  • Hello Everyone, this is an additional info from the first Single Lift video I did a few months back. I did miss a few items but I really needed to to add the movement the vehicle has while it's on the lift when trying to loosen or tighten a bolt/nut by hand. Hope this helps out if your in the market for one.

I've had mine since 2018 and paid $2513 for it including tax. Today they're over $5K. Have had zero problems with mine but agree the center beam is very stressed and bends under load. I always use a HF 60759 underhoist stand under the front outboard leg which nicely stabilizes things. Two stands would be better for peace of mind and mitigates bending forces applied to the center beam. My floor is smooth but uneven. I add steel shims under the legs as necessary and do a rocking check with the car just off the floor.

Yes, I also use an underhoist stand under the main beam. I can’t believe the prices on these things today. Thank goodness I bought mine a few years back.

That movement always did sketch me out, but you've been underneath that thing enough to make me feel pretty comfortable with it. Probably wouldn't hurt to anchor it to the concrete though :)

It’s not the center column that moves, it’s the grey section that with the arms that moves. 👍

Have you pulled an awd or rwd transmissions while on one of these lifts ? Is it do able or is the cross beam in the way?

I have not removed an AWD transmissions on this lift but have removed many regular 6spd RWD transmissions. The cross beam makes it a pain to remove a complete exhaust system on cars.

The only thing i would mention would be it might be possible to buy/make some tall jackstands just as a backup or to lower the car onto when torquing bolts up

Yeah, I have something like that now. It does help.

Would you still recommend? And what’s the distance from the Dolly wheels to where the inboard arm is attached? I want to know if I have enough room to tuck it up against my side wall and have the column not stick out too far.

If you are in the same situation as me with lack of floor space & roof height then it’s a good lift to have. A few things tho, the center beam does get in the way from remove an exhaust system and I use wood to drive on so the bottom of the car does not hit the section you drive over. The measure from the caster wheel to inside section of the arm is 33”. That’s with the wheel turned to give a little more room to move closer to the wall. Hope that helps out.

@@tekmotorsports4052 thanks man. Awesome content. I measured and it’s gonna be close already, and doubt I can get it that close to wall.

@@unfilteredjamaican3478 Sorry to hear that. Even if you remove the wheel it’ll only get you about 1”-2” more clearance and it sounds like you my need a little more.
