Now that's a pencil I've got to have. I can't believe I don't already have some in my collection. They seem similar to the bare wood Musgrave pencils released in bulk boxes a few years back.
Thanks for another enjoyable review!
Hi MAMO - yes, I believe you would fancy these pencils. They do remind me of the bare wood Musgraves, but I think the wood used here is a step up from those pencils. Thanks!
Great video. Yup, I'm not surprised about the dark tone since it's made by the same folks who make the smooth and dark USA Gold. It's certainly a loud pencil, but I'd take it over the modern Ticonderoga anyday.
Hi Anthropod - I agree. These beat the average Ticonderoga in my book. Thanks!
Hi, Kevin! I like a pencil that allows me to hear and feel the resistance on the page. I'm glad to see that Amazon has them, so they are now on my wish list! Thanks for sharing them with us. Have a wonderful day, Kevin!!
Thanks so much, Nancy! The scratch can be a soothing sound of creating something!
As a huge fan of Musgrave, I often overlook their neighbors here. I love natural wood pencils, so I’ll have to check this one out.
Hope you try these, testinguk!
Really been enjoying the Musgrave natural #2's I bought a while back. Affordable and good quality. Where do you buy Moon pencils these days? Other than the USA Gold I don't see them readily available.
Hi RBS - those Musgrave naturals are nice pencils. I got these Moon pencils on Amazon. Thanks!
Great video! I probably missed it, but do you have a go-to pencil when you’re writing? Thanks and all the best!
Thanks, Dismayy! There are so many good pencils in my daily pencil cup. Current favorites include the Musgrave Tennessee Round and Mitsubishi 9000. Thanks!
Great video as alwaysanalog!
I recently purchased the same pack of these pencils. I believe they're the cheapest cedar pencils on the market. Are there any cheaper options? I'm aware of USA Gold and Titanium, but the ones I bought aren't made of cedar.
Thank you! I think these are among the least expensive cedar pencils I've found. Thanks!
I've been wanting some ceder pencils. These would definitely work. Do you ever sharpen with a knife. To me, it's the only way to have good experience. Well, I like some hand crank sharpeners, but mostly I use my knife. I can make the point as long as I want and the core is always evenly exposed. Awesome video, as always!
Thanks, stillwaters! While I'm pretty good with a knife in the kitchen, elsewhere I'm not and it usually ends up with me needing medical attention! I've seen a lot of hand sharpened pencils and it is a great option if you are comfortable and good with a blade. Thanks!
Amazon has a bare wood pencil called Amazon Aware, which I believe are made out of recycled materials. Also kum makes a long point metal sharpener if you haven't tried it out.
Hi Josh - I've seen the Amazon bare wood pencils. I think I like these more. The Kum sharpener is good! Thanks!
@@AlwaysAnalogI've ordered the 60 count Musgrave and the America's Finest, and I'll probably be ordering these soon. I'm not sure if you've done it, but can you do a video on your favorite pencils? Favorite hex, round, bare, that would be a good one. Or any paper reviews? Best legal pads etc. can't wait to see more
I prefer a pencil that doesn't scratch but does have slight tactile feedback, a similar reason I prefer Cherry MX Brown keyboards. I've noticed some poorly made pencils will scratch but some will have an unpleasant waxy smoothness, similar to trying to write with a mechanical pencil on smoother paper (no texture). Of course, typical school paper, which is usually on the smoother end, is more intended for basic ballpoint pens. In that instance, the extra smoothness of the pair tends to be satisfying.
Hi Matt - it's nice to get a little feedback from a pencil, especially when using a more textured paper. Thanks!
. if its such a nice pencil
. why is the bear in the package holdin a test scorimg 100 ?
LOL - well I don't think it's actually a test scoring 100, but it is a silver pencil. Thanks!
