    Can you show the steps for adding to USB? Also how would it be used? OTG or USB front port?

    • @Restalgia
      @Restalgia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      its really simple. Instead of pressing the synchronize selected games with mini, you would select export to usb. your usb needs to be in your pc, and formated to ntfs or fat32 it doesnt really matter. Then when complete, plug the usb into your console, and turn it on. Can be in the front usb port or Via OTG doesnt matter. :)

    NES Classic=NES, Gameboy and Gameboy color
    SNES Classic=SNES, Gameboy Advance
    Genesis Mini=Genesis, X32, CD, Master System, Game Gear, SG 1000 and Maybe Dreamcast?

    I used Hackchi for all my other Minis except the PS1 Classic of course. Do like the simplicity of adding games and cores, though I really love the way Emustation is setup on Project Lunar. Personal not sure which one I prefer though curious to see the new update from PL brings. PS - Do like that the Retroarch cores are included in hackchi along with the bios from what I see. BTW @Restalgia I notice the Retrobit controller would not work with Genesis game "Zombie ate My Neighbors". Even tried the Sega Genesis Console itself with the Cartridge. Wondering if you came across any other games that it wont respond with. Thanks for all your work on these videos.

      @@Restalgia I was holding out for a hack that allows me to load any game from the system menu. See either this or version 1.1 of project lunar when it comes. I suppose both are great options. Does either version offer custom menu music? could be a tie breaker.

    i made the mistake of using my thinkpad from work to hack my genesis mini, since i have a mac at home.. I messed up since after hacking the mini i uninstalled project lunar without the console plugged. So my back up is probably gone. I tried adding or re hacking my console again from another windows computer but no luck so far. What options do i have? thanks

    I’ve got for my snes mini I play the console without usb for 7 hours and no problems I connected the haki usb card with mod games n hour later it was being temperamental sometimes resetting by itself, freezing, not turning on. Then after 5-10 attempts started working with the mod games the seller suggested I use a better quality usb and 2.0? Anything I’m doing wrong all the mod game and non mod games seem to work fine when working. The resetting is random with no pattern. I will keep testing it. I have on it Atari, nes, megadrive, arcade games all on the usb.

    A couple of Gen Mini Hackchii related questions....
    Is it possible to use a custom background image for stock ui on the Genesis Mini? What custom music? If so what format/resolution does the menu image need to be in? What about audio file?
    Does anyone have and could make available or tell me where I could find the three region Gen/MD Mini stock menu background images?
    Also, the same on the two nonblack borders, included with Gen/MD mini?
    Is possble to replace the background inside/on Retro arch?

      Debug shows you the processes happening I hakchi In real time so if there is an issue, you have the info to see what went wrong. The average person wont really understands what alot of the errors mean, but it can be helpful if you are in need of support.

      "Patton Plays" did a video for Sega CD days ago.
      Basically. Install retroarch and cores. First, this will create the folder system for where you will add the bios files (Patton Plays, did it backwards in the video). Next Name bios files bios_CD_U.bin, bios_CD_J.bin, bios_CD_E.bin for US, Japan and Europe respectively. FTP into your mini, copy bios to ets/ibreto/sys (or system instead of sys, I don't remember off hand.)

    @Restalgia Thanks so much for this. I tried it and it worked, but then after putting games on it retroarch just won't start up again. I flashed the kernel several times, reset it, put it back to original state, then reinstalled, downloaded a new fresh hackchi 3.8 in a new folder. Nothing. The games show up but once you click on it nothing happens. Every game works that is M2 emulation. As soon as you select SNES9x or genesis plus (Konami games and others) it just doesn't work. I also tried it on my SNES mini with the same result. Can you advise?
