Kevin Ratcliffe I had to replace the standard insole with some from an old pair of Mizunos in my Clifton 5s. It was like it was cutting into my arch. Much better now and I am enjoying them now.

Furthermore that eva foam compresses way too quickly. Never got more than 300kms out of any Hokas i used. And i had quite a few !
If Only yeah my rincons died at 160 miles, about the same as you but I’m willing to keep trying in the hopes that one day one will go past that distance!

The clifton 6's were noticeably more wide than previous models of the Clifton such as the 5. You may fit into a wide version of the Clifton 6. I'd go into a store and try a pair on!
Clifton 1's are still my favourite. I still have 4 new pairs hoarded, which won't last me long. I find the Clifton 7's soles still a bit too soft and causes me to pronate. They remind me of the Napali... I don't think I will get much mileage in them...
I only got 200 from my Rincon. Foam went flat. One day 180 miles felt good, then 20 miles later, pain. In fairness I used them for a marathon through 2” of rain but that shouldn’t affect shoes that bad. I’ll likely try another pair.

The Rincon is lighter and faster, but plenty of folks seem the think it's plenty cushioned for long runs. So why do you think people would ever choose the Clifton over the Rincon?
I recently bought the C6, and I like it. Admitently the shoe digs into my arch on the inside... I have a narrow foot but my feet are on the flat side. It may be a "break the shoe in" issue. Other than that I like the C6 alot. The C7 looks cool as hell I think!
Regarding the arch, are you referring to the high stiff feel? Whats your C6 mileage? When my C6 still new, i can feel that stiff arch but i no longer feel it after 40km mileage

How would you compare the Clifton 7 vs the Skechers GoRun Ride 8 Hyper? .... strictly for the long runs (double digits). I have recently discovered the Ride 8 and so far it has been the best shoe for my 10 -18 mile training runs and they are friendly to my naturally flat feet.

You said the Clifton 7 has RMAT for the midsole. That is a big change from the Full Compression EVA midsole they used in previous Cliftons. Is that accurate?

Hey i just ordered the Clifton 7 and want to get a faster shoe but i want it to be hoka what should I go for I was thing like the Mach 4 or rincon 2 or something but I’m not sure because I have really flat feet
@@Believeintherun Its def not the same, they are narrower, firmer, and the low slung ankle collar means there is pressure on your heel, And i am not a fan of the gusseted tongue
I had to stop wearing most Hokas because of their terrible heel counters and then they go and mess it up even worse with the Nike elf thing that every company is blatantly stealing. I used to be a really big fan of the Hokas, but they're really not the same as they used to be. Their only great new shoe is the Carbon X, and everything else feels crude and unpolished.
Since the 7 is mostly the same shoe, that means it's time to hoard the Clifton 6s when they go on sale!

I only got 125 miles out of the rincon. For 115$ thats kinda expensive. I like the cliftons way better
What happened to them? Mine are on 110 miles and I could get at least 100 more out of them

The rincon doesn’t hold the cushioned feel as long as the Clifton. Over time the Clifton wins out over the Rincon.

Softer shoes can cause arch pain because they give more causing the arch to stretch.
