    This is an excellent recipe. I use sunflower, flax, chia and pumkin seeds. Thank you for this recipe. Can't wait to try new varieties.

    I just made these with a few substitutions like coconut sugar. And I halved the recipe. These are awesome.

    Yes! I’ll make this. Nice point regarding rolled oats instead… Thanks for doing what you do in the way you do it… Great presence too.

    This is a gr8 recipe as a starter to make healthy breakfast bar. I didn't have applesauce so I used ripe banana and a lil coconut oil. I had dates and chocolate chips so I added those along with a few walnuts. Next time I think I'll let the mixture 'soak' a little longer b/c some of the oats were still a little dry which made the bars a little crumbly. Gonna try some with canned organic pumpkin . . . and some with homemade apple sauce. I've been trying hard to eat healthy . . . but still have that 'sweet tooth'. These satisfy that with just the mild sweetness. MonkFruit sugar is a gr8 alternative to cane sugar too.

    I have been on the hunt for a breakfast bar that not only tastes good, but also easy to make. I ran across your video, and immediately thought, that looks and sounds good and I'm going to give it a try. So as I start making them this morning, I realized I don't have quite enough oats, I was half a cup short. So I improvised and used a packet of peaches and cream flavored oatmeal (yes I know they're not the healthiest, but I like them 😊). I did not have any nuts, so I used a combination of raisins and cranberries, and I did add the peanut butter.
    I have got to tell you, those are absolutely delicious! THANK YOU so much for sharing this recipe. I am now a new subscriber. 💜

    I can't cook, I enjoyed this recipe, though I replaced the applesauce with butter, and I threw loads of extras in, cranberries, chocolate chips, 2 or 3 spoonfulls of honey, pecans.
    Definitely not a breakfast by the time I got my hands on 'upgrading' the recipe, but highly recommended as a desert, only problem is they get eaten too quickly...

    What's unfortunate about these bars - there's a lot of them, but after only 6 days in the fridge, I already saw mold.
    And because of the high milk content, I'm not sure that they'd freeze well.

    • @todorkolev7565
      @todorkolev7565 ปีที่แล้ว

      6 days in the fridge and you got mold? That's extremely irregular.
      I've never had any food develop mold in the fridge after just 6 days.
      I am a hobby mycologist and I'd struggle to get any fungus spawn in that amount of time, outside of the fridge!

    • @nickywickle2156
      @nickywickle2156 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@todorkolev7565 do u have any idea why it would produce mold so quickly? Just by lookin at the recipe? I'm making mine right now and their in the oven now I'm curious if I should eat them fast or if I can store them

    • @todorkolev7565
      @todorkolev7565 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nickywickle2156 I even doubt that it was mold.
      That guy must have the filthiest, swampiest fridge in the world that doesn't cool at all, or something.
      Fungi need 4 main things to grow: Water, warmth, food and surface area.
      If you cook the bars properly, that'll make the moisture unsuitable for them.
      Then, make sure your fridge is decent, like 4 degrees Celsius or lower.
      They should definitely last 5 days like that.

    • @1982Obsidian
      @1982Obsidian ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't cook, made these the other week, I wrapped them individually in cling film (as to be honest my first attempt they didn't stick together too well as I attacked them before they had cooled).
      Fine for 2 weeks, the amount of 'extras' I put in them, no sane mind can call them 'breakfast bars', they are quite clearly desert, and they lasted fine for over 2 weeks, my only problem was resisting only having 1 of 12 man sized bars over 2 weeks...
