the magical sphee or u could have Fawkes the other friendly super mutant in one of the last missions in a vault u have to have high karma tho
If someone walks up to you wearing a suit of enclave power armor and a pre-war fedora holding a gun not from this planet I think you should not attack that person
All the more reason to attack... Cause them you can get his toys. But 1v1 is definitely a bad idea :-|
That looked more like a top hat
I legitimately looked like I had just come right out of the gates of hell, and the stupid Talon Mercs still wanted to try me.

"Now I wander the wasteland, hoping to find some meaning to life before I die."
You and me both, brother.
Same
For real
You said it, brother
Let me clarify it to you.
There is none.
Look at these countless beigns of countless species, trapped in endless loop, cycle of life and death. Borning and dying.
Look at people who gave their life for their love, country, religion, billions of different ideas.
Look at our daily struggle, our worries, our dreams, feelings and emotions.
Have it really changed anything at all?
No.
We're still here. In space, in Universe, which as far as science knows, has no center. Center is everywhere. You are the center of Universe, from your perspective, and I'm a center from mine, respectively.
It doesn't matter what we do, we can't change that.
Every our acomplishment and victory will fall victim to relentless flow of time itself.
Life, my dear friend, has absolutely no sense. We're not even a mere dust, compared to scale of space. We're nothing. It doesn't matter what we do, what we believe... in max 100 years noone will even remember your or my name. We will fade away just like the others.
So... if it won't make a difference, we can do anything. We live in a beautiful world, full of possibilites (much better than dying in muddy trenches of Verdun, don't you think?). You can be free, you can believe what you want and do what you want. Make the best of yourself and don't add any more bullshit to this already ridicolously huge pile, which was gathered my humanity.
Develop your passions, have a hobby, give what you can to someone who really can appreciate your persona.
Live a passionate, wise life as long as you can, don't lie to yourself and others, accept your fate and be peaceful with what I've told you.
@@sill5876 its beautiful, where'd this came from?
God damn Uncle Leo is the saddest thing in this game.
Yep, all they had to do was make all (or at least most) of the super mutants like that, not necessarily good per se, but actual characters with personalities, and maybe it'd have been halfway to a good game.
As it is now, all but two super mutants in this game are basically glorified orcs as far as the story goes.
Pennsylvanian super mutants lose their intelligence significantly as a process of the FEV, only super mutants from the master's era are considered intelligence and even then it was a process of hit and miss, some were smart and some were stupid, the mutants of fallout 3 and 4 are ones that lose their intelligence overtime and their body increase in size until they become a behemoth as a result, the other type of super mutants with a form of intelligence are the nightkins but they're insane
Yes, I already know about the meta in-universe explanation, what I'm saying is that they should have decided for the story that FEV wouldn't degenerate all but 2 of them. Besides, some of them could have been stupid but kind.
“You don’t seem to understand. I’m robbing you.” No, you’re not. I’m giving you this as a gift” 😭😭😢

Uncle Leo deserves the highest karma in the whole franchise.

I think the RAREST encounter in this video is winning that 19% speech check
Speech checks never bothered me. I would quicksave before that dialogue option lol
I won a 3% once
It has nothing to do with the percent thing. Its random actually. I had %100 speech check and I failed to the Ada.
Fo3 was all about scrummin speech checks haha
OXY Absoloute BS, of course it’s based on a percentage basis
The rarest encounter in Fallout 3 is landing a shot without using V.A.T.S.
John Doe wait people use vats?
Honestly, most of my sniper criticals and one-shots were without V.A.T.S.
Git gud scrub
@@basketbomberslackingson4417 non vats shots are determined by vats percentages, not where you actually aim
I only use VATs to avoid being fucking violated by a group of enemies, kinda like the use of dead-eye in RDR, use it to shoot first.
Uncle Leo is probably the best character Bethesda ever created. Of all the people in the Wasteland, he genuinely cares. Even when you try to rob him, he truly cares. I miss him. I hope we see him again someday
Would be an awesome easter egg in 76
Jalyn Wilson sadly he wouldn’t fit in the fallout 76 story line because that’s probably pre vault 86

you know that you played Fallout 3 too much when you don't use fast travel and you don't need the map to know where you are :D

Too bad you could only have that dialog if you are mean to him.
Leo is a little nod at this story - A Zen Master lived the simplest kind of life in a little hut at the foot of a mountain. One evening, while he was away, a thief sneaked into the hut only to find there was nothing in it to steal. The Zen Master returned and found him. "You have come a long way to visit me," he told the prowler, "and you should not return empty handed. Please take my clothes as a gift." The thief was bewildered, but he took the clothes and ran away. The Master sat naked, watching the moon. "Poor fellow," he mused, " I wish I could give him this beautiful moon." Who knew
The core of Buddhism is the idea that everything in life is transitory and fleeting, and it's only our attachment to the idea of permanence that makes us unhappy. The sooner you ride the river and realize it doesn't matter the better off you are.
The master willingly gives his clothes up and goes naked because he recognizes that they are just meaningless dead things, so if he can give them up to improve another living creature's life, he will. But his final observation shows how he's only sad he could not help the thief more, because he knows that a life of selfish attachment to temporary objects is a sad and empty life of spiritual poverty, even if one could steal "the moon". To the master, viewing the beauty of the moon and feeling the deep contentment of spiritual peace is priceless, but not a possession one can simply give; each must learn it the hard way.
Alex Tocqueville
did you mention stealing the moon?
*Gru rushes in*
Tact the Insurgent but I heard it was a panda instead of a zen master

That was nice, thank you
When you realize uncle Leo's voice actor was the oblivion guards voice actor "S T O P"
Arcadeian ! What Bethesda character isn’t voiced by that guy
I was just thinking the same thing they sound the exact same
It's also the same guy who voices Lucien Lechance in both oblivion and skyrim. He also voices the silver shroud in FO4.
@@KidsWithGuns1992 the Master he was voiced by the same guy who voiced Winnie the Pooh keep that in mind next time you speak with the Master

Agreed.
One of the reasons I love this game TO THIS DAY!
When?
Is this on any of the soundtracks? I cant find it anywhere but yes its amazing, it really adds to the mood
Sam warrick was one of the first things I ever found in the game, about half an hour into my first playthrough he attacked me and I was so confused
He hits like a truck when you just start out!
amelia bell SAME!! He killed me several times
amelia bell As soon as I stepped foot into DC, he was an easy kill for me tho
amelia bell ya I just killed regularaters when I found him
I found him and a fucking enclave soldier in power armor both chasing some random kid 5 minutes into the game.
Unlucky kid, after i killed them both he ran straight into a group of raiders fighting some feral ghouls.
Mel saved my life. I was level three and decided to grab the endurance bubble head early by sneaking in the Deathclaw cave but I was spotted just outside. Mel suddenly appeared and lead the Deadclaws away. R.I.P :(
Minh Huy Nguyễn RIP Mel, you were the worst mugger.
Not all heros wear capes
Bro as soon as I got out of the Valut I went to super Mart I was like wtf I'm only level 2 XD
LukkoTV yeah super duper mart was where I found my first death claw, but the wastelanders fighting it brought it down to like one hit so I killed it and thought “those must be easy to kill” lol
One of my favorite moments playing fallout 3 is while i was making my way over to the superduper mart quest a fire lance landed and a raider picked it up and at the same time a death claw showed up near the bus and i was just left standing there confused and amazed
"We're looking for the Oasis. Here. Let me just mark it on your map for ya. Anyway, we don't share this I go with just anyone, time to die! "
Lol, what is it with raiders, slavers, and muggers in the wasteland that they think it's a good idea to try to rob or kill someone who is running around in super advanced power armor carrying a plasma rifle while all you have two other dudes with crappy old rifles that barely work.
Do you suppose thouse guys are thinking as they watch their buddy turn into a pile of green goo with one shot, "We can probably still take this guy, this is a good idea.'?
Same logic with Skyrim. Oh see that guy that just killed a dragon, I know! Let's mug him!
Just bad A.I lol
Well these people are generally quite savage, and not the brightest.. I imagine if they saw a dude wearing power armour, they would want to kill him and take it for themselves? It's not completely out of the question, also its a video game. 😂
The best thing is that the original Fallout actually had this flaw rectified. If you were too powerful, the enemies would run away from you instead.
@@jasonee12 I'm glad they brought that back as the Terrifying Presence perk for New Vegas. It's hilarious.
Fallout 3 is my favorite game ever.. so beautiful, unlike anything else ever created, I wish I could replay it and have the same experience as I did the first time through. such a magical experience..
took the words right out my mouth, would easily spend another 2000+ hours on it
I feel/felt like this when I beat both Zelda Ocarina of time and Majora's Mask.

Paul Belanger Those are some awesome games to start out with! I just replayed NV and Oblivion, and kind of played Skyrim at the same time to help piece the elder scrolls story together. All still amazing games. I played fo3 when it first came out but hardly saw any of these encounters

Ahh fallout 3, the game with only like 4 voice actors
But of em was Liam Neeson
More like a dozen but still better than all those D-List actors that caused Obsidian to blow their budget instead of making a good, bug free game like they said they would. They deserved to go bankrupt.

Uncle Leo lived like 5 seconds after the encounter when super mutants leveled him, genuinely shouted nooooo
Walking around without the game crashing is a rare encounter.
they should remaster this game

Fallout New Vegas was rushed and a lot of nothingness but desert and sand.

That part Growing up in the vault was a very cool thing.
Better City's like Megaton and Rivet City and The slave camp and even the police station covered in super mutant and all of the Washington city and the monuments and super mutant behemoth and Galaxy News radio and the Brotherhood of steel and fighting the enclave.
I could go on and on...
even the mutant Tree was awesome.
so so much to explore and do....
Yes New Vegas added (some) cool new stuff. it was to rushed and was just a Fallout 3 DLC on a disk. It was the same game with different things added and took out.
BNGBlindWolf cool, but sounds like a you problem though
No its a (Rushed Game Problem)
BNGBlindWolf And fallout 3 overused supermutants and brotherhood of steel, you only fight like 3 different things in that game...
EEEEYYY ITS MY BOI UNCLE LEO
Who else is gathered here today by the magical wonders of TH-cam recommendations?
"A talking Super Mutant? What's next, a dog on a bicycle?" lol
The Notorious Shady Or a robot that gives you Hand-jobs! Wait...
Potato OS good old fisto
Lisa Egal
The Notorious Shady All super mutants talk. Most just aren't very articulate.
The Notorious Shady Some-one there?!
Fun Fact: Uncle Leo is a reference to a story of Ryokan a zen master. A thief went to Ryokans hut at the foot of a mountain and found nothing to rob. Ryoken returned and said the thief has come a long way to visit him and should not go empty handed, so he gave the thief the clothes off his back. Ryokan then ends up laying down naked while looking at the moon and says "I only wish I could have given him this beautiful moon"
That's why I love this game. So much content it's impossible to experience everything in it.
Not true lol played three 100% playthroughs. You just need ALOT of time.
Robot is completely destroyed
“Hey, what happened with the robot?”
This game came out when I was on high school and single handedly fucked up my grades. Best fucking game I ever played. Loved every second of it.
Why does the wiki say that Uncle Leo is evil when he is clearly good
Lonefalloutwolf V&G becuase its wiki
Well becouse of error in the game. He have had propably set evil karma by some developer on bethesda side, so...
Someone didn’t get the memo
Ollie J Baker wiki can be edited by other people
I didn't know the three slavers encounter was rare and I just shot at them as soon as I saw the name "slaver"
Fallout 3 Logic, guy has power armour and a gun that could kill you in one second. MUG HIM
Skyrim Logic, guy has Deadric Armour and a Deadric sword and just killed a dragon. MUG HIM
The same as the first Fallout and New Vegas.
Bedhead Megamariobros Killerclown Megaluigibros never said it was dumb
I mean it's just the AI and how the game works, but, if you think about it, it would still kind of make sense, these guys having nothing to lose, they are aren't gonna mug any other useless guy who has nothing like them, they might as well try and mug a big boy, and if they die, like I said they had nothing to lose but everything to gain from one successful big boy mug, anyone ever think about it that way?
The Rooster I know it’s how the AI works I was just making a joke
@@Owlinasuit oh I know you were making a joke lol, i just dived deep into it for some reason haha
Why the fuck do people still fight over which is better, Fallout 3 or New Vegas???
I don't understand you people...
Why can't you just enjoy the game or else just keep your miserable overly critical comments to yourself. I'm tired of people bickering over these amazing games. Both should be equally enjoyed and experienced without pointless bias.
Because debating is fun. Why do you care if people argue opinions. quite fun to read anyway
I've personally played both, and I think that they both have strong and weak points.
Fallout 3: The environment was more interesting to explore, even going through the Capitol building, but having to go through the metro areas to leave DC is tedious, as those areas are quite repetitive. There is fast travel though. The backstory of the Lone Wanderer is explained in greater detail in the vanilla game, so I'm happy for that. The game was slightly challenging, even at higher levels, mostly due to my lack of stimpacks. At the end, when you chose who was going to be sacrificed, after the ending cutscene, I wish that they did what they did in New Vegas, which was reloading a previous save before the final battle, because I don't make multiple saves. The lack of weapons does detract somewhat, but once you find your main weapons, it really doesn't matter.
Fallout: New Vegas: This improved in areas where Fallout 3 was lacking, including the amount of weapons, and the saving process. Hardcore mode and Iron sights did add a fair amount of immersion, and I'm happy about it. The landscape feels more barren, but that's what DLC is for right? The game is considerably easier, and the higher level cap really helps the skills. Having a perk every 2 levels now can really change gameplay styles. Some of the skill changes were slightly weird, like getting a certain gun skill would permanently make you master a certain gun, but I don't know how it works in Fallout 3. Speaking of skills, the skill checks can be slightly stingy at times unless you pour points in early, or level up highly, but it's not usually bad. Having the choice of more endings adds a sense of player morality, as the choice between independence, slavery, martial law, or dictatorship really takes a toll on the conscious.
Overall they are both great games, and it really is hurtful to see wars over simple opinions, but it's everywhere, and not likely to stop, so I might as well leave it.
I own them all ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
***** Good man, so do I.
Why does there always have to be an annoying ass like you who writes about the arguments to get likes?
that 12 fps is really good for my eyes. thanks. a lot.
It's not that bad
+Cyrax your right, it's not bad, it's fuckin terrible
NCRranger24 - Gaming and More! ^ I agree with NCR's statement.
aw, your poor sensitive eyes.
Zach Harrelson when you are used to 60fps (or even a solid 30fps) it feels a little painful and looks disorienting
Take me for an easy mark huh?
Bad move!
* Bursts into plasma not even a second later *
Watching in 2021. The atmosphere of this game still sends chills up my spine. Its obviously a game, but the quietness and loneliness is so real to me. Like, I remember that feeling of depression and isolation just walking aimlessly through the wasteland.
They need to remaster Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas
or make a 3D version of 1 and 2
honestly, i like how fallout 3 looks in terms of graphics, but they should pump up the colors. Everything looks so grey
+PartySlapper Best part about it fallout 4 is so fucking watered down and happy looking
+Molly Schindler honestly, fallout 4's colours kind of hurt my eyes when I play too much. but fallout 3 is too monochromed imo
Molly Schindler what do bright colors have to do with being watered down? Aren't those oxymorons?
Huh, all these hours in F3 and the only one I found was the Chinese soldier.
Huh, all these hours in F3 and a shitload of people have seen all of em. I feel bad for you. Its hard to get that unlucky
Imnotsharingmyrealnameonthiswebsite do you have a steam acount with the name communists doggo or used to
Abuyin ibn Djadir BEI SHIN! BEI SHIN!

Are you only one person? Or is this the fabled Minuteman army of cloned Garveys?

Man, I’ve been playing this game for more than 10 years! My childhood was invested into this game.
MY name is also Caleb Smith... There isn't enough room in this town for the both of us.
I saw uncle Leo a few times
I liked him I wonder who he was before
Or if he will return
I remember making a talking mutant my follower in fallout 3, not sure if it's uncle Leo but I did get one
+Myferstpenta Kill wasn't Leo. It's fawkes
We need more people like uncle Leo, wish I was like him myself, with my mental capacity included.
