How to Permanently Disable Auto Start Stop / Idle Stop and Go. Free! Fast. Easy. No Wiring!

- Tired of how your car engine turns off / shuts down when you come to a stop? This is due to Auto Start Stop technology. I thought of a solution for this a long time ago. It's free! There's no wiring. You don't have to buy anything. You don't have to remove your console. And you can easily remove this if you want to. This has been working in our Hyundai Palisade for 5 years now! I believe it will work in many Hyundai's, Kia's, and possibly Genesis vehicles. I hope it works in a lot of other makes and models. Please let me know if it works in yours, or if it doesn't work in yours. How to turn off / disable stop start. How do I. Telluride. Sonata.

Thank you for this sir. I love my 23 Palisade, but man I almost sold it cause the stop/start engine feature was driving me crazy, specially here in Vegas where in the summer is easily 110+ and the AC also turns off with this feature. Thank you.

Id like to do the same with my 2023 Hyundais auto door lock feature. Drives me crazy. Locked the doors with the key faub inside last week. Planning on door panel removal and unplug this weekend. There is no option to disable. Only on with shift or speed.
Hello. Which auto lock are you referring to? When you out the car in Drive? Or is it locking on its own after you get out of the car? Rick
Its pathetic.. why not just allow user to turn it off permanently for good..
Well cause then you would have to spend months of break down time and thousands of dollars on new parts. Probably for the same reason you go to a dealer with the idea of the exact car you want and they "can't find it" on the lot and try to sell you something else. Anything associated with cars just can't be flat out honest. It's all got to be a trick.
The car literally feels as though it’s stalling at a stop light 😆.

I honestly can't believe hyundai doesnt do an over the air update to their settings to allow you to turn this off by default. With all the attention to detail they put into the car itself and how usable the software is i really dont get it. Will try this on my 2023 and let you know!

This feature is not reflected in the stated EPA figures for the vehicles. If you were in the city and stopped for a longer time it might make a difference of 10 percent according to some private test. That said, it is annoying and very hard on the vehicle to keep doing this. I can not imagine shutting down the air conditioner for a couple of minutes waiting for a light to change.
I disconnected the separate battery of this "Start-Stop" system. Now "Jackie Chan" is constantly lit on my dashboard, but the car has stopped irritating me.
