Timothy's father also needs to be held accountable for this. He gave Timothy to his mother knowing he had neglected and abused him in the past and has no legal parental rights for him. Then did nothing to check on him while he was being horribly tortured to death by his mother.
The fact that he has said nothing after his own sons death showed how much he really cared about his son as well. Literally everyone failed poor Timothy

My mom was very fond of starving me as punishment. For extended periods of time. I dropped enough weight, the school called CPS on her. CPS is the absolute worst. My mom told her, she had to put locks on the fridge and cupboards, because I was jealous of my siblings and would throw all the food away at night. CPS believed her, didn't talk to me, didn't even ask questions about why I was so dangerously skinny. She said, to my mom, IN FRONT OF ME, that my mom had amazing patience to deal with my 'behavioral issues'. This was how my mom came up with the apple diet. I was allowed 1 apple a day, and I had to eat it outside so the neighbors could see me eating something.

That "fish out of water" breathing, is the start of cheyne-stokes breathing, or the last breaths. The mouth opens because the muscles loosen. My grandmother would have done the same, and when we got home, she was at the kitchen table and "snoring" the death rattle. Timothy would be going through that at the time he was found and told see, you don't need to open your mouth to breathe, dummy. Those words were the last ever spoken to Timothy. Heartbreaking. RIP Timothy.

Where else are they going to get a steady stream of inmates and wageslaves than from parent(s) who are forced to have kids they never wanted?
There's a huuuge correlation between Roe being enacted and crime rates dropping 10-15 years later.
Quarter assed CPS assessments now will only get worse. Only being done to say "Well we checked and the kid ain't dead time to go to the next one." and no agent gets in trouble, much less a judge when they deem an unsafe home 'safe' and they advertly murder the kids via parental violence and neglect.
They truly only care if the kid makes it into the workforce or behind bars and the lack of kids from abortion or birth control hurts their bottom line. By banning abortion they're comfortable sacrificing the few that die to keep the rest of the cogs turning.

OMG what a faker!!! Pretending to vomit after being shown photos of what SHE, and her pathetic son, Paul, had done to Timothy would NEVER nominate her for any award!! She just pretended to vomit to garner pity from the jury. I’m hypoglycemic, and I’ve been hypoglycemic for over 30 years, and I remember what I had done. The ONLY time that I didn’t remember was when my glucose levels dropped to a 28. I was in a coma, and I woke up, after 8 hours, in the hospital and not knowing how I got there, because the last thing I remember was boarding the train to go to work. I was scared crapless. I had to monitor my glucose levels, and when they dropped below 70, I had to drink orange juice; I was warned not to drink, or eat, anything that had a lot of sugar in it such as: soda, candy, chocolate bars, donuts, etc.
This heathen, along with her son, should NEVER see the outside of the prison walls!!! Paul COULD have snuck Timothy something to eat and drink, but he CHOSE to continue torturing Timothy!! He MADE the choice to abuse his younger brother, so he should NOT be released!!! Shame on him!!! I hope they BOTH are haunted by the images of what they BOTH done to Timothy, and I HOPE that food is withheld from them by other inmates!!
May Timothy rest peacefully in his eternal slumber, and may he fly high and free with the other angels!!

Other than mispronouncing Shandas name, this was a good account of what happened. Adam and Shanda DID meet online. There's no way that Paul actually fed Timothy the one time he said he did as this would have made Tim violently ill. He would have had to go through refeeding in a hospital. G is not being raised by his grandparents but he does have two great new parents.

This happened less than a mile from where I’m sitting right now, I could walk there from my house straight down the rail road tracks. This was also within a mile of the disappearance of Jessica Heeringa if you’ve seen that case. We deal with a fair share of violence around here but these cases just didn’t seem real to happen in such a small town like this.

My heart is broken for this young man. He was so vulnerable, and these two evil beasts, Paul Ferguson and Shanda Vander Ark, treated him like nothing but an old, unloved dog toy. They murdered him in cold blood by starving him over the course of 7 months. As early as January ‘22 Shanda was preparing to end his life. She ordered the zip ties, shackles, hot sauce, alarms, motion sensors, cameras etc that eventually found their way on to torturing Timothy. I have never felt such rage, such sadness as I felt with this case as the details unfolded. Godspeed, friend.

She is the most wicked monster I've heard of in these cases. And I've sat through a lot of them. That poor child never stood a chance. I cannot believe that the grandparents never tried to gain access to see him. Didn't they thi nk it was odd that they always had to pick Gabriel up from outside. Crazy.
I watched another programme on this case. And it's completely sickening to see how far they took this tirade of abuse and torture. She couldn't even let him sit on the loo for longer than a minute. Her malevolence runs really deep, I don't think I've come across anything as bad as that.
I don't feel sorry for Paul, because I believe he was party to it and he wrote that he enjoyed himself while inflicting torture on Timothy. In fact, the judge said he was worse than his mother.
I believe they both hated Timothy for some banal reason. And yes, I believe that Paul should serve 30 to 100 years. If he comes out in 30 years, he'll be close to 50. And I don't believe he's safe on the streets. I watched when he was sentenced and his head jerked up and I honestly think he thought he was going to walk free or get a light sentence.
It doesn't surprise me in the least that she wants a lighter sentence snd also to gain custody of her children. The arrogance with these sub humans never fails.
Thank you for showing this. RIP Timothy❤❤

The grandparents were only the step grandparents. Tho one could say how come they never asked about Tim they probably assumed he was ok given that G was "well looked after". However begs the question how well he really was looked after seeing he was basically illiterate when he went to live with his grandparents despite being homeschooled . Ppl failed this boy. All the adults in his life failed him and put blame and responsibility on each other. Disgusting.

I work as a behavior therapist with children who have autism and it absolutely breaks my heart to hear this story. A mom who was fully capable of providing a loving and fruitful home for her child instead decided to torture him. There are no words to describe how malicious it is to treat a child this way, especially a child with special needs. I think that Paul is just as much to blame as the mother. He knew right from wrong, but chose to please his mother. He claimed to have Stockholm syndrome, which is ridiculous. Paul is dangerous due to his lack of morals and restraint. So disturbing. I think the judge did a wonderful job and honored Tim's memory. ❤
Also, thank you for covering this story! Love you guys ❤

This has got to be one of the most horrific cases I’ve seen you guys cover. I’m left so sad for Timothy. I wish he had more help from people in his family and services, there is no reason for his neglect and torture to go unnoticed. Heartbreaking to hear from the sister as well.
I hope that psychopath is treated in prison the way she treated her son. The fact that they had the capacity to complain about the food 🤦‍♀️
Not sure if I fully agree with the charges of the other son, but I haven’t met him to understand his possible mental health issues, so maybe life in prison is deserved. Tough to say since he was also quite young and under that dictator. Complicated and sad all around. I think he should get at least 15-20 though if he indeed does have intellectual issues and extreme, lifetime counseling. Or lifetime in a mental facility, and more charges for the people that made him a monster.
I’m autistic (Asperger’s) myself. (And have a B.S. in biopsych) Autism is no excuse. Social conditioning could perhaps be the bigger problem here. Idk. Thank god the youngest kid is with his grandparents, hopefully it’s not a situation of a intergenerational cycle of abuse from the family.
