@@exzobree9158 Cuz the remake set up a more serious theme compare to the OG. Although Saddler isn't as fun like he used to be but we finally got some lore about him. People tend to forget he was the big bad of RE4
"Where's everyone going? Bingo?" Leon says after having a near-death encounter fighting an entire village, blocking a chainsaw with a knife and getting run over by a flaming cow.
Some people say he was too goofy in this game but you gotta remember RE4 is an intense nerve wracking experience for the first time player. You need some goofy shit to let people relax
A healthy dose of comedy always works well alongside any genre of fiction. RE4 serves as a self aware parody of campy/over the top horror films so I think it actually benefits from it. (Saddler even references this in his final encounter with Leon)
This is so true. The chainsaw man used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid and now that I'm older, it doesn't bother me as much but the comedy definitely doesn't take away from how scary certain parts of the game can be. Coming here from watching one episode of playthrough of the remake make me think that remake Leon seems more depressed and traumatised and is trying to cope with it. The OG RE4 Leon seems like he eats trauma and PTSD for breakfast and savours em just for the fun of it. 😂😂😂
Remake Leon is like an emo teenager going through puberty who doesn't want to do his homework. Like, he doesn't sound like he went through all those grueling years of training he keeps complaining about

I know the remake is going for a more realistic and visceral tone but OG Leon has such chad energy he is so cool not saying Remake Leon is bad or anything is just OG is just that guy.
Leon went from rookie cop in a viral outbreak to the most dangerous/hilarious thing against BOWs. Paul really made this game even better from the already great gameplay. Which is why it's a masterpiece.😁
Look at the real Leon Kennedy. Paul Mercier. Not only he voiced Leon but also Merchant. To this day, Mercier wasn't topped by the new Leon in remake, even Ashley knows he's boring and that's coming from her lol
A thing i really like about DMC1 Dante and RE4 Leon is how little swearing there is from them, just makes them cooler in my eyes. These days protagonists throw f-bombs left and right and just feels forced and ''cringe''
He has a real distinctive look to him, yeah. A character design. New Leon is obviously a handsome dude but in comparison he just looks some 'some guy'.
Had they made the remake like the original it would have just been cringy. Just accept that the newer one is more realistic. Man people like you are annoying, holding on to outdated stuff that just wouldn't be good nowadays... Chronically online mf

and paul hadad too.

@@032_m.alfathcirrus5 oh yeah it would have gone hard

Man, it would've gone more than hard. It would've gone *BASED*.
We would've had the freedom to laugh at women and say the n word with hard R.
A sigma Leon
I played this game when I was a teenager and 18yrs later, it's even better and witier than I remember it. Aged like fine wine.
Coming here from watching one episode of playthrough of the remake make me think that remake Leon seems more depressed and traumatised and is trying to cope with it.
The OG RE4 Leon seems like he eats trauma and PTSD for breakfast and savours em just for the fun of it. 😂😂😂
Over dramatization ruins media.
I like both honestly. People need to stop clinging so much to the OG
Remake Leon is like an emo teenager going through puberty who doesn't want to do his homework. Like, he doesn't sound like he went through all those grueling years of training he keeps complaining about
@@raaaaawrbin I actually like it better. He sounds more depressed and traumatized because of his experience in Racoon City unlike the og where he is a bit too positive about everything. And the training is showing? Through the way he fights?
@@Brother_O4TS His main pain point for being so emo in remake is the tough training he went through after being forced to work for the president, not Racoon City.
The disgruntledness is childish and he keeps sounding like he hasn't done enough cardio when you run a bit and can't handle a bit of dust in his eye when the wind blows
It's up to you if you like remake Leon better, people here are just pointing out the fact that it's an entirely different character
I know the remake is going for a more realistic and visceral tone but OG Leon has such chad energy he is so cool not saying Remake Leon is bad or anything is just OG is just that guy.
Old re4: Leon Chad Kennedy
OG Leon : chad
Meanwhile in other universe (remake) : PTSD
After watching the whole remake, I'm still convinced that this is just the alter ego of Leon being comedy gold in the original
Leon: this is a certified senior moment
His re4 old lines are so funny
4:02 there is absolute no way to perfect this sequence
Remember what they took from us
RETURN
Reject modernity embrace tradition
Holy shit. Just imagine what could have been. I like the serious tone of the remake, but man, we were robbed of some comedy gold.
I can't wait for the "hasta luego" in remake
Be happy it is coming back
@@yasserarres236 yeah Men, now i'm happy
Leon went from rookie cop in a viral outbreak to the most dangerous/hilarious thing against BOWs. Paul really made this game even better from the already great gameplay. Which is why it's a masterpiece.😁
I am so disappointed that they didnt keep those lines in RE4 REMAKE
they did on trophy names, like small time and no thanks bro...
this leon is a masterpiece
This is why the OG will always be king 😂
Oh thank you for this! Leons random corny sarcasm never gets old 😂🤣😂♥️
I love how as the game goes on, Salazar starts acting more and more like and angry Xbox kid. I fucking love it.
An option came up for trying out TH-cam premium as I clicked on this video. Leons first line in this video sums up my choice pretty well.
Lmfao 😂 😂 😂
The OG Leon was having a blast while taking on the endeavor of rescuing Ashley.
6:44 is the funniest fucking line of them all 😂
Look at the real Leon Kennedy. Paul Mercier. Not only he voiced Leon but also Merchant. To this day, Mercier wasn't topped by the new Leon in remake, even Ashley knows he's boring and that's coming from her lol
Such an irony LMAO
Og leon is such a gem
OG Leon is the GOAT
5:31 is so funny when you just dont do the qte the way leon just die ahah
I like how pissed Salazar is with leon😂
leon is witty in a dark and scary world.
5:40 That was the most Shirou Emiya thing I've ever heard.
Ganados die when he kills them
5:46-5:55 now I see where Leon looking at 😂😂😂😂😂
and i'm pretty sure she only did that because it's leon. ada don't mind showing leon some skin.
She was asking for it lmao Ada knows what she’s doing, I’d be looking too. 😂
@@hijackedmemes6988 Ada puckers up and closes her eyes for a kiss for a sec in that cutscene where he chokes her lol
"Gee Leon because of you my mom is DEAD"
"She was dying to see me"
"OH FOR FFS LEON"
Old RE Leon is an absolute legends, nothing can change my mind on that.
A thing i really like about DMC1 Dante and RE4 Leon is how little swearing there is from them, just makes them cooler in my eyes. These days protagonists throw f-bombs left and right and just feels forced and ''cringe''
Leon looks way better here than in the new mastered one.
He has a real distinctive look to him, yeah. A character design. New Leon is obviously a handsome dude but in comparison he just looks some 'some guy'.
og leon is hot
The Virgin Edgy Remake vs the Chad Original Resident Evil 4
Had they made the remake like the original it would have just been cringy. Just accept that the newer one is more realistic. Man people like you are annoying, holding on to outdated stuff that just wouldn't be good nowadays...
Chronically online mf
Remake's not even out yet. If you want the same game then just play the original
I don't think being the type of guy that hooks up with Marilyns, !areies Jackies, and have everyone in between and neither fawn over him is in the metaphorical sense a virgin my bro😊
Edit: Let's not forget all the straight dudes he probably turned gay either 😝 he sure made a lot of people question their sexuality.
Leon Sigma male Kennedy.
There internet, I've sucked the metaphorical ba*** of your beloved Chad, now gimme likes! 🤣🤣😎
@@Elias6233 that's a joke
@@renren47618 i am the Omega you cannot kill me
I hope the flirting with Hunnigan is still there in the Remake. Leon really said to Ashley who was trying to score to him that Ada is like a part of him he can't let go 😍then flirts with Hunnigan cuz Ada left him again 😭
Sadly, I feel like Hunnigan's dialogue was reduced by a whole lot in the remake.
