I'm glad we finally got a reviewer that explains vehicles the way they are, a lot of reviewers miss these fine points that you pick up. A lot of people miss the point of Toyota making a performance hybrid and they discount it because it doesn't get the same mileage as the lesser models. I test drove and considered the Lexus ES but I love this car so much more. The power and the all-wheel drive and the fuel efficiency was a win for me. I even think it rides a little bit better with the adaptive dampers.

We just got our heavy metal Platinum, wow what a car 47 mpg on highway and will run like a scalded dog.
What do you mean? It is rated at 30mpg.
@@pb25193 They rate them on the low side I guess, that's on the highway at 63 mph , plus we live in a flat area, we get 35 in the city.

@@pb25193 2023, we made a 300-mile trip yesterday and averaged 45.7 mpg.
