I love the way the nutrients are not lost in the broccoli water, by using it to boil the pasta. Also very economical not wasting fuel or water or time. ❤

Mama Gina, I made this last week and it was so delicious. I love how the broccoli cooked down so that it was almost like a broccoli pesto. I only made a small portion but I wish I'd made the full recipe! Thanks for providing us with so many hours of good food and singing. Okay, I made the broccoli pasta today and it is delicious just as I thought it would be. Mama Gina uses a little more salt than I would but that's just a matter of taste. Now I'm watching Gina cook with her Sister Lucia! What a fun blessing!!!

First time I traveled to Italy from Austria by train there was a nice Nona or Grandmother in my wagon and she started talking to me in Italian but soon she found out I couldn’t speak Italian, after few minutes roast chicken and bottle of wine was out and started to feeding me and teaching Italian to me. After few hours we arrived in Rome you can not believe that I already started talking Italian and that was best moment of my life and never forget it. Lone you Nonna.
