As a native of Pittsburgh I loved this dlc. It was so odd seeing buildings I've been inside and seen in real life.
The Xman 5050 same it was weird seeing the bridge and buildings destroyed. They should make a fo4 sequel but compelety exploreable.

The PITT was the best DLC for FO3 hands down. It really brought back the "Your choices actually affect the future" aspect of RPGs. Stick with the slaves, and slay all the basterds who enslaved them, or work with the Raiders, and sacrifice the freedom of the slaves to create the cure of the virus and rebuild civilization. It's a tough choice....
Sunflare a short term good with long term negative effects or short term evil for a long term good tough choice plus the fact that you have to kidnap a baby, This is gonna be hard in someone who played fallout 4
Sunflare The moral choice at the end was the one of the few good ones in FO3. Rest of the DLC is pretty bad tho.
For this DLC I sided with Ashur and the raiders/slavers, but usually I kill all slavers I see. The reason I chose not to free the slaves in the pitt is down to the fact that Wernher and Midea refused to tell you that the 'cure' was a baby and I won't kidnap a child.

So if you walk right in in full power suit armor. A group of raiders still knock you out? I think it is time for a rethink on how to handle the Brotherhood of Steel. Just need some lead pipes. We have been doing it wrong this whole time.
Maybe Power Armour isn't built to sustain lead pipes like it can with bullets, laser, plasma, explosives, electricity, radiation and sharp blades.

12:24 well i guess the slave got himself a deal, he gave away those shitty slave clothes but he got in return a nice cottom shirt with shorts.
player character should be rich from the very beginning. he can undress people (including him/herself) and make high-quality cotton shirts and shorts appear out of nowhere. if i had the power to do that, i'd just constantly keep undressing my fiancee or myself and sell the clothes. even if i sell them to second hand stores, i'd still make some pretty decent money. probably would never have to work again in my entire life. lol

There's also another option where, if you're not wearing the slave outfit when you can talk to Mex you can "ask for work". He tells you to go on through, and you get beaten unconscious just like if you had killed him. There's different dialogue though. I was pretty confused and a little annoyed when that happened to me in my playthrough because I was wearing my Winterized T-51b power armor and Bethesda was stupid enough to have you "knocked out" by a couple of guys with police batons. I was sitting there thinking "Bethesda, I'm wearing armor so powerful it made the tank all but obsolete. I can shrug off missiles like they're paintballs. I could beat everyone in here to death with my bare hands and not even need to use a stimpack. How the hell did I get knocked out by a couple of hobos with metal sticks?"

The thing I liked the most about the pitt was just when you think fallout 3 can't get any darker and depressing it does.
You start the game in the standard depressing ww3 world then you go into the sewers which are even more dark and then the pitt shows up with smoked out sun,radioactive water so lethal it kills in seconds and squat morbidly gross creatures that makes super mutants look like gentleman butlers.

this DLC has the single most hardiest moral choice i have ever faced in post apoliticia
I actually never found it to be that hard a choice myself. Hypocrite, self-moralizing leaders like Ashur are dime-a-dozen. Human nature doesn't work like that, that the slavery, brutality, oppression and murder will suddenly stop once Ashur gets his cure. Fact is, he put many of those slaves there in the first place and would likely profit from the infections. They could have left anytime they wanted. Ashur's plan was dead on arrival simply by the company he keeps and how small his influence is on how the people are treated. Ashur was IMO delusional if he thought that plan was going to work. The raiders would turn on him the minute he said they couldn't abuse the slaves anymore.

No it's not. You either free the slaves and they will inevitably all mutate into monsters, or leave the current authority in place and cure the affliction upon which time they won't be slaves for much longer. This isn't a hard choice at all. I have more trouble deciding what kind of pizza to buy.
@@WorldWalker128 except slavers don't like the idea of not owning other people anymore. Take the civil war in the US for example. They would all rather die than free the people they see as property.

They really captured the outside of Pittsburgh well. When you come in through the tunnels it’s literally just bridge now. I’m sure back in the 50’s it looked just like fallouts depiction. They did great. Coming from a pittsburgher
May be my favorite DLC from Fo3 right here. I mean it's got EVERYTHING: great characters, new factions, tough choices, STEEL FUCKING INGOTS, great loot.

Rewatching all these Oxhorn videos from 4 years ago in the fall of 2021. I cant believe its been 4 years already, I remember the videos being posted like it was yesterday 😭
I love the intros you make. It reminds me of my flashbacks of the game. In this place it's strange scenes like bodies falling, running around in the junk yard, being in caves with trogs, goring things with power tools that have been modified. Kills through a scopes. Nice intro.

So glad you're doing videos on the Pitt it was my favorite dlc for fallout 3. Plus you get an awesome silenced assault rifle from there.
I love the intro for this series. Ox must have worked so hard on it, and it definitely paid off.
This DLC was silly. I mean the Operation Anchorage mission locked me into a scenario, and it seemed like Point Lookout was scaled around my character and then some. The Pitt, on the other hand....I wasn't even trained in Unarmed, and my first actions after being jumped and stripped of all my gear was to punch out a guard, take his gear and gun, promptly start shooting EVERY guard in my way....I mean, if they wanted me to feel desperate, the guards needed to be a little harder to jump. It took me five seconds to start a one-man riot, in no small thanks to free healing by one of the slaves. Hell, if it wasn't for the plot armor, I already had a sniper rifle and could've taken out Ashur from the start. And I'm also supposed to believe five guys with pipes beat up a guy in prewar high quality military grade power armor, with over 100 stimpacks and a pile of Med-X.

I am way more excited about this than I should be. I remember you said at some point that you never played The Pitt, must have been a while ago, and I was kinda bummed. Cool to see you have played it, it's my favorite dlc for fallout 3. Also, if memory serves me right, that cutscene about halfway through the video wasn't in the game, so if you made it, awesome work!

In the lore is stated that Pittsburgh was never hit by nukes but the nuclear residue from the nearby plants going critical and the wastes from the numerous factories heavily poluted the city and the river, leaving it at this state.
I'm from Philadelphia, it got hit but it felt like throwing a hot dog in a hallway.

Ah, the Pitt. One of my favorite Fallout DLCs next to Far Harbor and Point Lookout. I wish it was a little bigger though, but I get size constraints. btw, I used to walk across a bridge like that everyday in North Allegheny by the ballfields back in '01 when I was in college. Glad they kept the black glass tower also. Always loved that building.

The Wabash Bridge almost reminds me of the Clemente, Warhol, and Carson bridges on 6th, 7th, and 9th streets, over the Allegheny. Maybe it’s because every time I’ve been to Pittsburgh I’ve been near the North Shore.
Oxhorn is one of my personal favorite story telling people on this god forsaken platform. His voice is rich and soothing and the editing and effort he puts into these types videos is incredible. His content is funny but easy to understand and these types of videos took me through my child hood as I played though the games myself and although I’m not such a fan of his more recent content this is still here and that’s all I need

I must have watched all the Fallout 1, 2, 3, 4 and new Vegas lore videos at least 30 times each now, I don't think I'm exaggerating. I turn them on when I go to bed, for some reason I just love hearing Ox talk about the lore of these games as I drift out to sleep.

Lovely, may be the best DLC of FO3. But the end leaves me with bad taste in my mouth every time. Just when you thought that there can't be something worse than slavery, Werner proves you wrong. I hate that guy.

My first play through of the Pitt, I was thinking to definitely side with the slaves but after hearing Ashur’s side I was convinced to join him. Even though I did kill every slaver because I felt bad for leaving the slaves

Oxhorn I understand why you would it is morally conflicting after making it through 3 rounds of the pitt arena you get more access to more of downtown pitt and uptown and get access to a skyscraper called heaven where ashur lives now depending on what kind weapon you use will determine which who side with in the pitt because if you use energy weapons then you may want maintain your supplies by buying from the named pitt raider Friday (however if side with wernher you lose access to Friday as a weapons and ammo merchant she also has stimpack in her inventory ) now if you are using a minigun or all of small guns in general then it doesn't who you side with because regardless of who you side with you receive access to the ammo press which allow to melt down any metal ammo you don't need and scrape metal into any kind metal ammo you actually need very reliable now what I just trying to point out oxhorn if you use energy weapons then the price siding with wernher is steep especially when there is absolutely no pitt slave that will take over Friday's inventory after she is dead of course and what I mean I said after Friday is dead I mean if you side with wernher and kidnap the cure which is a child then you forced are to kill Friday because she will attack you on sight
Oxhorn Friday may not have the best inventory but she makes up for that with decent access to microfusion cells, energy cell, and (if you trained yourself in big guns and still want big energy weapons maybe you would a Gatling laser and buy some electron charge packs ) for more areas that give a decent amount of energy ammo I would go to places like tenpenny tower and rivet city now you could go to a place called evergreen mills and do business with smiling jack however there is one thing need know and that is that smiling jack's inventor does not regenerate every 72 hours in game or all for that matter meaning that smiling jack is not someone reliable to do business with now I would steer clear of place like the souvenir shop in little lamplight, megaton's craterside supply , traveling merchants, and scavengers as those people and places have much less microfusion cells, energy cells, and electron charge packs rendering those people and places as small game for business now I exactly know how decent Sydney's ammo inventory is but I do know that tulip over at the underworld I know that the amount of microfusion cells, energy cells, and electron charge packs you buy from her isn't very decent at all I don't know how you keep yourself restocked oxhorn

I never liked it in games where it just stun locks you from doing anything, regardless of weapons, armor, or skill the game forces you to lose everything.

You can retrieve all your gear in a locker near the gate or in the way down to the arena after doing some quests, but I played the dlc with only the items I got from it
The Pitt was my favorite DLC because I live in Pittsburgh and could recognize a lot of the area. It's really cool.
I didn't think anyone made old fallout videos other than Alchestbreach, these videos bring back so much memories and make me realize how small fallout 4 really is compared to New Vegas. Glad I found this channel! Sucks to see alchestbreach's views go down to barely a few thousand a video.
