I've been on the fence about buying the Genesis mini after picking up Analogue's Mega SG which is pretty amazing. The Mega SG has a pretty clean ROM hack for Sega Genesis and Master System, but it's not "yet" capable of playing 32x roms. I'm pretty happy with RetroPie for 32x emulation, and am a bit miffed that Sega did not present a console that can load actual cartridges.. Nice vid.
I continually get the waiting to reboot issue. Issue fixed: Hit f4 on the main application. Click drivers. Click classic driver and it will install. Worked for me.
Couple important questions... Does the Project Lunar application only work with one specific Genesis Mini, meaning... If I try to use it for adding games to a friend's Genesis Mini, will it either erase my Lunar setup, or tell me to re-install Lunar? How exactly does this work, for multiple Genesis Mini consoles? Another question... How do I remove games off my Genesis Mini, if I want to re-install those games under a different emulator, other than the stock? Please answer these questions.
Awesome tutorial and demonstration, sadly Windows 8 is not supported so I can't even use the program to weigh in my two cents. But I will say it is cool to see how much time and effort this team put in to not only improve the console but to tend to the wants of their fan base. Lunar is a nice looking program and from what I've seen it looks simple and easy to use. 👍😎

Question: I've installed this, games work great. However I can't seem to exit games, I hit reset button and it brings up a complicated menu none of which allows me to get back to the game selection screen. So how do I exit games without turning the power off?
one question, I have SEGA MINI and I used HAKCHI, but, for some reason it messed up the original JPN > EU> USA, box art and games. Not sure how to mix those with the games I additionally add, this LUNAR respects the original configuration??????
@@beetumdadd1 Megadrive, Master System, Sega CD, NES, Master System, MAME, SNES, 32X, Neo Geo, PlayStation all run flawlessly in my testing. My build has games from all these systems running perfectly on my Megadrive Mini, providing you gave overclock and virtual ram installed via hmod in Hackchi. Anything above PlayStation e.g Dreamcast or N64, is hit and miss.

How do you set up a flashdrive to run on the mini cuz sega cd takes up more space, & after adding over 100 genesis games, the console tends to freeze up. I've seen plenty of videos showing me how to add games from the drive, but never how to set it up in the 1st place to recognize the drive.
Just format a Flash drive with NTFS or fat 32 then Plug it in to a front USB port On powered off Genesis/Megadrive Mini. Then turn the console on and wait 2min and it should automatically add the necessary files to Flash Drive. Then power off the Genesis Mini. Then plug Genesis mini into the PC and connect to game manager. And it should recognize the external storage thats plugged into Genesis mini. If it doesn't recognize it try formatting flash drive with a different program sometimes the windows formatting for Flash drives does not work.
I have a question if you use project Luna to add more Genesis games'32x games'game gear and Master system games you will delete all the games and replace the one you downloaded?!
No worries it's not as bad as I made it sound. It actually just Quarantine s The files. then I have the option to mark them as safe.. But in my case it's easiest to just disable the virus software while installing

Evertime I get to the syncing the games bit , it keeps coming up saying is your console plug in and it is and i've tried 3 or 4 different usb cables and they all do the same so dunno whats?
Maybe it's already synced, try just plugging the USB cable in with the power off on the console, then just turn the power on and see if it syncs up that way.
Are there really no options on this mini to fix the samn screen? Even the Turbografx-16 mini has a option to have to screen fill the bottom and top... the screen image on this genesis mini is small.....
vimm.net has an archive of almost every Genesis ROM released in North America. Along with a crap ton of other systems. It's virus-free and easy to use. I've been using it since the NES mini came out and it's been very helpful!

I’m stuck at the FEM mode I did the power on reset and cable right and the switch just like but nothing is working for me I don’t get it. I used every single file. The 64 bit didn’t work the 86bit didn’t work. I have the right equipment and I reinstall them many times and also made sure I’m doing the exact same thing like you’re doing but it just won’t work.
I had this issue with Windoze 10, had to disable Digital driver signing in the restart menu, once I did this (and disabled the firewalls and anti-virus software) it ran like a dream!

They don't run very well. Have you noticed? I got audio and gameplay lag with Doom, for example, yet Doom 32X is flawless. What do you think is the issue?
@@whoawhoapop1984 I don't use PL anymore. I'm on Hackchi. Make sure you've sourced good Roms and choose the correct cores. Snes 9x for snes and Nestopia for nes. Should be fine.
Extra cores/emulators have to be downloaded then added via game manager. It's pretty complicated to explain whole process via comment. If you go to the website link for Project lunar there is a discord you can join That can provide a lot of help.

Do not Install Project Lunar. Get Hackchi, because you can't uninstall Lunar. Maybe you can, and your pc is fast. You can't install Hackchi back again. I have big problem. I can't install again. Because my laptop was slow. Repair reinstall all, and boom. I can't uninstall Lunar. I can't install, Hackchi back. 😡 Now I am ready to buy a Sega Mega Drive mini again. How is it limited? You can do the same things in PL, plus the scraper is far superior. I've got MD, MS, 32X, NES and SNES all running perfectly in PL.

My question is, when I load up a 32x game it starts up on the 16-Bit Project Lunar screen and I can't really do anything

Any "Anti-virus" that deletes files automatically, I would be removing it from my PC pretty quick.

If you're only looking to play only Genesis games the true blue mini is the easiest. Otherwise I prefer project lunar.

How do you delete games from retroarch? I deleted a game from the game manager but its still on retroarch.
I went with Hakchi, the folder support let me do a complete build. Something Lunar has yet to really do.

I have been trying for two-plus weeks to get SNES and NES games. I have messed with cores and emulationstation. Flash drive. Etc still no luck
