he’s faced enough enemies with unusual weak points to be able to adapt to killing necromorphs, provided he is careful with his aim and can hit his shots consistently.
Honestly, give Leon the Plasma Cutter, knowledge of the fact he needs to aim for the limbs, and the armor-suit Isaac wears, and he'd have an easier time than Isaac combat-wise. Not so much when having to fix the Ishimura, but still. And if Isaac didn't have his armor and weapons and stuff, and was just given Leon's gear, he'd have a much harder time. Still, I do agree he'd have a good chance of surviving still.
Umbrella PMC thanks you for your contribution to the Truth(tm), and will keep fighting to keep you all safe. All is one, one is all. We are already whole.
We all know the merchant would somehow be on the Ishimura too and be perfectly fine and not at all bothered by the Necromorphs in any way and will most importantly never explain how or why. Also if we consider keeping ashley safe as a win condition for Issac then he's fucked as we all know any normal person near him will die a horrible death or betray him and then die a horrible death.
Leon can't breathe in space, he wouldn't be able to get through those sections and issac wouldn't be able to find ammo for his gear but luckily he'll find the merchant and sell him weapons
Honestly, I think your "boring answer" (each character would become the other) is the most likely outcome; especially in Leon's case. Modern soldiers are taught to be adaptable if separated from their command structure; especially special forces (which Leon essentially is, for all intents and purposes; you don't call in a rando grunt to rescue the daughter of the president). Provided he has basic enough technological literacy to understand the bare bones basics of Issac's kit, Leon's greatest struggle would be against the Marker's influence.
I have to say I think Leon's melee capabilities are being underestimated. Isaac's got a stomp and a punch and they decimate necromorphs. Leon has... well a whole lot more than that. Not to mention a whole lot of dodging capability.
Leon couldn't make it on the Ishimura, the thing is happening 5 whole centuries later with technology miles ahead. And there's no way he could have repaired the ship the way Isaac did. I mean the dude his a space ship engineer commun lol and Isaac couldn't survive for shit in most boss battle taking place in RE neither. Good luck against Krauser he just doesnt have it
How I would see them being swapped is them as they start the game. So Issac would still have his suit and plasma cutter but eventually would just be using RE4 weapons. Same with Leon being in his gear and pistol/knife but finding the other Dead Space weapons. I think Leon would fair a better chance if he found the plasma weapons while Issac would have an even easier time than he already does with just RE4 gear and weapons. (Edit) But Neither would know why they're there so Issac wouldn't know he's there to protect and save the Presidents daughter and Leon wouldn't know about how damaged the ship is.
My theory is that Issac is mentally strong enough to not turn insane fully but mentally weak enough to still be used as a puppet by the marker with hallucinations of people contacting him, asking him to do something, it fucked him and the others over, the real one's scold Issac for doing said thing etc repeat
Leon may be a better fighter but his brain is not wired like Isaac's and he would most likely succumb to the Marker's influence. On top of this Isaac spends most of DS1 trying to keep the Ishimura from being torn apart, he's only able to do this due to his extensive knowledge and experience (it's literally his job to fix ships like this). Leon just doesn't have the knowledge and experience to prevent all the shit that was happening to the Ishimura (it needed to be refueled, needed to have it's asteroid defense systems turned back on, communications needed to be completely repaired, the trams needed to be repaired, life support needed to be fixed, the centrifuge needed to be fixed or the ship would have been pulled out of orbit). Isaac was hyper motivated and incredibly specialized to deal with the Ishimura and he still went completely insane in the process.
Leon would become aware of necromorph weakness as when fighting boss and mini bosses in resident evil everyone of them had their weak points like Mendez back, garrador back plaga and same with el giante and regenredor and iron maiden plagas on bodies he sees with thermal scope and lastly saddler has eyes poped up in some places as weak spots and there was a writting on the wall written with blood cut off their limbs leon would know, his shotguns and snipers can dismember necro limbs his riot gun and striker are fast firing shotguns for brute he can use minethrower and his flash grenades would help him alot if leon gets his PRL gun it has self flash grenade machanism and it has surgical lasers that would help him alot i think but one thing that would give him hard time is the marker it is never explained how are Issac and Ellie are immune to its manipulation maybe the are strong minded, strong will, determination if those are the qualities leon also showed little bit of resistance to plaga control then leon has a chance if not then leon is doomed marker mind fks people and make them hellucinate Isaac would cake walk with his armour without his armour he can face some problems he will be glass cannon but Leon would definitely have tough time
You dont get immunity to the markers effects. The marker chooses who to imprint with the schematics to make more markers, more markers mean more necromorphs, more convergences, more brother moons. The reason engineers are "immune" is because the marker knows they can build more markers. Not necessarily becasue they're smart. And also Isaac does go insane in ds2. His willpower is how he over came the marker and destroyed it.
I more-so meant certain people have much higher resistances (poor wording on my part) Ellie for example hasn’t gone insane and while Issac was on the verge in 2 he was still able to stave it off
Leon will survive just fine. There are several of those unused engineering suits which he can wear to survive vaccum. With respect to weapons, both of them need to adopt to their environments excpt for Leons combat knife.

I'm gonna give Leon the benefit and say hes intelligent enough to find a space suit. Along with targeting whatever weak points he can exploit. It would be rough but he would barely make it.
Leon arrives on Ishimura: “where’d everyone go? bingo?”
Intelligence is a factor in how long it takes to go insane from the marker signal, but Isaac specifically is an engineer, and his mind interprets the marker signal as blueprints and codes as opposed to just mind numbing noise.
Meaning ppl around here were also immune to the signal, but only as long as they were in her presence.

i think it would be like Leon's 3.5 counter part. hallucinations and such like the hook man versions.
@@LeaderOfTheLostSoulsno one said it’s easy. Just giving Leon equal plot armor here.

I don't think Isaac without his suit and gear would survive and imma tell you why
If we're to actually take into of the scenarios of both games then that would mean that Isaac would have to do nearly everything Leon does which would include Del Lago, fighting Krauser, the hole Leon fell in, the lazer room, and also other BOW's that can still function even when decapitated. Isaac may have fought Necromorphs but that doesn't mean much when a lot of BOW's in Resident Evil can transform even after taking a lot of damage making Isaac a sitting duck. So Isaac without all of his equipment would definitely have a far harder time than Leon
With his equipment and other stuff it'd be the equivalent of dropping the Doomslayer in the Dark Souls universe
I don’t think Del Lago would be much more difficult for him than it was for Leon, after all it’s pretty much just standing in one place throwing harpoons
Krauser would absolutely be the biggest roadblock especially since he likes to fight hand to hand. He’s definitely the biggest road block and I think that fight determines whether or not he ends up surviving.
I believe Leon used a grapple gun to save himself from the fall which if we’re giving Issac his equipment he could do. The laser room is also highly debatable and I can see Issac dying there
BOW’s being able to transform I don’t think is much of a big deal.
Tho if we're going by the OG Resident Evil 4 then Isaac is definitely not surviving the laser room and hole without his stuff

I do feel leon is being slightly underestimated.
One thing about Leon is his ability to adapt on the fly.
But here’s my take
Leon w/ his own weapons: Leon would probably get almost killed by the first necromorph he ran into but would figure out quickly that his weapons are not very effective.
Leon would submit to the Marker the instant it promised him Ada.
Nah. Leon ain't no simp.
@@SympatheticStrawmanVA it can't make him hallucinate ada because both the games and books makes the implication that the marker can only make you hallucinate ppl who have died.

Isaac is gonna have the time of his life
I think a more interesting way to swap them is by having them be a native from each other's universes. Leon is a special agent trained with sci-fi weapons sent to investigate the Ishimura. Isaac is just a car mechanic who happens to stumble upon the cult.
Leon has no spacesuit.
He'd be gone in seconds 😮
*sees the thumbnail*
Me: aw hell yeah, my kind of video
In short leon has a very low chance of living and Issac has a field day
Leon: Unlimited Ammo RPG
Isaac: *“ Bang Bang “ “ Pew Pew “*
Even if Leon had access to all of Isaac’s gear, he doesn’t have the engineering knowledge to upgrade any of it at a bench.
The Ishimura is also in a severely damaged state to where simply navigating the ship requires engineering skills to repair critical systems.
(Necromorths entering vent to run away)
Leon: Where did everyone go? Bingo?
These videos should be a case study on how to properly compare and contrast two badasses. It helps that dead space was directly inspired by re4.
3:43
Leon and hallucinations, my beloved (im obsessed with re3.5)
Leon should just find the suit he doesn’t have the engineering skills to get some of the “weapons” Isaac gets or mod them without hurting himself plus he’s in space he knows he needs some type of suit, Isaac on the other hand has a limited amount of stasis (what he came with) and a handful of his weapons, the only thing they find in each others worlds is ammo
I wanted to be charitable with Leon since I knew he was already at such a disadvantage in a majority of situations
I think Leon and Isaac should also swap gear because thats modern day weaponry vs scifi laser beams. Its not really a fair comparison
No worries I do that in the vid 🙏
Yeah I had to be really charitable with Leon that he not only goes insane from the Marker but even when giving him Issac’s equipment I had to be generous and just say he’d figure out how to use it
But yeah Issac is probably losing to Krauser or the Laser room without his equipment
Not to mention his stasis and kenisis modules attached to his armoured suit that appears to enhance his old man strength, I doubt the basic zombies would pose much of a threat to him
His biggest problem would be convincing Claire or Ashley that he’s actually trying to help them, Isaac has negative rizz and he is more openly pissed off than Leon which most women find scary
I wanna reply to this in detail but due to YT Studio’s annoying reply system that doesn’t allow me to view the full message while responding
I’ll just say a lot of his durability/super-human feats I went over in the previous video and in most cases they won’t do anything for him here on top of the fact that is gear is absolutely terrible for dealing with Necromorphs. He consistently got bodied by Mendez who while super-human isn’t that impressive and going for melee combat against a swarm of super human Necro’s is a death sentence.
A majority of his weapons won’t take off limbs (which he wouldn’t know to aim for in the first place) and the ones that possibly could are either slow ROF like the Sniper or the shotgun that could only do so at close range which with Necro’s is a death sentence
Even if we say he beats every enemy on the Ishimura he has no way of dealing with the Hunter that infinitely regens and while he can run up to 40mph due to the feat in Damnation that’s only full sprint speed, not combat speed and he has to build up to that, and due to stasis giving Necro’s super-human speed they likely have relative or even faster speed.
Leon being intelligent also doesn’t mean much since other very intelligent people are influenced by the Marker.
At best Leon survives extremely high diff if we’re generous and say he doesn’t get killed by Necro’s or the infinitely regenerating Hunter, blown out into space, or driven mad by the marker and more than likely doesn’t survive at all
I'll also add, in one RE movie he straight up catches a rocket fired by nemesis mid flight like a fucking football. Leon isn't human atp
I think they'd both adapt to each other's situations quite well.
Considering that Leon isn't an engineer I'd say he's screwed.
i hate to say it i really do but if were being realistic, leon would die during dead space. See, issac is a survivalist himself like leon so he could deal with re4 just fine, but leon is just a gov. agent; he wouldnt be able to repair the ishumura before it crashed into aegis vii but other than the repair stuff, leon would def survive dead space
Leon shooting a necromorph in the head: “What the-“
Dead Space is Resident Evil in space
Would Gordon freeman survive the events of resident evil 4? and would leon survive the events of half-life 2?
This is a cool idea but I gotta get around to playing Half Life first 👀
@@Sci-FiKai You should do it. Both games are great fun
I would have gone with both protagonist picking up the gear in universe, with Leon picking up weapons and an armor in the Ishimura, and Isaac curb stomping almost everything with his enhanced exo armor, and picking up on modern weapons really easily since he's an engineer

Fuckin real 💀
I think it’s safe to say that Isaac would fit kind of perfectly within Resident Evil
I would say lions tactical experience in general with BOW and human enemies would actually give him an edge there, simply because actually did survive all of these encounters from RE1 through RE6.
No mention of Isaac probably being able to make things
Maybe he can make his own ammo if he finds a good lab, or just future tech in general with enough time.
Whoever has the future space technology wins. 😂
2:20 topic
Lets just say that Issac and others on the ishimera have the potential to be more intelligent than the others around them or they have more resistance to mind control like how Batman does with martian-man Hunter in DC
would Joel from The Last of Us survive RE4?
leon would be dead and isaac would be glad that something just dies without need to be dismembered
@@khoseftadros2775 Isaac curb stomps Jacob. Lmao
@@xxprototypexx5056 I overall agree, I just think it’s a closer match than Leon considering the tech is all
@@khoseftadros2775 I get it, but Leon vs Isaac is still a decent match up due to dead space being inspired by RE4.
You know what I want to see? What if the characters from Resident Evil and the original Ultimis crew from Call of Duty Zombies swapped places?
Let’s see Leon rewire a stasis unit from memory.
He’s toast.
well against the brute it's not sneaking up on him, plus the brute is closer to el gigante
All weapons+inf ammo then the inf rpg is allowed
Do Frank West in either dead space or resident evil, give him prior knowledge and I wanna see how well is ability to make stuff would take him lol
Leon has masters in Rizzitry
True idk if the marker could handle that
Leon may be a better fighter but his brain is not wired like Isaac's and he would most likely succumb to the Marker's influence.
Leon would become aware of necromorph weakness as when fighting boss and mini bosses in resident evil everyone of them had their weak points like Mendez back, garrador back plaga and same with el giante and regenredor and iron maiden plagas on bodies he sees with thermal scope and lastly saddler has eyes poped up in some places as weak spots and there was a writting on the wall written with blood cut off their limbs leon would know, his shotguns and snipers can dismember necro limbs his riot gun and striker are fast firing shotguns for brute he can use minethrower and his flash grenades would help him alot if leon gets his PRL gun it has self flash grenade machanism and it has surgical lasers that would help him alot i think but one thing that would give him hard time is the marker it is never explained how are Issac and Ellie are immune to its manipulation maybe the are strong minded, strong will, determination if those are the qualities leon also showed little bit of resistance to plaga control then leon has a chance if not then leon is doomed marker mind fks people and make them hellucinate
Isaac would cake walk with his armour without his armour he can face some problems he will be glass cannon but Leon would definitely have tough time
But basically this comes down to who's weapons works better against the others enemies
i'd actually argue that RE2 remake works EXACTLY like Dead Space does, where it is smarter to go for limb shots, so you can finish with the knife.
I more-so meant certain people have much higher resistances (poor wording on my part)
Ellie for example hasn’t gone insane and while Issac was on the verge in 2 he was still able to stave it off
Leon will survive just fine. There are several of those unused engineering suits which he can wear to survive vaccum. With respect to weapons, both of them need to adopt to their environments excpt for Leons combat knife.
Darth Vader would end the zombie apocalypse all by himself.
