Best guy for BMW repair in Europ for sure.. Only best ones always clean before replacing part, put parts on cloth watch to dont scratch tham and if peaces and some dirt fall on floor you swipe it and clean right away... Those things only best of the best do. And your knowledge is equal to engineers in BMW factory...., you are the best.. Regards from Croatia.

So if de mileage from de secondhand new cluster is lower than your own car, the cluster will import the mileage from the car and you’ll only need to change the VIN?

Well in your case they have done even the CAS module, or they have mounted an emulator.

Is it possible to retrofit Mcluster to non M car to show mHuD rpm in HUD? I coded mhud active through bimmer code it shows options for mhud but unable to select in idrive, so the only thing i see is the speed and other hud functions except the rpm animation. I was told needed an actual mcluster and emulator. If you have time to explain if its possible id be forever grateful thank you I subscribed to your channel for inspiration and to further my understanding of coding.
One last thought if all is possible without using an actual Mhud could this be solved with remote coding if so id be very interested with your help!

There is no need to change the VIN number in the firmware, you can simply write it in the necessary memory bits FFFFFFF and cluster will read VIN from over ECUs

Is it always necessary to desolder the memory chip and alter the VIN? Or would the FFFFFFF string remove this requirement? Amazing video, thank you!
@@emiliobuono The memory chip is desoldered for convenient operation and it may not be possible to connect it to the programmer without soldering. The FFFFFFF recording is made AFTER desoldering and connecting to the programmer. You can write FFFFFFF, or you can write VIN numbers
Hi. I had mine coded however I have relished the gear indicator in the cluster is missing. It usually displays D,N,P etc. it has arrows instead. The cluster things it’s on manual set up

Hello Sir will this project work i have a prrface 2021 bmw x3 G01 2.0d i bought a full led cluster from 2022 bmw x3 LCI a( donor) car same same engine,do i need to change the vin amd code the donor cluster?
Is swapping the eeprom from my car into the donor cluster possible ?

You need to buy a new cluster, I don't know if there are tools that can do that cluster .

After zeroing and coding, the point disappeared, but the mileage increased by 200-300 km and after each ignition is turned on, +5 kilometers are added to the mileage. Why might this be so?
Damaged eeprom or incorrect procedure for "virginized " or incorrect coding
I think the seller tried to test your ability over their (rubbish try..) to virginate the instrument cluster...👀

Great job buddy!.... I was wondering if maybe you had some time so I can get your thoughts on an issue I have with my 08 550i. My gear selector won't light up green indicator, won't come out of parking, I have blue box around EGS modual on ista D. I just received ICOM 2 but I never used it before and sorta new to it
See on my videos I have posted one how to reprogram with istaP. but be aware it can fail in the writing process you can't control that ...
@M.Ovidiu yeah I understand. The thing is I had done the sat conversion around this time last year and everything coded great. August this year I remember I was running ista p for the sat modual and it ended up coding the car after that the steering wheel the S on the kombi, it went away. So I was in the middle of winkfp doing the egs coding and I wasn't paying attention I was arguing with my girl and I pushed something... after that the gear shifter blinked a few times and never came back on. The battery also went dead and so I eneded up with programming abort on EGS.
Did you do that to both chips or only one?
besides the tamper dot what happens if you don't change mileage n vin and code on the new cluster??
If you don't change the miles you will have the tamper dot withnes and if the "new " cluster have more mules than the vehicle , the vehicle will import the higher mileage, can go un not down! Also, you will lose all the CBS data and can not reset set new services ! Lastly, if you don't code it, some functions won't work like cruise control and so on

@mrO, why did you use HhD software, instead of the R270+ software for the VIN change? I’ve tried using the R270+ one but can’t change the VIN. It’s my first few attempts so still learning but I thought I should ask before trying to buy another product. Thanks

Hello! I don't know what it is ! I suspect that there is a big difference in software levels between modules, so you need to update the software level in the modules or entire car..

Hello! Yes, you can add the vin if you have the car on hand or can make the vin with FF FF (blank) and after that can mount the cluster on any car!

Hi, Ovi. I'm planning to retrofit a navigation display/speedometer into my Mini R56 2010. Do you have any information on which cluster is storing the milage information (if I need to consider it at all)? Is it the small RPM counter or the big speedometer? I found confusing information in forums and want to avoid that the car takes over the milage from the used cluster...

Anyone got a closeup picture of a f10 Cluster on the inside with the dial LED positions? Didnt take a picture and cant get them to work
Interesting stuff. I've done this for e60/61 and e39 clusters. I got hold of a clip that meant I didn't need to de-solder the memory ic, unless I had to replace it. It saved some time from having to disturb the soldering. Thanks for sharing. I wonder if these 6wa or 6wb clusters would work in a e60/e61 (535d specifically)? They look great!

@@franktrivoluzzi6202 it's a clamp that connects yo all the legs on the chip without having to desolder it. Most programmer sellers would sell them...

I had this work completed on my bmw F11. The only issue is that the gear display on the has disappeared. It usually showed N P D R etc

Can you WRITE and DECODE with this cheap tool another chip where the mileage is? Because even VVDI2 or CGPRO can't do this, its very difficult
The memory is protected you can't manipulate the mileage, no matter what toll you use, for mileage manipulation need to replace the memory with a clone one that isn't protected.

Yes but! depending off the HW of cluster you will need to replace the memory chip!

When the cluster is not virginized, besides the red dot, is normal that the mileage done after the coding, is not storage?
I mean, I coded the cluster and went for a short test drive (9kms) and then parked the car. When I came back, the mileage went back to de mileage that the car had when I did coding

Hello! if you leave the dot there you won't be able to reset any service in your navigation! and every time you will have messages about that!

Hello, you need to do a complete diagnosis starting by scanning with istaD.

This is not the right way to renew or clone isn number but it works Virginize is just like erase all information for the new donors part that way the car doesn’t detect any isn password and make the transmission to run as normal
Hello Manuel! ISN = Internal Security Number is stored only in DME/DDE in CAS/BDC and in EGS, not in cluster . If you use a used cluster widout erasing the old VIN number, the car will work normally! You will lose the CBS data ( service intervals) miles ( tamper dot on as a witness), absolutely no connection with the transmissions! The only informan sent by the cluster in transmissions is abouth the exterior temperature in older models and alive signal for gear selector position ! Do you know something different?

I have one question for you. In my F20 I upgraded the basic steering wheel with a MFSW, but my cruise control don't work, I have to swap to a new cluster with cruise control option. Can I just change the eeprom from the original cluster to the donor one?

Salut, nu e posibil , in memoria eeprom nu e stocata doar seria de caroserie, are toate setarile de butare a procesorului .
