  • In this video, I'll be doing a comprehensive sound test of the Gazzew Boba U4T 62g switch on a full keyboard, using SA, MT3, and GMK keycaps. The Gazzew U4T is a switch with sharp tactility. Really smooth, thanks to the black housing made of Boba plastic. One of the best tactile switches with great thocky sound IMO!

    So if you're looking for an honest, informative, and engaging sound test of the Ultimate Gazzew Boba U4T 62g switch, be sure to watch this video!
    The tests for this Gazzew Boba U4T Sound Test were conducted using an FR4 plate. During the tests, I performed a typing test and a slow bottom-out test to showcase the switch's sound and feel. I also conducted a decibel meter test to measure the switch's noise level with and without a keycap.
    Please note that sometimes videos are filmed weeks in advance, and as a result, the camera position and angle may have changed since the filming of other linear switch sound tests. However, despite the difference in microphone position, the microphone used in this test was at a similar distance and position, ensuring that the sound quality was not affected.
    Thanks ‪@gazzew9563‬ for providing these switches! These donations really help the channel to grow. This was sent to me without any conditions. I can assure you that I will stay impartial in my videos and will always give my honest opinions in reviews and comments.

    Hey there, folks! I'm J-S, and I'm all about making sound test videos for mechanical and non-mechanical keyboards. From the latest MX switches to those classic vintage keyboards, Click and Thock is where you'll find all the keyboard sounds you crave.
    I'm talking everything from old-school Alps SKCM switches and IBM Buckling Springs to the freshest Kailh BOX switches. I put 'em all to the test and compare the different sounds these switches and keyboards create.
    I also like to experiment with different plates, cases, switches, keycaps, and other components to see how they affect the sound. To keep things fair, I always use the same case, plate, and keycaps when comparing sounds.

    Started on tactiles. Through the generosity of a couple of local keyboard folks, I have the ability now to actually swap parts between different keyboards! Right now, I have some tactiles in the one I'm using at my home desk and they're pretty snappy. I may one day get around to the Boba line.

    110% of tactility 😂 I love it man. You should really try BBN tactile, they're almost too tactile.

    Have you tried Glorious Pandas or the regular U4T? If so: how do they compare in your opinion?
    I got a set of regular U4T (65g no boba plastic). They are audible scratchy stock. I don’t get the scratching on the pandas.

    Great video! Thank you for making quality content! I was wondering; do you have a few personal favorite tactile switches? I've been on the hunt for a good tactile and after trying a few such as the baby kangaroo, boba u4t, wuque brown, and the neopotlians; I feel they're all on the heavier side. Do you have a recommendation for a switch with high tactility but a medium actuation force of around 50g?

    Hey, thanks for sharing your experience.
    I recently started getting into the mechanical keyboards enthusiasts thing. Sorry to ask you but if you have a chance please can you try to help me on this one?
    I went to a Best Buy yesterday to try different switches. I tested a few different keyboards. Initially I thought that I was a linear switch person. I stand with that feeling after trying the first keyboards but then I tested the HypeX Aqua tactile switches and somehow I felt that it was the right fit for me.
    Those switches were smooth, light (I guess factory pre lubed), with light thocky sound, almost silent I'd say and with a little to nothing actuation tactile force against the fingers. My first inclination was to order thoses switches, well, they are not for sale.
    What are the tactile extreme super light pre lubed thocky (but almost silent) switches that you know that could be what I'm looking?
    Are those bellow in this category?
    - Tecsee Blue Sky 63.5g
    - Kailh Midnight Pro 55g
    - KTT Phalaenopsis 50g
    - Neapolitan Ice Cream 63.5g
    - Boba U4T V2 62g (this is what brought me to your video)
    - TTC Silent Bluish White 50g
    To summarize, I think I'm looking into a tactile switch that is almost a linear switch, very light bump and a thocky low sound signature.

    • @ClickandThock
      @ClickandThock  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have not tested all these switches, but if you want low tactility, smooth and not too heavy, take a look at Akko V3 Cream Blue Pro switches and Kailh BOX Winter! Thanks!

    You said that the long pole creates a deeper sound signature, but in the switch specs section, you've listed it at 4mm. So which is it, and how sharp would you say the bottom out is?

    • @ClickandThock
      @ClickandThock  หลายเดือนก่อน

      4mm is the travel, pole length is 13.5mm which qualify them as long pole.

      @@ClickandThock I'm getting ready to buy my first switches. Have a Keychron q6 pro with banana yellows that I think I like better than the red linears.
      Specifically looking at these switches, the black vs the white version. I'm leaning towards the white for RGB effects and visuals.
      Just not sure if the sound profile on these is worth the loss of color effects and how different they are. Your opinion, if I could ask for it? I'd love to know.

    Do you mind reviewing the Momoka Sharks? They're very tactile switches and have been my daily now, replacing my old boba u4ts.
    Compared to u4ts, the bump is more pronounced, and also snappier due to the 2 staged springs.
    It has a 'unique' sound profile tho, like the downstroke i's way less audible than the upstroke.
    Kinda curious on how you'll map it on the tactility chart, especially compared to the 110% clickiez 😂 (can't get hold of those myself)
