      gateron for linears, kailh for clickies or tacticle. Outemus creams for well rounded.

      I really value the anti-wobble factor of the box switches...I am looking for something with a big smooth bump like my mx clear...which would be closest to a cherry mx clear?

    +1 to the person who said this is an underrated channel. Engaging and friendly presenter with a pleasant voice CHECK. Upbeat without being fake or ridiculously obnoxious CHECK. Interesting content CHECK. Passionate about the material and knows what he's talking about CHECK. Really great production values CHECK. I'm surprised at the subscriber count... well, here's one more subscriber. Well done man.

    I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but the Kailh LTC Box have an 80M MTBF vs 50M for both Akko and Gateron switches. And, yes, the box switches are more stable than the older MX style non box. However, I just ordered some of the new Gateron milky switches, which on the website says they are more stable and have less wobble. We'll see how they stack up against my Kailh LTC Box switches. I'm also a fan of the AKKO CS Jelly Box Linear switches. Unbelievably buttery. What you say about the Kailh Box clicky is so true. I'm using them right now.

    Kailh (in my opinion) are the king of clickys, But Gateron makes more Linears and more Pricy ones too. But for tactiles i prefer Gazzew or Durock.

    • @KeebNews

      Totally agree! Was actually struggling to think of a Kailh/Gat tactile that I've typed on and enjoyed lol.

    One issue, the issue with clickies isn't so much the price as the mechanism that generates the click. Gateron's blues are much like Cherry, in which the click was actually a byproduct of the hysteresis column that was developed for Cherry White, what we call a "click jacket" now. The click leaf used in the Gateron Melodic is intriguing, but good GOD are those switches pricey.

    I bought a box if Gateron switches. 5 were faulty. Does the company skip quality check?

  • @ElasticoOFCL
    @ElasticoOFCL 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Oh you should definitely check out kailh box arctic fox. That one produce the most unique sound profile from all of the box click bar switches! Thou, they're more on the mid-high budget coming around 65 cents per switch but I still label them as the best budget option if you can't afford something like zeal's clickez switch.
    Oh yea also, what I did when closing the box style housing was to hold press the stem and them slide the top housing above it. Make sure the kailh name is above the bottom housing's box. It's soo much faster to do that way for me ^^

    I'm planning to build a keyboard with several different switches. Yes mate! One keyboard with dozen types of switches.

    • @KeebNews
      @KeebNews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They should be, yes! They're both "MX-style" stems, so that parts easy. Some will have 3 pins, others might have 5 pins. Either get a 5-pin PCB--OR be willing to clip the 5-pin switches if you get a 3-pin PCB

    I'm actually have an "old" Cooler Master quickfire TK white with mx brown since 2013. pretty happy with it (mostly used playing Starcraft 2) but I'm looking at what's new in switches. I still don't know which switches to try... I don't want to spend a lot of money and find that the keytboard is not for me !
    I've already tried 2 Corsair for nothing and I've lost some money :
    Corsair Gaming K65 RGB RAPIDFIRE - Cherry MX Speed (Silver)
    Corsair Gaming STRAFE RGB - Cherry MX Silent Pink
    I think I'm too used to the mx brown maybe ?
