I hate it when people complain about Toyota pricing. It’s fine where it should be. Specially for a Japan import model. If you want cheap there’s always Kia or Hyundai. I’ll rather have quality than cheap pricing. Can’t have both. You get what you pay for.
You're hitting the nail on the head. Prices are going up in the auto, grocery, and housing industry but wages are not. We're not able to afford nothing. We're having to choose
bro you're not getting 340 horsepower in a lexus at this price, plus this is as good looking as a lexus, with all the premium materials and features you would want
@@chikatewatia8688 Fuel economy for that horse power nah but you can get an es350 with a v6 that does 304 hp and the top trim is comparable price to the platinum trim. Plus, imo what really takes it for me is that they’ll probably put the turbo engine with electric motor on other models like maybe the nx so if you were someone that might like sedans you could get an es but if you really want to ride high you might be able get an nx with that engine. The crown seems to be for a niche of people that like sedans but don’t want to ride low in one. I can respect it cause I am in that niche but I also think Lexus gives more features for the price
WE got a Platinum 2024 Hybrid with The Electric Transmission a few months ago the take off is tremendous and I LOVE IT the Car gets ALOTTA attention though cause People generally don’t know what type of Car it is
For a Crown $55k is not bad. People complaining about prices is the reason why North America got a stripped down version compared to the Japanese market one. If you think this is expensive then just get a Rav4 or a Camry.
I realize In America they selling junk cars very expensive, this car from Japan all of them have crown symbole at the front that make it unique classy than the one in America. Inside very classy than the one selling in America.
5.8" of ground clearance isn't right in between haha. My GT Sport hatch has 5.1" & ik 7" is pretty significant, it's loooooow. My GLi which is a sport sedan had 5.6" & it was low as well. Pretty sure the Crown has basically same ground clearance as a Camry so don't offroad this thing 😅 it's not meant for it. It's just a big sedan cosplaying an SUV. Which is fine I like the way it looks, just wish they woulda given it a sportback hatch, it literally looks like it should have one. Most people don't offroad their SUV & CUVs anyways tho lol
I agree 100%. They really do look as if they have more ground clearance than they actually do. They are too expensive for me right now, but who knows, perhaps I could pick up a used one a few years down the line.
@@jessebrueshaber6915 personally imo if you’re spending $55k+ on a sedan, you’re starting to get into luxury class & at that point it’s more worth while to look that way. Ik Toyota is “more reliable” but at a certain price point you need to see what you’re getting for the price itself. An example is I just recently ordered a 24 A4 Allroad Prestige with Black Optics & total price from the build was $60k. There’s too much to list for features but outside of listing those features you get better performance & a way more robust & well built interior. These crowns are nice forsure, just kinda feel out of place like they don’t really have an exact place. Most people who want a CUV will get a $35k CUV, most people who want a sedan will get a $30k sedan, most people who want something in between will start capping out around $50k for a nice mid size CUV or small SUV. After that price (where this is competing) most buyers will start looking into in this case Lexus or Acura but also Audi, Genesis, Mercedes, BMW, etc bc obviously price isn’t an issue at that level, so they start looking into what quality & features you get for the price. The crown has mostly everything you need outside of a Sportback, but the interior is still out of a $35k Toyota sedan. Obv if you plan on buying this used & keeping it for 10 years it’s better to go Toyota over luxury, but again most people in this price range will lease & be in & out of their car every 3 years while it’s under warranty. I leased the Audi myself, I’d never own German anything outside of the warranty 😅
It is a really light trunk. It doesn't need power at all. Also, it is super easy to reach in order to close so that makes a power trunk even more useless.
@@djplonghead5403 Why spend 56K USD if you have to lift this up manually. Does it have an engine if we have to pull this with a pony 🐴 cos it must be light
It won’t make it another generation. The sales are poor and people not buying. It’s ugly and the pricing. Along with being a hybrid AND turbo. What can and will go wrong with that setup eventually with AWD. Big time money when out of warranty.
Theres quite a few cars around 35k with over 200hp. For a daily driver car thats all im looking for. People do need to have realistic expectations on car prices. This car for 55k is a little expensive but if your looking for a sport luxury its not realy that much. If your looking for a equivalent luxory brand with these specs youd be paying much more then 55k. In 2024 or 2025 in the US i do see vehicle prices dropping a bit but not by a massive % so again realistic expectations.
Toyota 56k good job sell them for 100k. I am looking for car right now every Toyota dealership they are discounted 4K or plus. Toyota crown should be around 35k or less
why do salesmen keep saying weird? it's not weird, it's innovative and awesome
Right
It’s weird
I would replace the toyota badge with a crown.
I parked next to one at a Subway sandwich shop this weekend. It was a pretty good looking car.
That is a super cool car. And I love that one of the paint color options is called Heavy Metal.
I really like the front look 🤌🏾🤌🏾
if it's $25k 🚀
if it's $35k 🤔
if it's $55k 💩
Toyota really need to work on their marketing... $55k ppl will get Lexus/Audi/BMW no doubt
If you compare the Toyota Crown Platinum to the Lexus ES 300h Ultra Luxury (to keep it both hybrids), the Lexus is only $110 more
I hate it when people complain about Toyota pricing. It’s fine where it should be. Specially for a Japan import model. If you want cheap there’s always Kia or Hyundai. I’ll rather have quality than cheap pricing. Can’t have both. You get what you pay for.
Crown is a Lexus indeed, even better than some Lexus
55k? In the 90s that would get you a nice house in a good neighborhood, y'all have lost your minds
That same 55k house today would be 150 to 200, Times have changed
You're hitting the nail on the head. Prices are going up in the auto, grocery, and housing industry but wages are not. We're not able to afford nothing. We're having to choose
Ever heard of inflation…
Yep, and the Louisiana Purchase was finalized at 4 cents per acre in 1803. Almost like this is how it’s always worked.
The hybrid max engine looks great but for that price might as well just get a Lexus

Lexus is owned by Toyota 😂

Yeah, the wrong type of attention. It’s hideous looking rolling down the road.
Dude I have never wanted a Toyota so much.
I like it tho 💪💯
Great #short!
I saw it in my city , I thought it was mesarati one !
Paying over 50k for a base car now days its ridiculous.
fr
And a Toyota at that... yikes
I remember the Crown back in the day. This one is definitely much nicer.
It looked alot more premium and sporty
I like it 👌

For that price. I would just get a Lexus
I’ll just get bmw x2 with that price 😂🤣
We will buy in Japan ship it here.
Should’ve called it the new Camry and it would’ve sold
Is it really $55K or $66K

I never see these ever. I sat in one at toyota. I felt a little crammed
It's the same size for the driver as the Camry, feeling crammed is a you problem, not a car problem, buy a truck
So far, this Crown doesn’t have good sales numbers compared to other Toyota models. It’s rare to see this on roads.

whats weird about it???
$56k for sedan?! 😢
I that weird? Luxuy cars like RR are sedans and they are 400k.
The XSE starts at 40k
Hybrid? CVT ? In a $56000 car? No thanks. Would be so much better with a naturally aspirated V6.and an 8 speed
Toyota Crown Platinum or Lexus ES 300h Ultra Luxury?
Toyota Crown Platinum
The one that’s made in Japan.
no justification for a 56k price. what a poor vehicle presentation
no doubt a very well engineered car but it's weird and I don't know who the target audience is, old people maybe

Wait how tiny is this dude? I’ve seen reviews of this car.
5'9"
Ridiculous price its kinda small and the rear end is really ugly in person
Or you can buy 3 Toyota corollas
Oh hell nah💀
3 Corollas? Here in Dallas, even the cheapest 2024 Corolla LE is 28k with taxes and markup
This is a "sedan"?😂😂😂
Looks like a roach, I hate the design. Bring back the Avalon.
$55 for Toyota is a joke
Love the vanna white hands

Too Expensive
Nope
💩😂
No sedan is worth 56k. Not a chance.
No sedan? None at all? Koenigsegg Gemera? Porsche Panamera Turbo S? Rolls Royce Ghost?
No one is buying this car 😅
I work for Toyota, believe me, you DO NOT want to buy anything from them!!!!
Too much money for this freaking ugly thing!!! No way
