    That thing is cool. A friend of mine has one in his home shop and its really awesome not having it bolted in one spot.

    Hi all, I've just received my lift from automotech here in the UK. I get a bit of wobble when my car is on the ramp. Its a V8 so perhaps a little less balanced than the car you had on the ramp.

    • @ShoreGarage
      @ShoreGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Richard Grant it all depends on the weight. We don’t put more then 5,700 lb on the lift.

      What is the overall height with the pallet lift up so it can be wheeled around as I an considering buying one but only have 2 metre high door access.

      Raymond Nottingham I am not entirely sure to be honest. How ever I am going to say about 8 foot 3-5 inches.

    Hi. Love your video. I have had portable scissor hoists and they are great too. Please be careful when working on pavement... especially when the sun is out. If the caster on the furthest part of the lifting mechanism away from the post is sitting on pavement, I could certainly see it sinking in the pavement and potentially make the lifted car un-level leading to who knows what kind of safety issues. Be careful and enjoy your hoist!

      @ShoreGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes in fact we no longer work on the black top with it anymore because of that very reason.

    Thanks for posting this - I'm thinking of buying pretty much the same thing here in the UK and it's great to see it in action. Are you still enjoying the lift without any problems?

      Simon Reeves you’re welcome and very much so, it’s a good one! And haven’t had any problems with it yet!

    The only real downside is that they cost basically as much as a two post.

    I just missed out on one of these on Craigslist. Guy bought it new, used it 5-6 times at his home, and didn't think it's was worth having. Sold in a day for $1300. I was bummed.

    • @ShoreGarage
      @ShoreGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sho'Nuff, The Showgun of Harlem wow that’s a bummer you couldn’t snatch that up! His one was about double that price but that’s only due to I have a business account for the people we bought it through and we got it about 8-900$ cheaper that retail.

    Any tips or idea of delivery assembly without a fork lift? Is two people enough to lift the clumn? Dont have one at the shop and it seems a bit impossible haha Thank you!

    • @ShoreGarage
      @ShoreGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Al U yes there are other ways. You can also use an engine hoist to get it out of the truck. How ever this unit in packaging weighed 1800 pounds so if you use an engine hoist I believe a portable gantry would be the safest way to do so!
