    - What “attachment style” means and the 4 types
    - How your subconscious mind drives a lot of what you do
    - What love is supposed to look like
    - How your attachment style impacts your personal goal-setting
    - The biggest limiting beliefs from childhood (which one is yours?)
    - What you do that creates pathways in your brain
    - How to figure out your attachment style
    - How to make your attachment style “secure”
    - The difference between “core wounds” and “core needs”
    - The 2 things you did in childhood that made you a people-pleaser
    - How to feel less anxious and overwhelmed in relationships
    - How your fear of abandonment shows up in your relationships
    - The one question to ask yourself before you argue with your partner
    - What your new love interest needs if they have a hard time trusting
    - How to reprogram your subconscious mind for healthier relationships

This was an awakening session. I have deeply gone inward working on myself. I continue to study myself, and have been reflecting g for a good 5 years now. I has given me a deeper understanding why I reacted to lessons (circumstances) along my journey. Thank you both! It's been hard to put things into words to my partner. We are celebrating 23 years of marriage. It has been one hell of a rollercoaster, but have facing adversity together in our own way. Taken alot of patience, and compassion.

I literally never comment on post but to see the two people who brought me out of the darkest place I have ever been after finding myself in a relationship with a narcissist. Between really embracing the High Five habit and the Let Them theory and all of the amazing resources at PDS I can’t explain how you have both transformed my life! Thank you both for everything you do! This was the Christmas gift I didn’t even know I wanted. Wishing you both many blessings and again…thank you! You are truly SAVING LIVES. PS…Thais’s work was what finally pulled me out of 15 years of active addiction to opioids in a way I never thought possible so when I say you are saving lives…I mean it!

@@faridaaminy9734 my apologies for the delayed response! I am just now seeing the notification for this! That is a great question! Unfortunately I don’t have a great answer as I feel the process of overcoming addiction is truly unique to everyone…and maybe even less of a great answer when I say honestly even with almost 5 years of sobriety it is a war that I’m still and likely always will wage. I will say this battle is unique to everyone but if I had to describe the turning point for me it was when the the pain of battling withdrawal daily became more of a problem to me than the “quick answer”. My brain had to really believe that the “pain” of withdrawal was AND the cost of literally and figuratively of taking pills was not as bad as continuing the cycle of addiction. I also happened to find myself in a position where I was able to move to a new state due to a job opportunity my partner had so the timing and everything just aligned. Add to that, that I found PDS and was able to do the work to identify and meet all of the needs internally I was outsourcing to pills or people and that really pushed me over the edge. With that said, that was as a process that had A LONG run way and most of all I had to learn to forgive myself and become the person I had been looking for to help “change my life”! It truly is a brain disorder and I was at the right point in life with the right opportunities present! My apologies as I know that doesn’t really answer your question but I hope in some way this helps!

I love Thais! She literally helped me grow in so many areas of my life. Growing up in an East African home, where the only emotion we knew to express was anger, and expressing your needs or boundaries was a taboo, Thais wisdom has helped me to literally reparent myself at the age of 47. I’m a Somali-American woman, professionally successful, but who grew up in an enmeshed, codependent, parentifying culture. I never knew I could say “no” and feel no guilt or shame, honoring my boundaries. I’m grateful for all I’m learning and applying from Thais classes. Thank you! ❤

I have been following Thais Gibson's work on TH-cam for years and have been part of her Personal Development School too. Her work and the courses she provides in her school are life changing! They are such empowering tools for anyone to have if you really wish to deeply learn about who you are, build self-compassion and find more satisfaction in the different areas of your life. Essentially you are building a better relationship with yourself and as a byproduct, naturally everything else just fell into place because I could recognise and communicate my needs, I knew what I wanted and my vision for my future looked so much clearer. Really encouraged to see great speakers like Mel talking about the topic of attachment and growth and relationships, and emphasizing as well the relationship with oneself. For years, and after thousands of hours of working with people, they go hand in hand. One's personal growth which means building a relationship with themselves on an emotional level, directly translates into greater success in relationships with others, absolutely including attachment style. In fact, I would say that anxious or unhealthy attachment styles should be seen by people like a check engine light to look inside and get to work more on connecting with themselves, and not as some sign that they are damaged and broken beyond repair.

Yes I agree. Anxious people often abandon themselves, also known as "losing your identity", as commonly referred to because they give their own power away when they put so much into relationships with the other person (often the avoidant type). The anxious person gives and gives and relies on the avoidant, hoping to also gain in return. It can come off as clingy, but as you said it derives from abandonment.

the full satisfaction of longing, communication, certainty and interdependency only comes, when you are securely attached to your inner self and others around you. You want to get to the bliss stage with that relationship however short lived. I've spent over 40hrs listening to Thais in one week recently. She has such an intelligent and in-depth knowledge in this impactful subject. Many hours with Mel as well. It's fun watching Mel sense the same 'whoa-wow' information about this subject. Thais is doing a powerful movement with this and she's an asset in our own life, our relationships, our workplace and future people in our lives. Thank you both for each of your investments in your passions. It's been very helpful in my life forward.

I was not familiar with Thais work, I’m so happy and excited to go deep in my attachment style and start questioning those patterns. This is such a life changing gift Mel and Thais, thank you so much for giving it to us. Now I can’t wait to put my hands on everything Thais has put out there in content 😂 ❤

Thanks for the opportunity, Mel. If podcasting is in the cards for me I’d want to tackle it in 2025. Allow me to tie up other loose ends so I’m not fragmented in serving, AND I want to have messages of value to pass along, which I feel I’m still accumulating. Truthfully, I love one:one therapy & coaching and believe in the thrill you must experience in reaching millions of listeners for their edification via podcasts. I ask for your prayers so I’ll be doing the right things at the right place at the right time. With Love, Helen
