    I just installed one of those in my GMC Acadia, SLE and I love it. That auto stop start is so aggravating, one of the craziest things that Auto makers decided to put into new vehicles. Everyone has their own opinion about the benefits, but all I experienced was aggravation. Thanks to the maker of the auto stop eliminator.

    I’m really not one to tear into things like this, but I gotta say, after watching your video a few times, I thought it looked easy enough and after receiving my order and letting set there for a day or so, I tackled the job on my 2021 Sierra 1500 AT4! Took my time and had to refer back to this video a time or two, but it went extremely well and only took me an hour start to finish and I didn’t break anything! Thanks for a well done & detailed installation video! Love this truck… now even more!

    How is GMC/ Chevy not embarrassed that people are going to these extremes to disable a feature that should be an option.

    I have a 2020 and luckily my auto start/stop hasn’t worked since I picked up my truck when it was new! Truck has since been leveled and tires upgraded to 295/70R18 and a Rough Country plug & play speedometer calibrator installed to correct the speedometer, and I can vouch that it has raised the speed limiter from the 99mph to a higher limit. Also changed the shift ratios to accommodate the 2” larger diameter of the tires.

      I just viewed a more detailed video of this installation. 100% won't be doing that to my 2024 Silverado. There is some gizmo you attach to the battery that seems to work okay, maybe do that.

    • @Boobtube.
      @Boobtube. 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jloutz yea, but that device your talking about messes with the battery voltage indication that the computer receives, so it will not know when the battery gets low and to shut things down like heated steering wheel or rear defrost etc. That device is a "riggins" in my opinion that will only cause more issues. I installed what Don did, on my 2024. Was I happy about doing it? No. But after watching several videos over and over, I had the confidence to take it on. Just took my time and did not rush myself. I referred to the video every step of the way. Really, it is not that bad. Sure the noises can scare you when popping off the panels, but you gotta want the feature turned off bad enough in order to do this job.

    Awesome video. I just bit the bullet and got an Auto Stop Eliminator kit and was wondering how to install with the full console. Most other videos are in trucks without consoles, so while they're good videos, too, I still needed a bit more information. I have a 2020 Denali with the console, and this video helped me figure out what to do with those parts to get to the lower screws on the control head. Thanks for this. Never knew the phone charger pad had an air flow passage under it to help keep it cool.

      Interesting. If the blank switch ‘moves’ and still has the motion and internals of a functional switch then maybe…You could run some leads out of your garage remote transmitter (hide behind the dash) and wire up your switch. If the switch is fake it would be way more difficult.

They might’ve done something else to it plus, adding the new battery I have a camera system that I bought through GM and the dealership that I bought it from installed it and the dealership that I took it to to have, it fixed when they put the new battery in never mentioned anything about it but when I took it back to that same dealership, they said that they couldn’t do anything more for me because there were some type of interference with the auto on off start function because of the Wires from the camera system that are running throughout the vehicle, I did take it to the dealership that I bought it from and they won’t honor it because of the after my market wires that are in the vehicle and I don’t know what to do or how to fix it. This is great and thanks for posting this video.
    However I must say I expected something that will be rather plug and play, instead of "some assembly required".
    My understanding is that car manufacturers are forced to set up 'auto-start/stop' in such ways, in order to meet government regulations, which I find very unfortunate.
    Hopefully the EPA will leave these 'helpful' aftermarket companies alone, who are producing these 'helpful' gadgets.

    How about a totally free way to permanently disable the auto stop start feature in 5 seconds with no disassembly required. This is embarrassingly easy. Get a toothpick or something like it. Push on the existing auto stop start button and hold it down while you jam the end of the toothpick into the space between the button and the bezel so the button is stuck in the “pushed” position. Voila. I did this to my Kia soul for 4 years and now to my one year old hyundia palisade.
    I hate the auto start. Such a stupid thing and very annoying

    Also the only reason they did that is to wear down your flexplate and starter to the max to where you have to take it to the dealer or transmission shop and have the transmission pulled out install a new flexplate and starter so it will cost you a fortune they do it to all the cars and trucks so they will make millions of dollars on top of what they already made but they will tell you it's for green environment yeah rightI'm going to put mine in on my new 2021 Chevy Silverado if I would have known it was like that I would not have bought it also the pointed doors that slam into your knees radio that always comes on whether you want it on or not switching from 4 cylinder to V8 all this is a deterrent so they will break down and you take them into the dealer that is a shame Detroit Michigan treats all of their customers they are backstabbers they think they know what we want because they are in competition with Ford and Dodge Chrysler !!!!!

    Your kidding all that work to put the override kit in? F that. Il just get in a habit of turning it off. Ridiculous to take 3/4rs of your dash off. There is a video that you can hookup a module on your battery that takes 30 seconds. To take that much of your dash apart is just plain stupid. Then what happens you Crack something or damage the dash? Now you're worst off. Sorry but much easier to push the button and your off.PS: Not to mention using tape all over the place. Iv got better things to do then take apart my $50,000 + truck. Not to mention does it void the warranty not that i would care anyway since i wouldn't do this stupid installation. Well you got lucky one wrong move your day is starting of bad. But hey if that bugs you that bad to go thru this more power yo ya. I notice tho when you have it in trailer mode it turns off at least mine does. I use my truck mainly pulling my 29' camper the rest of the time it stays in the driveway. I have a elantra I drive around for everyday driving. My 2021 elevation 5.3 v8 sucks gas reason it stays in the driveway. Besides I'm not crazy about driving it anyway. But we love camping so I need it. I will sell it if we sell the camper and get something smaller but until that happens my little alantra will do. You have great videos but this one is not one of my favorites. Il keep subscribing tho. Sorry if I came a little strong on this topic.
